As decent of a producer Johnny Ace was as hes one of ppl responsible for the match quality improving and letting the Wrestlers have more time in ring in 2000 and 2001 but some of his descions were just bad calls as one of the reasons he wanted Brock to pull that shooting star press according to JR was to take credit for the ending

Maven did the same like RVD, broke his leg doing baseball slide during a match with Christian, and he continued the match until the end. What's worse is that he said he did baseball slide practically his whole life because he was a baseball player and only got wrong in his WWE run

Orton's separated shoulder from just pounding the mat to set up an RKO should be on here. Same with Rock kicking out from a Cena move at WM29 and tearing his abs/adductor.

Honorable mentions: 1. Christopher Nowinski (double missile dropkick). This happened at the Royal Rumble in the Rumble match. 2. Kevin Nash (walking across the ring to his opponents corner to knock someone off the apron). This occurred in July 2002 during a tag team match.

@4:45 christian also suffered a major injury doing a baseball slide. he suffered a high ankle sprain. doctors and athletes have said it is better to break your ankle than a high ankle sprain.

@@acetarlton4047 you ain’t lying. I managed to go the first 26 years of my life or so without breaking any bones. Then within a year and a half span broke 3, cracked rib, broken nose and broken hand. Never went to doctor for any, didn’t have any insurance at the time unfortunately. But they all healed in a few months or so. Then, shortly after the last, had a really dumb bicycle accident, where I didn’t break any bones thankfully. It was a pretty cool landing, as I basically did a baseball slide and managed to pop up and actually end up landing on my feet. My knee was a bit skinned up, but a week later after the sting of that stopped hurting, I started noticing a pain in my shoulder. That pain was the tendon torn completely off the bone. Over a decade later it still hurts, quite a bit. Surgery was recommended, but everyone I’ve ever talked to that had that surgery regrets having it. So I just deal with it. 😢

The injury was so bad that he had to put a 17 inch rod on his broken leg and the doctors weren't even sure if he would be able to fully recover from it, but fortunately after around three years of rehab not only did Sid fully recover from the injury but also he was able to wrestle again.

Craziest part of Sid’s leg break is, I do t think they showed it on the PPV. Iirc, they cut away from it. But then, on Nitro, they showed it 5 times each from like 3 different camera angles.

Oh Yeah, 5:14 I remember this, it happened right when I first started watching AEW and I didn't really even know who FTR were at the time, when they came back they were literally "That team with the guy that tore his arm open" for about a week until I finally realized who they were. That feels like it was both not that long ago but also a really long time ago. 😅👍

Me being a medic for almost 20 years and now a trauma nurse, injuries like the one Sid had don't usually bother me. But the more I watched it, the more I get that cringe tingling feeling in my body. Yeah...Definitely one of the worst injuries I've seen happen live

The match didn't exactly continue around Sid. Jarrett didn't keep working. JJ had been tossed out of the ring before the Bret's rope leap, and he didn't get back in until the match ended. The only working he did was posing after the match. Steiner had to stall for time while the mystery man, Animal, walked down to the ring. Steiner did a couple of moves which didn't require moving Sid (a foot choke and an elbow drop) and some push-ups. Also, given that Sid couldn't move, it wasn't "adding insult to injury" for him to take the pin; he had to take the pin. He was taking the pin anyway, presumably after being hit with a gimmick by Animal whose identity was hidden (and yet completely meaningless when revealed).
