I just respect rvd for refusing to go to iraq, most of the planet didn't support the illegal the war, even if Vince has a boner for the military, the whole point of our country is you have the right to say f no I don't support that, that's what rednecks don't understand haha they don't realize thats the whole point, the freedoms being protected is the freedom to call the country out on its BS
Guys like The Undertaker, Triple H, John Cena, Brock Lesnar will have earned McMahon's respect. not alot of guys can stand up to him & not put up with Vince's crap. Bret Hart made the right call in making Taker the locker room leader.
Bret doesn’t really deserve an apology because honestly, that could’ve been avoided if he just drop the title on his last day, but no, he had be a whinny little baby and not want to drop it. But yeah, legendary.
@@Blackhomeking12 exactly, that’s the problem, he didn’t wanna drop the title because he was in his hometown, when so many other wrestlers have done it, but he wanted to be a dickhead about it
@@Blackhomeking12nah it wasn’t about his hometown Bret said he had no problem dropping the belt but when he found he was facing Shawn he tried to shake his hand and Shawn rejected so from that point on he refused to drop it to Shawn. if he would’ve wrestled someone else he would’ve dropped it with no issue
You're leaving out the part where Vince came to see Bret in the Locker Room and Bret told Vince if he was still there that Bret would punch him in the face. And Vince stayed.
Let it be known that RVD also said in the past that it wasn’t due to any political opinion or hate against the troops, he was just burned out and really wanted time away. It wasn’t anything deep.
@@twinzzlers most of the world countries are imperialist or has an imperialist history, so most people of those counties are bound to support imperialism. There's no American exception. That's why wwe booked matches linked to the two Iraq wars during both wars. They had plenty of anti- American gimmicked wrestlers. And they all worked like a charm to get over the baby face they wanted to push. Even worked for a liar and a real life heel like Hulk Hogan. VKM tried to pull the same thing with Mustafa Ali but he refused and requested his release.
@@SharkVshore not to mention that he literally had a fight with Goldberg in the lockerroom and everyone agreed, actually won. Though it was more of a tug match because Goldberg never threw a punch back and Jericho had him in a front face lock the entire time. Until they were split and Goldberg grabbed his hair. But nah Jericho has no reason to be afraid of anyone. The man's a rockstar. Drink it iiiiiiin, maaaaaaaaaan!
Jericho is a complete crybaby. He’s constantly bitching and moaning and crying about all the things he doesn’t want to do. And he would’ve actually been killed by Brock Lesnar and it wouldn’t even be competitive.
The Montreal Screw Job, how is it that everytime we hear about it, we get another person's perspective we didn't get before? I'm expecting the perspective from the Candy Venders next.😂
I feel lucky that I grew up in the 90's, watched WWF/E in the early 2000's. Occasionally I may still watch snippets of modern WWE but thats it. But now that most of the performers in the 90's are nearly all retired or even passed away, all the stories are coming out, some bad, some great and some sad but its all incredible insight what those men and women went through in past WWE. Incredible stories
People act like Vince is evil, but take a moment to think about how nearly impossible it must have been to deal with thousands of the biggest egos in wrestling like Vince has over the years. PS, Vince might be evil.
I guess Kofi’s fight with Vince didn’t make this list because Jericho had to “push” him to stand up to Vince! It’s a interesting and kinda funny story though!
Probably didn't blink an eye. A lot of these monsters in interviews talk about how intimidating vkm is in person. Guessing that Mr McMahon character is more tha just a gimmick.
Mick Foley and The Undertaker are two of the greatest of all time, not just because of their skills as professional wrestlers but also because of their ethics and their willingness to call bullshit when they see it. Absolute legends.
I had always seen Mark Henry as one scary man. But when he started introducing people to the Hall of Pain, I legitimately thought that there was no one that would be able to beat him. What a great gimmick and it just goes to show that no matter how long it takes, if you believe in yourself and strive for greatness, you will be rewarded in due time.
Some of the wrestlers on the list have either know intimidation when they see one, or brave enough to show no fear in ‘em, which I applaud these guys for standing up, even RVD!!!
Well one did assault him because Vince was trying to sexually assault him. He even sued for sexual harassment, don't know what happened in court. I do believe the guy got blacklisted or something
@@themachoechidnaugandarandy7583 Yes I believe the guy you are talking about is Nailz. Unfortunately he had a bad reputation for being stiff and a bit douchey. He confronted Mr. McMahon about not getting paid enough and VinnyMac said something that triggered him. Nails attacked and everyone separated them but to make sure that Nails was not put on the chopping block first he claimed Vince sexually assaulted him and since Vince has lots of allegations Vince must have not mentioned the assault and Yes nails was pretty much blacklisted for this
Vince seems to think cause he’s boss and has all this money he can control people and at the same to earn Vince’s respect you would have to stand up to him
It's crazy to think that Rob Van Dam, who's not one of WWE's top guys, stood up to Vince about not being part of the (voluntary) Tribute to the Troops show.
Vince is a tough boss for the sole purpose that he deals with a lot of guys who believe they are the nexr big thing. Sadly the majority suffer from massive egos. When you try to be one of the boys people walk all over you. I think Tony Kahn can learn a thing or 2 from the way Vince runs his place with an iron fist.
Yeah, all these indie jobber losers are only in WWE because of Triple Nose and Screecher McMahon because they wanna be on F@g Marksler’s(Dave Meltzer) good side and all the other smark dickheads who have driven away over half the fans and all that’s left are psychotic nerds who send death threats to people
Bless you Mick Foley. Vince never liked people who stood up to him. Granted, Vince was nostalgic and brought people back long after bad feelings had cooled. But he was not able to tolerate being criticized internally like that.
Ever since the WWE acquisition By Endeavour completed, Vince is slowly getting less and less of a say, and Triple H is getting more and more of one, Endeavor knows what they're doing, just look at WWE's ratings/storylines slowly getting better under HHH
Honestly, RVD not wanting to go to the tribute to the troops. Takes my respect for him down a notch. As for standing up to McMahan. According to Chris Jericho Vince McMahon will always listen and he will always take into consideration the idea if it's good for the company.
Pretty much everyone I expected to be on this list was on this list. Although idk who nailz is. But the one person I didn’t expect was Mustafa Ali. But I guess it shouldn’t surprise me all that much considering the fact that he had talent. Sum ppl I expected to be on this list and wasn’t was Shawn Michaels, Cena, Triple H, Goldberg, there’s a lot of names out there that I expected to be on this list but surprisingly wasn’t
Imagine being mad at a decision your boss makes and you just storm into the office and yell at him and eventually get it worked out. Being a wrestler is so awesome. 🤣🤣
Vince McMahon is not an idiot. Even if we fans know everything better and some decisions of McMahon were very questionable I am very sure that Vince McMahon can judge very well what he has in a wrestler and what not.
nailz is my hero for what he did. we have seen so many squash matches in the past between lasnar and roman that i wanna see another one where lesnar kicks romans a@@ again. out of all 10 guys on the list taker and lesnar are the only 2 who survived standing up to vince.
The Nexus should have done what The Shield did. They could have saved their careers. Of course Vince would only listen to Cena, and not Edge & Jericho.
The funniest and most random thing about Vince is the fact that he legit LOVES MLK Jr. Vince rarely uses Twitter, but would post a tribute on MLK Jr. Day every year. One former writer said that Vince said that of all the video packages, he no sold all except for the Tribute to the Troops and MLK Jr. I even remember every once in a while, there would be a framed photo of MLK Jr. in his office 😂. It’s just the most unexpected thing ever.
Before watching the video I will guess in no particular order: Brock Lesnar, Undertaker, Stone Cold, HHH, Shawn Michaels, The Rock, Hulk Hogan, Jeff Jarret, CM Punk and idk about the last one. Rick Flair??
so the Shield who at the time were new to the main roster stood up to Vince explained why them loseing doesn't help them but hurt them so Vince changes his mind...............now if only the Nexus stood up to Vince they could have had the ending changed when they lost at Summer Slam.
Bret Hart also should've been on the list. He left the the company after the screwjob but he literally stood up to him spitting him in the face and punching him backstage. He also could've left speechless
Undertaker is the only Wrestler that stand up to Vince & not get punished for it. He told Vince to go see Hart in the locker room right after The Match. I don’t see another Wrestler that could do that. HHH, Michael’s, Cena, or Lesnar would be able to do that without repercussions. Yes, Lesnar tossed the Title @ Vince & Vince called him an A$$hole, but I don’t remember any stories of Undertaker ever getting physical with Vince when he was upset with him. Vince truly respects him. HHH is his son-in-law, yes, but there’s a deeper bond between Mark & Vince!
