*I think most people will agree that Shawn Michaels retired peacefully at WrestleMania 26 and that Crown Jewel 2018 which is nothing but a bad nightmare. Let’s just keep it that way.*
Chris Jericho has wrestled a lot of icons, talents, and legends: Stone Cold, Rock, Shawn, Edge, Triple H, John Cena, Sting, Okada, Liger, Eddie, Punk, Omega, Roman, Mox, Seth, Naito, and so much more. His experience is second to none.
I know that HBK retired on WM26. But still back in the day it was fun seeing him in the ring nonethless. I mean all others has been wrestling from time to time, and Shawn wasn't for 8 years yet he still did best in that botch fest. Only his chops were awful, that moonsault botch wasn't his fault. For sure one of the greatest in the ring for a reason
Undertaker did share a locker room with Andre and Taker has said more than once that the only time he spoke to Andre, he said that Andre said to him that he has a plan to face Taker and he knew they'd have a good match. Andre wasn't around too long after that and Taker never knew what the plan that Andre has was. It's one of the biggest what-ifs. Just imagine "The 8th Wonder of the World" Andre the Giant vs. "The Phenom" The Undertaker
@@Aoxomoxoa10I doubt it. If Andre made a point to speak to the new guy, he saw something in him. I'm thinking Andre would have put 'Taker over big and made him a megastar earlier.
@@JasonRogueyeah... they could've still ended it, but they should've given the win against Taker to a huge up-and-comer like Roman Reigns, not a part time, already proven to be great Brock Lesnar...
But if you think about it his whole mask sickens gimmick might have been based off of Roman getting leukemia and the disease people were catching around that time
If Jericho was sticking around any longer in WCW that match could have taken place. Unfortunately Macho was getting older, but he for sure would have elevated Jericho, same he did with DDP.
@@Youngmulababyyyyyou really think a guy like Brock or Braun couldn’t bully a dude like say, you? Or are you not a grown man? Age wise maybe but emotionally you still a little boy 🤣🤣🤣🤫
What blows me away about Randy Orton mission his WM21 rehearsals, was that even after he missed it, Taker had still wanted to do the job and let Orton be the man that ended the streak, but I think it was because of this that Orton recognized that he himself knew that he was not ready for such a huge honor and elected to do the job to Taker at Mania and keep the streak alive.
I also heard this somehwere. To be more exact...I've heard the original plan was to let Orton end the streak (as he had this running gig called "Legend Killer"). He didn't feel worthy. Not sure if Taker wanted this tho.@@ckdaimen8028
As I recall, the plan *was* for Orton to go over. However Orton got hurt before the match and they changed it because Orton would need time off and wouldn't be able to capitalize on it.
To be honest I though Cena burying the Nexus would be on here. He has said that he regretted that decision in the interviews he’s done. And I hope Triple H regrets burying wrestlers during and after his reign of terror.
It’s been years, but still never get the hype behind the nexus. Like they were just another faction, but I never thought of seeing any of those guys having an epic singles career ahead unlike the shield or the new day
I'm not sure if Seff Rollins realizes this, but that photo of Kurt in the Shield in those nosebleeds when he's got a huge smile on his face is like the most wholesome thing on the internet and everyone Loves it! Fucking... LOVES it!
Kurt was absolutely having the time of his life and I don't think Seth was upset about Kurt being there, more that Roman wasn't. That was the big reunion match and Roman had to miss it. Then, Dean gets injured and leaves for 9 months so they didn't really get much of a reunion at all.
When Taker made his Debut in 90 he was far from the worker that he became later in his career. Andre barely could move. I don't think that match could be enjoyable to watch.
Cena can't physically wrestle any more though, the Rock retired young in great shape. The Rock also barely comes back, even for an appearance whereas Cena shows up any chance he gets!
Right? Cena's regret is stupid. He was absolutely, 100% right on everything he said about *Dwayne*. The other big Attitude era stars all wrestled until their bodies gave out. Trips, Austin, Taker, Bret, Foley... They're all wrecks. Dwayne is in great shape. He quit because money, because he likes acting more than wrestling. Cena, like those attitude stars, is a complete wreck. Nobody stood as the company's biggest draw, in the big main events, for as long as Cena.
not letting CM Punk main event WM and giving Bray Wyatt as the Fiend a early push as Universal Champion were they're biggest mistakes as well, they just dropped the ball on the Shield reunion and Dean Ambrose's heel turn
Well, between rocks and cenas Hollywood ventures, there still is a huge difference. Rock left us high and dry, while he was still in his prime, and not stale. While Cena wasn't ready to pull a hulk hogan (bash at the beach) and inject his career with a fresh breath of air. So Cena leaving for Hollywood did not stind as hard as rocks leave did (somehow).
@@bigguccidrejones4183 but that where one of my main points in pointing out the difference, that you seemingly missed out on. I did not argue, that rock put some guys over, cena did that as well. my point was to point out the difference
Triple H and The Rock is still one of my favorite fueds to this day I was kid when this was happening and It was one of the best things ever for me , even when they teased it later I was so excited
when jericho came about in WCW, Madness Savage was the OG Wolfpack protagonist, fighting power control with Hollywood Hogan and ended up having a classic trilogy with DDP. he had no time for a rookie.
It was a good move but they ruined him when they toned him down around the “embrace the hate” storyline and they assassinated Kane when they turned him cooperate
WWE not putting Fandango over when they had the chance. Seriously when everyone in the arena are dancing at your intro you had a Mega Star in your hands.
Jericho put him over at WM, but Dango got injured right before winning the IC title after. Vince actually blew it later with Breezango (who were getting themselves over).
@Holku0 Vince HATES stars organically getting over. He wants to control the narrative and if he doesn't think someone should be over, he refuses to change his mind. Look how hard he fought against Daniel Bryan
It’s good to hear Randy Orton talk about the fact he was an asshole when he was younger. The fact that he isn’t like that anymore and is willing to admit the error of his ways shows just how much he has really matured and changed as a person.
@JavarianBrewster-bo1ou HBK was far worse. He was getting dudes fired and created a terrible work environment, considering he had influence with Vince. HBK was a cancer while Randy was melanoma.
Randy does seem to have grown up a lot. I think getting married and having kids helped a lot with that. He was so young when he started and it's easy to be arrogant and cocky when you're getting all that attention at such a young age. He let it go to his head
Here's some fantasy booking - Jericho being Savage's protege in WCW 1996 to form a strong tag team mowing down the tag division for a full year, only that the former turns on the latter in 1997, leading to an epic teacher vs student feud in where they each trade wins back and forth for 5 months before ending their storyline with Jericho pinning Macho Man at Starrcade. Those two could've made some great chemistry together.
The biggest regret is the largest wrestling brand is run by a bullying narcissist, and littered with bad eggs. Therefore likely being the worst place to work for, unless you fit Vinces fantasies. Oh and JBL made a career out of being a bully.
JBL has been a real life bully for years. Mauro is bipolar and that did play a role in his exit but several people confirmed his part of Mauro’s exit. And his history of bullying people has been exposed especially Joey Styles and Stevie Richards beat him up for real over it. He is still one of my favorite heels but he gotta start showing remorse for his actions. He lucky Vince McMahon is a bigger bully than him.
For many reasons I can understand Kane not wanting to wear the full mask anymore; primarily the difficulty talking and trying to be a full-go wrestler without much more than a mouth-slit beyond the ability to nose-breathe… That’s what I thought the initial half-mask was meant to address. He could talk and breathe freely, he could still have the larger than life mystique of a cool looking (half)mask and he could keep his long hair a while longer which would’ve kept his wife happy I realize that even the half-mask likely wouldn’t have lasted forever, but then again he went and started wearing that atrocious fruit roll-up looking mask with $1 costume store wig, so… Corporate Kane is the least memorable gimmick I have when it comes to the character, though I did like the team-up with Big Show, even though they were more silly than they should’ve been… could’ve been booked much better even if they were still ultimately going to be used to put others’ over
-Undertakers last 4 yrs of wrestling -Kevin owens winning universal title -Chris Jericho last 3 1/2 years in wrestling Brat Wyatt not ending the streak The debut of secondary shows thunder rampage smack down etc
It's only natural to have regrets. But the worst thing someone can do is pretend something didn't happen when it did in fact happen. DX fought The Brothers of Destruction at Crown Jewel. A match that was a pure disaster. A match that essentially disregarded Shawn Michaels' retirement in 2010. A match that certainly wasn't necessary. They all have to live with that match. But the besy thing they can do is move forward.
Controversial take.. But I just know some people in AEW will come out and talk about how much they regret the way they dealt with/caused the CM Punk situation in a few years... Especially the guys in and around the Elite
I only found out the Crown Jewel 2018 match recently. I always believed Shawn Michaels retired at WrestleMania 26. I wish it stayed that way permanently. I try to forget Crown Jewel 2018 ever happened. That match at Mania was the perfect send off.
*puts a closed envelope up to his forehead* 1. Fight Club 2. Bruno 3. HBK wrestling at Crown Jewel after he retired. *opens envelope* name three things we don't talk about
Two Matches I Would've LOVED To See........................... UnderTaker Vs Sting When Both Were In Their Prime Taker Vs Andre The Giant When Andre Was In His Prime. 11:30
If I could have booked Takers streak ending, it would have been Cena in the ultimate heel turn. Beating Taker to a bloody mess with weapons and then pin him. And then have Cena come back the next night like nothing happened.
In end 1990 when taker made his debut, andre was completely done in the ring. He was only doing tag matches with haku and could barely walk shortly after. No way he could do a singles match at that point.
I wish that the Undertaker could've gotten to work with Andre The Giant. I'd have love to have seen Undertaker wrestle and beat Andre at Wrestlemania, and Andre being The Undertaker's 1st victim at wrestlemania. Also I wish the undertaker had never agreed to lose to Lesnar at Wrestlemania. Lesnar didn't need the win, and neither did Roman Reigns. If the Iron Man match between Triple H & The Rock had happened at Wrestlemania 16, It would've been a Wrestlemania classic. Stone Cold & Lesnar could've been a good rivalry too.
At the time Romans win was fckin horrible and not needed. Now tho you can argue it’s pretty cool and legendary that the now tribal chief was one of the 2 to beat undertaker. And if Romans legendary status keeps going up then I’d say that was a pretty good investment
I'm okay with him not wrestling Andre. By the time Taker debuted, Andre could barely stand under his own power. It would've been a Crown Jewel level affair. Also, I kind of like Taker's first Streak victim being a real life murderer.
Dude keep up the good work. The best wrestling news channel on the Internet you've come a long way men. Love your content. Would you accept suggestions on videos to do?
Austin shouldnt regret leaving when he did.... It was the perfect time for him to do it. He was basically getting pushed down the card, even though everyone Knew he was "thee guy to beat".... So ultimately it was up to Him whether he shoulda passed the torch to Lesnar at that time... On a Random episode, after a Huge match the week before. Instead if falling down the Card, and down in general..... He Left on Top.
Yes, but he was way too emotional and unprofessional about it. He didn't have to leave for the rest of the year either. Vince made a ton of stupid booking decisions after he bought WCW (2001 & 2002), so I understand why some of the aging stars moved on. It was an exciting time though.
I hope Cena deeply regrets not turning heel around that period he feuded with Rock. That was a massive opportunity missed, and why Roman imo has a better legacy than Cena for being brave enough to push for a heel turn
Roman turning Heel and Cena turning heel are two different things. With how many make-a-wishes granted, Merchandiser sales, and his branding, it'd be hard for Cena to turn heel. For Roman it was easier because he made everything feel forced being hero beforehand; so now it looks like he's taking it by any means necessary
Exactly. Cena wrestled until his body gave out and he simply couldn't do it anymore. *Dwayne* wrestled until he got more money somewhere else. The two scenarios are completely different. Look at all the other Attitude era stars. Taker, Austin, Triple H, Bret Hart, Mick Foley, they wrestled until their bodies gave out and they couldn't do it anymore. Not the Crock, he just left because he doesn't have the passion for the business. He's like Lesnar or Goldberg, just there for a paycheck.
How can you regret something you had no control over? The Undertaker/Andre "regret" is actually an "if only" wish. Same with a few of these. Vince is the one who should regret many of these because he's the one who didn't pull the trigger (or pulled it wrong).
Mauro Reunalo was the voice of Smackdown and the voice of NXT when it was still NXT Black and Gold not just Smavkdown only which no one remembers or talks about
Im surprised that Sting vs Undertaker during his WWE run isn't on here... I am a WWE guy but as a kid I always either taped raw and watched nitro or vice versa. Sting has always been my favorite wrestler and I just think Sting vs Taker was the Wrestlemania moment he and alot of us wanted to see but sadly we never will.
Taker is actually kind of a jerk towards Sting. That was always just a fan dream (and Stinger wanted it too of course). Nobody really wanted it at WWE, which is mind bogglingly stupid. Sting was a WCW guy, WWE never understood him.
@@Holku0 yea, I mean I saw an interview with Taker...wasn't really shoot...he said he would've loved to have wrestled Sting...they were both company men who never left their brand...the funny part is at the end when they ask Taker who would've won hypothetically...Taker says "oh I would've killed him" lol..but ya can tell he meant it in a joking way...I'm sure u know why Sting was so hesitant to join in 2001...he was worried about how Vince would handle his character that he spent decades building...I loved his WWE run...I wish it would've been longer and he had come back to wwe instead of aew which is slowing turning into later WCW lol... he's my all time favorite and I just wish he had gotten more of a chance to develop a continuing storyline...like the feud with the authority was cool, Sting comes in to avenge the brand against a tyrannical faction just like what he did during the NWO invasion...and I truly believe that the reason he lost to HHH at Wrestlemania was due to Vince... I feel like he always held a grudge against Stinger for not coming to WWE after the buyout..and then the geriatric NWO came down to help him even though his entire NWO run in WCW was against Hogan and not with him... should've been no interference and Sting prevailing...his feud with Rollins was great too...
Yeah I don't see how Jericho and Savage would've crossed paths on TV. Unless Jericho wishes it was his lung that Savage collapsed instead of Billy Kidman's lol
I feel like the difference between the rock going hollywood and cena is that the Rock went when he was like a very red hot topic here in wwe, whereas cena went when he and even his fans knew that he wont be here full time in the coming years…. And yeah it may seem hypocritical but hey, he is doing so well now.
Not having: Undertaker vs Sting, DX vs Hardy Boyz, The Rock vs Shawn Michaels, Melina vs Naomi, Kharma vs Beth Phoenix is definitely a blunder I feel these matches would’ve stole the show
I honestly don't blame Austin. Lesnar was the next big thing and Austin was THE face of the previous era. It did nothing for either of them to ha e a pointless squash with no build-up. A proper rivalry and big win for Brock was the only right way to do things.
I think wwe should've just kept the shield separated, when Seth broke up the shield in 2014 i think that should've been the end of the shield, and reuniting the shield kinda ruined that moment
Both in their prime would also require time travel. By the time Taker debuted, Andre could barely stand under his own power. Taker debuted in late 1990, in 1991 Andre had to use crutches to walk. In Summerslam 91, Andre had a brief appearance. Not wrestling, just standing around being intimidating, and even for that he needed crutches. It would've been a crown jewel level affair if the match happened. There should be no regrets.
