@@curryglocc4788 I think he was saying that in that moment he was behind the curtain waiting on him for the shot. I don’t think he meant he was thinking about it lol
@@curryglocc4788 you said booker said he was thinking about waiting behind the curtain for Austin but he said now should I have waited behind the curtain for him, no. I believe with that he’s implying that he indeed did wait for him behind the curtain
@@Crunch_Carter if he was waiting behind the curtain then it would’ve been a different result which would’ve led to a different story, I disagree with you all the way bro but to each his own ✊🏽
Apparently when Ron Simmons returned from his injury and requested his first match back be against Johnson, almost the entire locker room were in guerilla to watch Ron absolutely tear Ahmed a new one.
LOL DID YOU SEE RANDYS FACE AFTER THE MATCH ?? THAT JUST GOES TO SHOW YOU HOW MUCH OF A PRO HE IS , HE TOOK IT ON THE CHIN AND DIDNT GO ON A INTERVIEW TO COMPLAIN ABOUT IT , HE KNEW HIS RECEIPT WAS COMIMG
@@FreePickss Indeed. He took it professionally. Thats all Taker needed to see. Lol, Probably because of this mindgame Taker played with him, Randy went crazy & is the sole reason he now hears voices in his head. Hehe
I think its an unwritten rule in wrestling that if you receive a hit much harder than it does normally you can hit back immediately with one shot. Lesnar on Strowman is a prime example.
I feel sick for the snake. Removing the venom glands from a Snake is a lethal punishment. Often they're defanged or glued shut, but removing venom glands often leads to death.
@@AZNjyc25 YEAH HE WAS THAT GUY , ESPECIALLY AROUND THAT TIME , CLEARLY HE WAS NEVER GONNA PIN BROCK , BUT HE WAS THE ONLY GUY THAT DIDNT GET SQUASHED IN 3 MINUTES AND ACTUALLY PUT IT ON THAT JUICEHEAD ( Chops , Stiff shots , snap suplex’s ) HOLLY IS A LEGEND IF YOU KNOW YOU KNOW
Even though Orton was/is a great athlete and accomplished in-ring performer, I would have to imagine that he had to be shaking leading up to that HIAC match with 'Taker knowing that he had a receipt coming....
@@straightcue2003 Jim Ross and other fans, still think Orton is the best in the world. I’m wondering, what they are smoking. Riddle is more talented than him, and he actually is high.
The unedited footage (which WWE certainly edited to make Brock look evil) showed Holly blatantly going dead-weight and trying to break Brock's grip in MID-AIR and the relatively green Brock just did the move as intended. Holly tried to sandbag young Brock on a powerbomb and got the residuals....
Even I watched in some RU-vid video about Holly trying to be stiff with a new comer and Lesnar not understanding what to do and just performing the powerbomb. But powerbomb was the wrong move to go stiff on and he ended up breaking his neck.
1) "which WWE certainly edited to make Brock look evil" - Jeez, man come on. Get a grip. 2) While idk if the story Holly gives about this event [which for the record has for years now been that this was merely an accident & that they just had off timing leading to the mistake,] is exactly true [though I think it is probably true.] What I do know is that he wasn't trying to screw Lesnar by doing any of the sh-t alleged [like going stiff, trying to break Lesnar's grip, etc..] So, here are some ending links to youtube just put them in after "youtube.com/" to see, comments sections do not like a lot of links in them so I won't be putting full links here. watch?v=aWkT--N6TsU - This is a link to the high def version of the Lesnar/Holly incident. The power bomb sequence begins at the 6 min 43 sec mark. watch?v=gnBK1qvofK8 - There is the old sh-t version so people can see they didn't "edit" the video, though I saw it live on tv at the time so I can tell you they didn't. Now, I'm pretty sure based on what Holly has said before about "...I tried reaching for his head, but just couldn't reach it..." that the move wasn't actually supposed to be an actual power bomb, but was supposed to be what we see take place in that first link beginning at the 7 min 14 sec mark when they resumed the match after the injury. Where Holly ostensibly counters the power bomb & punches his way free. Otherwise there is no reason for him to be trying to grab Lesnar's head as you can see at the following links of other power bombs where the person being power bombed look pretty much exactly like the botched one that injured Holly. watch?v=QTivDiWVBE4 - Big Show power bombing Kevin Nash. watch?v=2LA0FEmMmNA - Hogan power bombing Eric Bischoff. watch?v=kyyx9P-YzqQ - Sid Vicious power bombing compilation. [who I actually met a few times back when I was kid & got to talk with & what not backstage at a family friends' regional wrestling promotion.] As to why Holly does what the op described as "trying to break Brock's grip in MID-AIR" is because that is how wrestlers stabilize themselves to hold their upper body straight during the move. Attempting to rely upon abdominal strength to hold themselves up straight would be dangerous after already doing [x] minutes of the match. The reason I said I think the accident story is probably true has to do with like I already explained I think they were meant to do what they did end up doing at the 7 min 14 sec mark which is why they restarted the match from there. Brock being new-ish in pro wrestling after Holly wasn't able to reach his head ended up attempting to kind of lower him back down. What he didn't realize though is that Holly wouldn't be capable of holding his upper body out horizontally & began straightening out vertically with his head toward the ground. Upon seeing this as he had Holly lowered about halfway back down dropped him so he could hopefully fall on his shoulders still as otherwise the gentleness he would've had to set Holly down on his head would've broken Kayfabe. Unfortunately Holly had already straightened out too much & ended up landing on his neck enough or in the right way that it ended up breaking his neck.
This is an obvious statement but there will never be another Undertaker. The way he conducted himself is legendary, wrestling ability aside. It always gives me goosebumps to hear stories about him being awesome.
Dupré said he put his French flag in the toilet because he wouldn't drink with them. Dupré was underage at the time and had to keep his nose clean because he was in the U.S on a work Visa. That's not being awesome at all. Jericho was suspended for disrespecting a country's flag, there were no consequences for Taker.
Actually Randy should be given the round of applause because he knew the receipt was coming and did not speak negative about taker afterwards, Took it on the chin like a true professional
Taker doing a psychological receipt is genius. You know you own them when they're scared the entire match thinking you're going to give them a legit beating.
Randy did apologize to the Phenom after that botched chair shot. If i recall it right, Take did say something like "accidents happen kid, don't worry about it"
Undertaker was one of the ultimate class acts in wrestling. Even though he is famous for being so big and imposing, and physically dominant. Many wrestlers have stated he is probably one of the safest people you can ever work with in the ring.
One more, Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels, Badd Blood. Physical retaliation you claim is not Taker's style but try telling Mr. Hickenbottom that. Immediately after the Montreal Screwjob Michaels was panicked, having claimed to have nothing to do with it, which was seemingly accepted but the Deadman was legitimately furious as was everyone else. Yet Michaels saw him as the only means of support who might, *might* step in if he was about to be murdered. So the story goes at Wrestlemania the then champion saw him taping up in case Michaels didn't do the job, a story Mark Calaway basically confirmed. However we look to Michaels' own admission in Heartbreak & Triumph where as guest referee at Summerslam, he accidentally clocked the Deadman with a chair. Accidentally as in that was the scripted end of the match where he would reluctantly give Bret the win and he and Taker would enter their own program. However Michaels realized the blow was forceful and to end their Hell in a Cell match he accepted a chair shot of his own as his personal receipt that rung his bell and would have put him down for the thousand count were it not for the debut of Kane.
Kinda surprised that the Blue Meanie - JBL - Steven Richards receipt isn't higher up. Steven Richards swung that chair with every bit of malice he could muster up, and straight blasted JBL to blackout island.
I remember Taker giving a receipt to Muhammad Hassan at Great American Bash 2005. Hassan was throwing these wild left haymakers at Taker, with very little control. A loud crack is heard and Taker goes jelly legged. One massive right straight later and Hassan crumbles to the ring unconscious. Taker then put him in a hold move until Hassan comes to. I can't be the only one to remember that.
Yo, thanks for mentioning this! I'd never seen it, but it's a legit KO from a punch in the ring. I don't think I've seen that before. Doesn't really have the haymakers right before though, the video cuts a bunch. Taker's punch is at 1:38 though. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kX-K8fMugko.html
It’s been two weeks since I attended the big event wrestling convention in Queens New York meeting John Bradshaw Layfield he really was an awesome person. But looking back in 2005 he was asshole, Stevie Richards rightfully he did get justice for blue meanie for hitting JBL with steel chair to the head.
Taker was one of the few people who could legit get receipts on people by merely threatening them. When he made a statement, people listened. Not only with Randy Orton, but also with Shawn Micheals. Let's be real, late 90's HBK was a jerk, to put it lightly. Taker was at the curtain, and threatened late 90's HBK to do what he was supposed to do. HBK, in his drugged up stupor and his bad attitude, sobered up real quick upon hearing that.
most in the list knew and accepted the receipt. Most man up, took it, move on, and became better. Holly was just a bully, then here comes Lesnar, here comes the pain. (i miss the game lol😅😆)
@@britishwordplay4335 I Absolutely Agree And I was watching That Episode of Smackdown And I Had a Smile on my face when JBL Got hit with the Chair because he deserved it.
Steve Austin has openly admitted that he stiffed big show to teach him an important lesson "you're a giant, you don't have to take anything you don't want to" because he thought big show was taking too many bumps that he shouldn't take
Not many would dare try to give Lesnar a receipt either. Says a lot about how pissed off Holly was that he went out there fully intending to fight him legit.
The two wrestlers New Jack pulled a knife out on in the ring & legitimately stabbed multiple times did nothing more than piss him off. New Jack tops the list of wrestlers getting carried away in the ring.
What New Jack did to Mass Transit and William Jason Lane was absolutely reprehensible. There's the time legitimately beat the piss out of 69 year old Gypsy Joe too However, the incident in XPW where Vic Grimes was seriously injured following a fall from scaffolding was a legitimate botch. I know Jack claimed otherwise but that was just to generate heat. If you watch the incident closely you can see Jack hardly pushed Grimes at all. When Grimes pushed off with his foot he gave himself too much forward momentum and fell further out than the straight downward plunge that was supposed to happen.
@@alfie8472 Huh. Not sure what happened to my reply but Wrestlecrap of all places points out the problems with Jack's claim he tried to kill Grimes. When Grimes was supposedly hit with the stun gun he flopped around like a fish out of water. If reality when someone gets tasered their muscles seize up. Then when you look at when Grimes goes over the railing he sure as hell doesn't look like someone trying to avoid being hurled to his death. He and Jack are cooperating the entire time. If you go to the Wrestlecrap site the article should be pretty easy to find because it was posted relatively recently. As I said, New Jack undoubtedly did some terrible things in the ring but it's kind of ironic that he didn't actually do the terrible thing that's most well known.
From what I've heard, Hardcore Holly needs to remember that he is in the wrestling business and the ring is a performance area, not a coliseum. I wonder if he ever crossed a genuine bad man who wouldn't take his rubbish?
Huh? I've never heard of Jake being upset about taking a bite backstage or purposely causing the snake to latch on Savage. I do remember him saying how every match he had with Savage after that was a shoot for the first 5 minutes until Randy would calm down.
We all miss the Blood and profanity and the nudity , even the IMPROV SUCKS , theres nothing like watching two wrestlers with actually heat shooting at each other , Thats why AEW is The receipt, For example watch Cm punk and MJF promo from last week , ABSOLUTELY GOLD REMINDS ME OF THE ATTITUDE ERA
It's cool that a couple of cases, the wrestlers became good friends. As Hogan used to refer to them, they really are brothers of a sort. A receipt of another sort was from Austin getting his terrible ring master name from Vince, then changing it to Stone Cold. Vince was calling his first match, and would refer to him as Stone Cold throughout the match, as if trying it out. Wrestling history was changed forever, and Austin became one of the biggest stars ever.
Austin’s “revenge” on Booker wasn’t just for being stiff, in the ring. It was due to Booker’s attack on Austin, the night Booker debuted. He broke Austin’s wrist (I think it was wrist..?), in the attack.
Any time you had a receipt coming from Ron Simmons, it was going to hurt, the one he gave Ahmed Johnson was a story I heard on an episode of the Steve Austin podcast, Mark Henry told the story
Stone Cold v Owen Hart wouldve been another one. After Stone Cold got his neck broken in 1997..on a episode of Raw like 1-2 weeks later, Stone Cold clocked Owen in the head with his Slammy Award, and Owen was bleeding
I honestly like the way Taker did it. He made Orton sweat about it without actually beating the then kid. Also Jake basically proved he was his character at least with Savage.
I always love slowing down when Shawn Michaels kicks Vince in the face 🤣 I have found many times where he connected with Vinny's chin to make that sweet, sweet chin music!
This is why i respect matt hardy so much!!! It came to his mind to literality hurt edge but he kept it professional he set aside his feeling's and just go with the flow of the story cause he really love his job so much!! Edge attained so much in WWE but at the end we all know Matt is the better man and bigger person.
CM PUNK TROLLING VINNIE MAC WHEN HE GOT ON THE RINGSIDE ANNOUNCE TABLE WITH J.R and The King And snatched the head set off and yelled WHAT A MANUVER !!! Knowing vinnie mac could hear him on the other side
Stevie Richards/JBL worked everybody. Richards recently said he was actually worried about hurting JBL with the chair shot since JBL is so much taller than him. JBL told him not to worry, he could take it. After the match, it's JBL that told Richards to say that it was revenge for the Meanie
so dupree got a ticket that holly wound up having to pay? the only warning he'd have gotten from me wouldve been "reimburse me for that ticket by the time we have our match"
the psychological ones gotta be worst then all these physical ones .. it's like when you're a kid and you do something wrong and you think you got an assbeating that never comes
It's wild how Booker T repeatedly shows how genuine of a person he is, and it's even crazier that he was a heel most of the time in WWE. Dude could've been the perfect face for the company between the Era of the Rock and Cena.
7:38 - Minor error in the transcribing of bookers comments. Booker says "I delivered the stiff shot first" whereas the transcription on screen read "I didn't live with the stiff shot first". Minor thing.
