Agreed i know I’ve been on the wrong side of the law but I’m trying to raise my kid to be respectful and thankful especially to those who serve and protect not only our country but our communities as well

Despite everything that is happening with the world, especially in regards to police brutality, people like this young little girl, recognizes that not all cops are bad cops. Please, don't rule out the fact that we still need the police to guide, help and protect us in the time of need...
Calling out the bad cops isn't saying that all cops are bad. It's saying that we hold them to a higher standard, and that we are depending on all of the good ones to step up and set the tone. This little girl gets it. She's being the change that she wants the world to become.

Take the "Black Lives Matter" movement... started and sponsored by empowered white males (I am a white male, btw). The Clinton supporters vs Trump supporters also. The media sensationalized all of this, keeping our "trigger fingers itchy" so to speak. We are all being distracted by one another while the national debt keeps growing and the world geo-politics game gets worse.
I’m officially retired next month after 28 years of policing. This kid is definitely an old soul. Only those of us who have worn the uniform and faced the dangers know what’s it’s like. To think this little girl has these feelings is unbelievable. Especially in a society where it feels these sentiments are evaporating. Great video!!
You can tell that her parents did a fantastic job, raising her know if it was just more people in the world like her she would be such a better place and thank you for your services to all the officers
When my grandson was in high school, I asked him what he wants to be when he grows up. He said he wants to be a Federal Officer. My grandson last month was sworn in and now he is a federal office. Yes, follow your dreams.
My 18-year boy has followed a very similar path than this young lady and will be a LEO and joining the Army reserves. I have tears of gratitude for this girl and for my boy.
Kids like this that are going to make the world a better place. I've been praying for the younger generations that they would rise up to do something great

In nearly 35 years of living in Maryland I've lived in 5 different counties but no matter where I go I make sure to personally thank law enforcement, they are the heroes that never ask for anything in return (much like our amazing military), but they are true heroes everyday, may God bless them all for all time!
I served in both, it was my pleasure to wear a police badge in the Air Force and again for my local sheriff's office!! As for me it was great doing what I did, I thank the support from those in the public!!

A police officer was killed yesterday in my city Houston, he was shot in the back of his head while putting gas on his patrol car. A senseless hate crime. This video made me teary, we appreciate our police officers and are grateful for putting there lives on the line. May God be with yall always.

My dad is a LAPD Sgt. he was in the marines and now is a cop for 15 yrs me and my 3 brothers (born the same year) we're counting on joining the force together bcs we have 1 year left of college untill we go we also count on making our children and granchildren to do the same thing my dad and his brother joined the force together they patrol together with a K-9 and i'm gonna do the same thing with ma bros

I’m a retired fire Chief who worked with police officers on a daily basis many are my good friends. What a great little girl with a big heart and words that are even bigger. I’m sitting here smiling and the tears are running down my face. More kids should be like this what a country we would have.
My dads a police officer and I was always bullied for that. He’s a good man :) They are really hero’s, for every bad police officer there a thousands of good ones. They matter and are worth it. They are brave and don’t give up, they suck it up and just want a good life for their children and others children.
@@bradley940: Most certainly is not, if that's being said out of family based reasons, well then she's actually telling the truth...I know that it may be hard to accept and believe at first especially since I was in your shoes too over at one point in time there Bradley when it comes to Negative Experiences with Officers, but I've never myself had any mean or negative Police Officers have myself encounter them before but only just the Nice and Friendly ones although except maybe on certain negative ones when it came to asking to get a picture with them...I've had Friendly Officers say yes before and some actually say that they'd rather not since they were more of a private person, not sure if it was based due to Department and Department Guidelines and Policy...But almost every Police Officer that I've actually Approached before in the recent years have actually said yes and didn't turn me down at all while there are even videos here up on RU-vid of Police Officers getting into a Heated Argument with other Uniformed Cops while on Duty and some Sheriffs were even arrested while serving in Uniform.!!! So also depending on how the department is trained, well that's also another thing plus their Job Description not being quite so Friendly as other Districts actually are.!!! We shall Thank Them.

Police life's matters too.. There are also heros of all country to maintain law and order.. And risking their life and even time with family to keep us safe from bad guys.. They live to serve and protect.. Their entire life to our people.. So treat them with love and respect.. It's sad that police didn't get much appreciation like people giving to Army.. Just like this little girl all first responders are my heroes including law enforcement and the reason I am saying this is because just like this little girl I stop and say a prayer for every first responder every single day. The reason I do that is because they do so much every single day to protect innocent people and I also come from a family of first responders so I know what it’s like to always worry about them. This little girl definitely made me cry because she reminds me of myself. Every time I see a first responder I thank them for all their hard work and for doing their job to protect innocent people and I will always do that until the day I die and that will never change.

Awww, I'm here watching and smiling like an idiot while another 20+ people around me are wondering what the crap has got me so happy. I first made friends with a police officer when I was in 5th grade [I was 8 and hence one of the tiniest kids in the school], he was teaching the DARE program [yeah this was ages ago and yes, I'm old], he usually went out of his way to make sure that I fit in and wasn't bullied and taken advantage of for being so small yet smart. Since then, I've always had a huge respect for law enforcement, military, etc. Quite a few of my closest friends are in the law enforcement/military right now and they know that if anything, I always tell them that "I don't care what time it is, what day it is, or wherever the crap I might be; you need me to talk to, to vent to, to tell you some cheesy joke at 2:30am because you're having a rough time, just CALL me, I'll listen, I'll talk to you. I don't care if I have to get up at 5am the next morning for my finals, you need me, I'm there. Most these people are all my unofficial brothers so I spend most nights awake and worrying about them, I'm just extremely thankful when they answer me every time that I bug them on Facebook or through text. [Yes, I'm THAT little sister who mothers all of them], but I'm happy to know that there are still kids who have good opinions of police officers =)
