Jess, I just completed my first ever visit to London in June 2023. Before that trip, I watched dozens of your videos to prepare for my trip, and I wish to thank you and your team for making all those extremely helpful and informative videos about London. I don’t think advertising the city to the World is a plus, the place is already overwhelmed by mass tourism which is very much a two edged sword.

London only has a problem with mass tourism in the super touristy areas which is why we are always telling people to AVOID them ! Don't hang around Leicester Square, Camden Market, the London Eye etc and it's much less crowded.

Your videos are great - so honest and providing true insights into life in London. I'm not surprised you still love London and see it as your long-term home. The whole Brexit thing was not good, but London is still a wonderfully diverse, culturally rich city with an amazing mix of history, stunning architecture - both old and new, endless opportunities, events and places to visit, all alongside a buzzing, lively vibe that is both captivating and invigorating. London is without doubt one of the greatest cities in the world.

"The whole Brexit thing was not good" Certainly NOT if you DON'T want to live in a country whose people are FREE to make their OWN laws, determine their OWN immigation and monetary policy, and chuck out their lawmakers when THEY deem it necessary (I believe it's called DEMOCRACY - not everyone's cup of tea, I know, certainly as far as Remainers are concerned). Of course if you PREFER to have YOUR laws decided for you by unelectable and unsackable BUREAUCRATS, fair enough. I still find that rather odd, however - and wonder why our recent ancestors ever BOTHERED to fight in WW2.! Myself - I'm a proud and grateful EUROPEAN, but hate the EU (even with all its 'benefits') - a post-War project of the Anglo-American Elite (with Germany chosen as the Head Boy) whose (Globalist) agenda involves the slow destruction of the sovereign nation state. Sadly, too many folk still believe in the propaganda, whilst being resolutely ignorant of the background facts - even when only a mouse-click away. Oh, and it's not just about MONEY: there are _other_ things in life that matter RATHER more - IMHO: such as Willing Co-operation between neighbours, as opposed to Unquestionable Compulsion from above.

Congratulations on 10 years in London, it's clear this has been a journey for you with everything that has happened and now COVID is well behind us, I am pleased you have a successful business. Collaborating with Londoners is a great idea, to get a feel about the cultural side of the City and let outsiders know that Central London is only a small part of this great city. There is tons of stuff to do and explore in different suburbs. It's also a big sporting hub, with several big Premier League teams playing every week of the season. My team Arsenal is touring the US right now, and I am surprised that there are soo many Arsenal fans out there. Doing something in and around the Emirates Stadium on a matchday would be a winner for your American audience who clearly love our sports.

That takes a lot of guts to make a big change like that and honestly, it seems like it's paying off. Takes time to nature something and let it grow into fruition. I love that tenacity and to be honest, if I was in London, I would love to get a chance to get the tour of London! It's been so long since I visited but I think it's about time to make that trip happen. Might be time to consider transitioning from American Healthcare to the NHS instead. No one deserves success more than you ! I started watching you after a recommendation in 2022 from “ pilot wife” ( TX ) after asking a London question - I still use mainly your stuff every spring when planning ! Probably because I love London so much and visited it many many times, so I had to click the first one. (About the Tube). I also saw a part of your 8 year video. And If I compare the beginning of that video with this one, you have done well Jess. And I do not mean financially, but as a human being. I praise you for that and just wanted to say that. You have a new subscriber. Oh and btw, who knows Brexit will be turned back. I personaly as a Dutchman like to have the UK back.

It's actually really interesting to hear you talk about the accent situation while your staying here and how past a certain age it doesn't change. For example I was born here in the u.k but when I was a very young kid we moved to America for about 2 and a half years. Since children pick up accents super fast that's exactly what happened to me and now even as a 29 year old who's back in the u.k I still always get the "you sound like a yank mate." Or "you have a transatlantic accent." To my ear I think I have a perfectly normal British accent but to everyone else they immediately ask whether I recently came from the u.s. As to your views on the monarchy....it's a dated tradition/system that should faid into the history books. Glad your still enjoying the u.k 🙂

Now she tells me...seriously, we enjoyed our 30 hour or so trip to London on 4-5 July during our Paris family trip and if we had bumped into you, I would have definitely would have bought you a pint. I guess it will be for the next trip. Congrats on your 10 years in London! Putting my transit photos from London on my Flickr gallery now, only missing Stagecoach for London Buses, London Underground and Uber Boats, then it's all I the ones I took in and around Paris, which would count for about 1,100 of the 3,483 photos I took during those two weeks. Moved to London 30 years ago, in retrospect I think the year of the Olympics in 2012 was a high point for the city. The combination of lockdowns, brexit and a disastrous Mayor has severely damaged the city without a doubt but probably it will recover in time. Overall I’ve had a great life in this incredible city and current problems aside, I’ve no regrets whatsoever.
