From humble beginnings, ProDoula is more than just a training and certification organization for birth workers. We are a community of professionals who identify as caregivers and educators dedicated to providing unwavering, evidence-based support to expectant families during pregnancy and birth as well as families coming home with newborns.
Our story begins with an acknowledgement of the gaps in support for parents as well as doulas themselves. We embarked on a mission to support doulas as they support their clients in an effort to elevate the role to a professional level. We are proud to say… We have succeeded!
It is now 10 years later and we are excited that as our business flourished, so did the reach of doulas. Our global membership of thousands of birth professionals is supporting and educating families around the world in an effort to leave birth and parenting better than we found it! Our journey does not end here, but stopping to smell the roses is part of what keeps us going!
