Rob Appell thank you for this. I am one of those who have need to hear this. It's 6:16am Saturday 26th February. A morning that I planned not to see. I after about 14 years of being drug and alcohol free during which time I started quilting as my form of therapy. (Came across you making I think a skateboard quilt with Jenny Doan about 8 years ago and watched you since). The past 11 months I fell of the wagon and started doing drugs again. As I said I never planned to see today but as I've subscribed to your tutorials my phone woke me to say you had a new video (this one) for me to view. You have given me the courage to get clean stay clean and sober and to get back to quilting. You've said you spend time in your Bible and doing relaxing things first thing each day. I reckon for me I will be getting right with Christ again and reading my own Bible will be the first thing I do today and dig out my dusty sewing machine and quilt again. I think Jesus planned for this to happen for me today. I usually get notice of your videos due to our differing times my living in Runcorn UK 6 - 8 hours after you've posted them but it's over 24 hours. I came across you when you and Jenny Doan were doing a skateboard quilt. And followed you ever since. I saw something I liked about your tutorials and how you seemed as a person. I now think that what I saw is Christ, now. I had no reason to think of you as a Christian but I have always been intrigued that there was atleast 1 man who quilted and your goofing around makes your tutorials fun. Sincere congratulations on your 10 year coin. You shared your journey with us in the RGV in Texas several years ago. You couldn't have known, but one of my good friends in the class had over 30 years of sobriety and she's grateful for every day. I appreciate you sharing your life with this audience. As I said in the class probably many of us had been touched by addiction, either personally or with a loved one.

congratulations Rob, Alcoholism runs rampant in our family. I have a wonderful nephew who quit alcohol after hitting his personal rock bottom, many years ago. I am so proud of him, as he is an interpreter for the deaf and uses that to encourage others to stay sober. He is awesome and you are awesome. Stay sober my friend.
