Boolet comes from Québec in the city of st-Tite. It is the biggest cowboys boots company in canada the oldest north americain cowboy boots company to still be owned by the family. Boolet used to make military boots during the second World war. Boulet is a miracle there is not a single ranch in st-Tite, but people come from all over north America to the western festival and if you go there you might see that even the school principal has cowboy boots. Boulet is truly a national treasure!
Boulet boots were my first pair of boots as well. They never let you down but it is a shame that they don’t promote their boots more. It would be awesome to see them expand their exotics beyond just the ostrich. Boulet makes a darn good boot but not near enough people know what they have to offer especially if you are looking for a well built non-Exotic pair of boots.
Love my three pairs of Boulets. Great value and comfort and durability. Thanks for taking. I agree with other commenters that they just don't do a great job promoting their products, making them hard to find. But love them!
As a Quebecer, my first pair of cowboy boots has been Boulet and I still wear them 10 years after. I agree with all you said. Especially their marketing. They really should upgrade their website and improve the French version. Which is appalling for a company settled in Saint-Tite, Québec! Another thing I don't like about Boulet right now is that they have less and less traditional models (cowboy or medium toes with cowboy heels). It's all about wide square toes and flat heels that I don't like. I'm getting interested by Tecovas boots. Unfortunately, they don't ship in Canada... My favorite US brand is Lucchese, but they are getting very costy (over 400$ without lemonwood pegs or any pegging?!?). What is the quality of Dan Post? I like their models and their prices seem reasonable.
I had no idea they were slacking on the French version of their site! Dan Posts have been hit or miss. Leather stacked heels are a must from them and sometimes their soft strike insole can be fragile. The black soft strike is nice though
They recently updated their website so quebecers can buy online like Americans but the selection is very limited. I agree with you on their lack of traditional styles. I gotta say their factory is ancient as hell so their online presence being limited isn’t surprising. They are very old school. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4i8Vk3oOj4g.html
@@JeremiahCraig just to say also. My little toe shows on the side of my boots also. So your review is right on for fit. But my boots still feel like your putting on a really good pr of gloves
Love your passion for the boots... just picked up a pair the other day, and I haven't had a pair of boots for 25 years.... well cowboy boots that is.... Big fan of Asolo Hiking boots and Muck boots for work. But back to Boulet boots, I literally was blown away by the fit and finish of these. Went to a shoe repair shop in Jerome Idaho. It's a legit old school cowboy leather store... went in to buy a belt which they size and punch the holes in right there... kinda cool. I got looking at the boots on shelves. Then I asked him what he recommend and he had me pull my shoes off (Brooks) and he looked at my feet made a guess which was right and went and asked what I thought of square toed boots and I said "I like them the best". So he went and grabbed the boots and then he asked if I was right handed or left, he said the foot opposite of your dominate hand is your larger foot. And I put on the left boot and it fit like an absolute glove. Yes there will be some slight break in but the light pressure was completely around my foot equally. Felt like these were made for my feet... Very impressed. I said I would like to buy these off of you and he said, "I'd like to sell them to you!" lol I ended up with model 2722 and I looked it up and it doesn't appear on the Boulet website so it must be a discontinued style. But retailers still have them online from what I could see.... I went with 3E and paid 366.00 Absolutely love them!!
Have had my Boulet black boots like yours for about 8 yrs still look like brand new. Keep them in the box when not wearing them and stuff them with paper to keep the shaft from falling and my shaft hasn't dropped at all or much keep your boots in there box when not wearing them to keep them looking great. Just a pointer on keeping your shaft from falling . Have watched your videos for a long time like your reviews. Love my Boulet boots and they where my 1st pair of boots also
Haha, yeah every time im at the gas station I make sure the nozzle never is over my boots for that exact reason. Oh yeah, not surprised that a great quality boot company comes out of Canada with their big cowboy scene in some of their provinces. One brand that has got me more excited as of late is Chisos, they have been releasing some really slick looking boots.
Went into the store today looking to get a pair of Anderson Beans and saw my new pair of Boulet boots next to them and slipped them on just to know what they felt like and I couldn't take them off. So glad I have heard so highly of this brand from you or I don't think I would have given them a second look. Fit is by far the best in my collection, I can't wait for them to break in.
Hey Jeremiah. I have a pair of 9502's, Yep Black, same as yours in the video.I bought them new for about $89 Cdn back in June of '95. I bought them because they fit like a glove, and they were black all around. I wore them for about a year, and then they sat..... for 25 yrs. 14 years of riding Motorcycles and not being able to find a decent pair of riding boots, I dusted off my Boulets and took them down to the cobblers in May of '22 and for $167 bucks, he took off the leather sole cap and heel cap and put on the Vibram Lug sole and heel on each of them. So now my 9502s have a new life of being Motorcycle boots. I treat them with Dubin when I remember, to keep them water proof. What I would like to see is Boulet make a square toed MC boot with the same Vibram lug sole, and that same snug fit. And yes, I am wearing them as I type this message.
Bought my first pair last week for myself for my birthday, they fit well, but I haven’t worn them out yet. I’m a diehard Nocona’s fan. I believe the model number is 1828. I emailed them and asked them if they could re-manufacture a pair of the model number 3000 for me but they said they no longer have the material. I was very satisfied with that answer and very satisfied with their quick response to my email. Enjoying your videos.
My first pair of boulet boots were bull hide with rubber soles. Had them for three years, until my puppy chewed them up. I then got some real nice dress boots from boulet with leather soles and was so disappointed because the soles came apart within the 1st month.
I know you’ve done Anderson Bean, and Olathe, but within a 10 mile radius we have Morans, and Mandujanos boots. Morans does custom boots with a lot options, Mandujano does custom boots for normal customers, and a lot for law enforcement.
Im glad you explained the sizing difference. I wear 4Es, and Boulet was the only offerings in 3Es in Motorcycle Boots. That's how I found out about the brand. When they came in, I was trying to figure out why are they so tight? AKA 2E! Since I spent $200, I wore them till they stretched.
I've got a pair of Boulet boots that I've had since 2005. They finally gave up on the outside toe. For the first 7 years I wore them 365. 5 resoles, two of them down to my sock... I think the crack that went all the way through the leather was aided by gasoline too.
I got some Justin boots had for years and they’ve held up I use em 2 do yard work in and the only problem I got with em is the sole on the bottom got a big cut in em where I stepped on a pulley on a lawnmower deck when it was engaged
I just bout a paire of boulet caimam 8502 and they are my first exotic and wow i feel good in this boot i feel like i have a unique style sorry for the bad orthographe im frome quebec canada french city. Great videos man would love to see more of your favorit brand boulet :)
Great video and boots Jeremiah! I think it’d be real cool if you made this like a series and maybe did brand overviews on all the different cowboy boot brands just like you did in this video. Just a thought but I’d find it very interesting.
The best part is that boulet boots run half a size larger than the size you select, so I checked my feet and they might be an 11 3E, so if I choose that, they might fit better than the cheap smokey mountain
I love my Boulet (have 4 pairs) - given the time of this writing (2021) my experience with their Customer Service has been excellent (a little slow but to my satisfaction). Case in point, I recently had to return/exchange a pair of boots - I contacted them via e-mail (here is the slow part - e-mails are not responded to immediately it took a day for them to respond) and they were able to walk me through their exchange process, set up the RMA and enter a new order to complete the exchange (unfortunately, the boots I wanted in exchange were not in stock and took about 4 weeks to ship).
I have many pairs of boots and 2 Boulet, and every time I put the Boulet on , I say to myself why don't I wear them more often. If I had to stick to one this is the one.
I just prefer that my boots are made in North American. Boots made in Mexico have been some of my best. I’m thinking about getting into boulet boots at some point.
I have two pairs of Boulet boots model 7031 and 7032. My wife brought them to the cobbler to have them resoled. It was our first time using this guy because our old guy closed shop. The guy asks my wife if she wants them "waterproofed" she thought that would be a good idea so she said sure. When she picked them up she was mortified. Waterproofing means a rubber sole which is totally defeating the purpose of these beautiful dress boots. I tried them on and the guy pulled them so tight I couldn't wear them so I tossed them in the closet where they've sat for the last 5 or 6 years. I've been thinking of trying to find another guy to redo these but it seems almost impossible to find the right cobbler in the area of the state that I live in. To make matters worse, Boulet discontinued these boots. Why, I have no idea. They are the one of the best looking and wearing boots they made. Looks like I have my work cut out for me.
I found a pair of boulet boots and I didn’t find any in my size they where in 12 D, 12 1/2 eee, 13 EE, 14 D. Odd but good for the others to wear in that size....
I just got a pair today, very first cowboy boots. I guess I was kinda lucky in my choice. I went to an old mom n pop old timers western store and I'm glad I did. These are super comfy so far!
Hey Jeremiah...you've given me some good advice in the comments so thank you. Just got my first pair of Boulets and love them. 9506's. But I have a question. If you are a size 12 D how on earth do you fit into 10.5's? Is it the larger width in the 10.5's? Keep up the great work!
@@JeremiahCraig Ok. But that's a size and a half drop in length. Maybe I'm too much of a newbie to grasp the proportional stuff. I don't understand how the width would affect the length or the actual shoe size. I'm a 10 EEE...could I fit into a 9 length in Boulet boots?
Hey Jeremiah, how does the sizing for Boulets differ from Ariat? I want to order some Boulets but I don't know what size to order and there isn't any boot stores nearby that carry Boulets. I wear a size 9D in my Ariat Heritage Ropers, Thanks
Salut jeraimah craig j adore tes bottes de cowboys boulet, moi j en n'est une paire de boulet boots 1867 , j'adore tes vidéos. Et mes botte de cowboy préféré c'est la marque boulet boots
To add to your point about their marketing: their website is very binary, their models have no names just product numbers, and it's tough to search by style or material. I am totally blind, so if I'm looking online I rely heavily on product descriptions to help paint pictures of what I'm looking at, and potentially putting my money on. I'm also Canadian, and would love to support a local bootmaker like Boulet. Jeremiah, would you consider making a video about Boulet numbering designations, Or is there not really any logic to their model numbers. Nevertheless, thanks for the hard work you put into making videos, I know it takes a lot of prep to do so.
I haven’t finished the video before writing this, but if the end song isn’t ABBA - Voulez Vous only singing Boulet Boots instead I will be disappointed.
I bought my first pair of Boulet's a month ago. Ready to buy number two (womens). I wear cowboy boots casually and for dancing and am having trouble figure out how to differentiate "dress" boots vs. a more casual boot on their site. I know I'm here two years later but for obvious reasons it is hard to find the info I need. Your black pair reminds me of the one I got my eyes on.. ladies #4074
This company is so slack. I’ve asked them via email about the type of leather used on the vamp. They refused to respond. I ordered a pair for a family member and it takes 8 weeks. I emailed them asking them for an update on the order. They refused to reply. Don’t waste your money with theses Canadian slackers. They have shown they do not care about the customer.
Boulet's Poor Customer Service Does Not Surprise Me At All.. I Have Live In Quebec For Fifty ( 50 ) Years Yes, I Can Speak French, But Still Poor Customer Service.... . I Plan On Moving Back Home To West Texas As Soon As I Can.. That Is The Way It Is In Quebec, And Europe Poor Customer Service.... English Canada, And The United States Are In Regards To Customer Service On The Same Page. Quebec Wants To Be On The Same Page With Europe, Not North America.. Did You Know Quebec Has Got A Western Rodeo As Well Does Calgary,, Alberta? The Bottom Line Is Quebec When It Comes To Business Is Extremely Back Ward. As Long As Quebec Gets Its Welfare Cheque They Are Happy.. This Is Why Alberta Has Got "WEXIT." Just Like Texas Has Got "TEXIT."
It’s just a matter of time before Alberta goes bankrupt like Newfoundland. Another 10 years and unemployment will be over 10%. The good old times are over!!!
