I picked up a 2002 Foreman 450 for free two weeks ago. New battery, seat recovered, new front brakes and a repaired base gasket on the jug. Runs and drives like a champ now. I have right at $300 in the whole machine.
bad starter solenoid, jumping with screw driver , you are bypassing the starter solenoid. trunk, white plastic part normally holds the onwers manual under it.
Aint nothing you can't fix with a grinder in a welder. I use mine to snow plow parking lots and drive ways in Northern Ontario and it did break in half. Between the rust and stress from the plow. Found a good used1 and the old 1 for parts. Keep the oils changed and they will run a long long time.
Great deal I just got 1 aswell would you believe 100 g.b.p I could not believe it either .. few new parts wheel alignment to do next starts runs first time drives perfect never get a deal like that again best ever 🎉
Lmao, I've seen people spend 1k-3k on first-generation rubicons with the plastics off and motor apart. My 450s is probably the most reliable quad on earth right now.
100 bucks..you stole it !..lol. ditch the frame, not worth the time or hassle to weld on it. you can find used frames fairly cheap from power sports nation. looking at the throttle side, this can be anywhere from '98 to '01 model. in '02, honda made these models with electronic front diff to swap from 2wd to 4wd. these were from '02 to '04, '04 was the last year honda made them here in usa.
had a 450 a couple years ago. good machine but weak frames. honda makes great engines but there frames have always needed improvement. even the atcs have cheap frames. they rust bad up here in canada especially on the east coast and if you ride em hard when they are rusted your gonna be putting gussets in and welding frame cracks constantly unless you like riding a cockeyed bike. they started to figure it out on the second gen 350 ranchers (same frame just better metal), and the first gen 420 ranchers ive only seen a few frames need to be replaced since the 07 line up came out.
I can beat you on a cheap deal. I got a 300cc BigRed for free but as it came free it's covered in rust, holes to the body frame, hard to start, idling super high. Basically it's my project bike to learn on and learn how to ride
@@flipitgarage9653 10-15 hrs to swap over ?..how many beers are you having during this time ??..lmao. i can do a full swap in about 4 hrs, start to finish. i guess you need to step yer game up if its taking you 10-15 hrs to swap over all parts.
Well I have 2 and truly yet to drive either of them while everything works. But I'll tell ya now the motors are beats , start first hit on every honda I have owned
