Yea I’ve heard some of the rom sets will remove the part or some of the audio to lower how much data the games take up. I just got an m17 and when playing tomb raider 1. The regular audio through out the game plays but any video has no audio
The reason the music is missing in the PS1 games is they’re using the image versions with it all removed. For most PS1 games, most of the space taken up is for media files and not actual game data. A lot more games will fit without the media.
Thanks for the review, MichaelB! Looks like this is currently $30 off with a clickable coupon bringing it down under $100 US. So if anyone is interested be sure to safe yourself a few bucks!
Alot of these systems have no music in playstation emulator, they remove the audio files to reduce storage usage. You would have way less games if they included the cd audio.
Protip, Open it up and add some $2 heatsinks (packet 10) to each of the RAM chips, then take out the fan screws, rotate the top of the case 180 degrees and move the fan across under the ventilation slots to only two screws so its actually sucking in fresh air, downside is all ports usb hmdi etc will now be on the front of the console but it will stay constantly cool on high loading psp or n64 games for long play After moving the fan you can actually feel air running out of the bottom air vents
Frequently things like this will intentionally remove the music from Playstation games to save space for more games. The music was cd audio tracks. You should be able to replace the roms, but that's not why people buy these.
Just bought one 3 days ago Nes and Snes work fine. Anything above 16bit gets distorted and pixelated. Basically unplayable. I don’t know if it’s my tv, the system or what.
I've had this for a couple of months and the input lag is HORRIBLE for us. I even use those 8bitdo SNES type controllers. I did see where you can change the TV input setting to something like "game" or something like that, and my TV doesn't have that. Did you run the software update? The interface gets better when you do. I like the system, though, just wish it would work properly for me.
Jeez man sorry you are having that kind of experience. If i couldn't get through the lasers on Quick man's stage i would agree with you but I can which tells me the input delay from emulation is fairly good. Not sure what's happening with your set up. Lol i really should have done the update before reviewing this
@@MichaelBtheGameGenie - If I can find one of my TV's that has the game option for the HDMI input it will probably fix it. Like I said, I really like the system, just need the input to keep up. And apparently if you boot it without the SD card, it's a TV streaming box, hence the remote. Nice little bonus.
