it’s because he’s a student of the game and he never gets the chance in press conferences to talk about things like this. he enjoys talking about the players and dynamics of teams, but never given the chance
AND Most Importantly, Bill Belichick's Knowledge And His Extraordinary Famdom Of The Game. You've Gotta Love That. He Wasnt Withdrawn Whatsoever, But In Contrast Expresses A Dedicated Emotion.
@@abdihassan7208 bc they played in 3-4 (4 backers, 3 lineman) schemes instead of 4-3. In 3-4 the outside linebackers are mainly pass but one may still drop to cover flats depending on the call., and the other 2 linebackers control the coverage behind whatever rush they bring
That LT story Belichick told about him being late to the team meeting is absolute gold and LT just saying “that’s my boy” about parcells is just the icing on the cake 😂
John Greco nah he was big for the average human but in football he’s small for his position and for the game in general, most NFL Lineman are 6’5 and above and weigh like 325+ Ponuds
Dude loves football, he just knows how stupid it is to reveal anything about your plans or what you think about the people currently in the game. Getting to talk football history has always been when he lets himself go.
@@keenanmccarty9925 when he retires, I hope he commentates for a little while. I think we’d be so lucky to have that. He’s very closed off in New England and I understand that but he has a wealth of information that I think would make people appreciate nfl history.
Because he was the GOAT. LT was another level to Ray Lewis, another level to Aaron Donald. When you watch the footage of him playing run defense or pass defense he looked like a lion hunting its prey, its hard to describe the speed and intensity of pursuit until you see it on film.
@@2011hwalkerWitness the fact that to this day, EVERY NFL defensive coach, scout, GM, or personnel guy is looking for an LT for their defense. Only problem is LT is a 1 of 1. And I say this as a Cowboys fan. LT has and will always have my utmost respect.
Junior Seau was the reason I started watching football as a kid. Representing us Island boys to the fullest. One thing he did not get enough recognition for his pass rush. Junior could have been at least a top 10 pass rusher if they gave him more chances. Rest in Paradise #55forever
Bellichik is a real football history mind. You can tell he enjoys talking about the players from the past and the how the game has evolved. I think he is a good guy at heart, but is just an intense coach who has to do what it takes to win with the players he has. I'm not a Pat's fan at all not a big Billichik fan, but I do like hearing him explain the game and evaluate players from the distant past to the present.
I was thinking, “Will he say, the meanest? The dirtiest?” Damn Ray. They cut out some of his part. There’s a few cuts that go straight to Belechik, or cut them off mid thought.
Man Belichick is just like football Google. Coached Brady, LT, Gronk. Prepared against Montana, Rice, Deion, Ed Reed, Ray Lewis, Manning. Was mentored by slinging Sammy and Roger Staubach
Jack Ham is UNBELIEVABLY underrated' and thats with being on all the greatest ever lists and a Hall of Famer. All those accolades yet hes STILL underrated. The style he played in the 70s, is comparable to how outside backs play today....
LT is one of the best 3-4 players of *all time* , forgot position or defense/offense. He is streets ahead of any linebacker who every played. He flew around like no defensive player who has ever stepped on the field. Freak athlete, incredible instincts, remarkable tackling fundamentals and a tolerance for pain that was legendary.
Thanks for that. I am very critical of LT because of his disappearing acts in games that I feel he could have been more effective in. Of course now I know why. But yes he may have been the greatest 3-4 linebacker ever at one time.
Miller Mayhem I can respect your opinion. To be honest I could spend hours watching highlights of all three. It’s just thinking back on what DT would have accomplished if he didn’t leave this world in his prime. To be honest DT LT RL there really is no wrong answer IMO.
Lawrence Taylor is the best football player I’ve ever seen. I’m 52 years old so I’ve seen a good amount of them. I’m also a Cowboys fan so I still remember the fear we would have facing him. He was like a damn terrorist. You didn’t know when or where, but he was going to absolutely wreck something when you played him. Jerry Rice might be the greatest offensive player imo, but if I could pick any player from any position in any era, I’m taking LT all day and twice on Sunday.
When I saw Lawrence Taylor’s highlights I saw him catch Barry Sanders and Walter Payton And Walter Payton is untackleable. So he’s More than more than more than G.O.A.T.E.D
Gotta love LT. What a legend. I'm a Raiders fan, but LT is my favorite player. I don't care what he used to do on his free time, that's nobody's business but him. LT is awesome, great guy, a true legend. Thank you LT, I can't get enough of his highlights or full games, it's so good. There is only one LT and he is the GOAT.
It’s funny that you said there’s only one LT because I can’t help but also think of LaDainian Tomlinson when someone says those initials. He was one of the greatest running backs ever
For me, Sweetness is the greatest player of all time and no one comes close… except for Lawrence Taylor. He’s a very easy 2nd for me and I debate back and forth between them as far as the greatest ever.
If Belichick doesn’t have his own syndicated show after he retires then there’s a glitch in the Matrix. There’s a reason everyone calls him Coach. His stories and knowledge of everything football is insane.
Best linebacker in NFL history Lawrence Taylor New York Giants from 1981 through 1993 era what's could imagine Ray Lewis play for the Cleveland Browns 1996 NFL draft we'll see find out
I could watch those reverse angles of LT coming around the corner on the blind side while the QB is scanning down field looking for a receiver with no idea that the train is coming and they are standing on the tracks, if only I could see the look on their face when LT leveled them.

Bill belichick doing this made me appreciate him more. Such a multitude of experience and knowledge. You only really get one aspect of him when you see him in press conferences and this series did well to shine a light on him.
I got to meet Lawrence Taylor this past and when I say I was nervous boy was I told him it was an honor to meet the greatest linebacker of all-time he said Damn right ✅
Atlas302 Yessir, can’t forget about Rolle, Taylor (RIP), and Hester as well! You gotta love being a fan of the U, knowing that you can talk the all-time greats that came out of the U, and dominated the NFL. I would’ve LOVE to see Sean Taylor tear up on the Eagles or Cowboys some more, definitely would’ve been Hall of Fame material.
@@Tyy63122 maaaaan his resume would've been CRAAAAAAAAZY!! I mean I'm talking about in my estimation of at least a 10 year career bare minimum 5x pro bowler, 2x defensive POY, all pro least 5x, 3 to 5x league tackler and probly a few other things I'm forgetting. Dude could've ended in the HOF no ? about that. His death hit me hard and that's coming from a Giants fan since forever.
Seeing Ray "The Landshark" Lewis get nostalgic about watching LT as a kid is so wholesome. It just goes to show that we were all that kid idolizing somebody back in the day.
Lewis was awesome. A great team leader and a fantastic player. LT was just another level. If I knew that LT was going to be hooked up to life support, I would still plan around him.
Ray Lewis was a great great LB! Lawrence Taylor was almost a mythical figure! If you have never seen much of the original LT, you have to watch that film. Incredible!!
Ray Lewis was one of the last of a dying breed of NFL player, a player who suited up in the last era before the league became one big yellow hankie party. The “defenseless receiver” rule was just coming into focus toward the tail end of his career.
Man seeing footage of Football camp just brings back memories of highschool ball. The smells, the sounds, the way the helmet slides off when your drenched in sweat. It isn't even the games that I miss its the practices and camps. Good times!
@@logan-dm5zp Kiss my ass. I'll say it again, Lambert and Lewis both have very comparable resumes. Lewis's biggest edge is that he played for more seasons (17 to 11). Lambert's accolades per season played is actually much higher
Chuck was an incredible linebacker, but he was also an all world center. He never left the field!! Imagine how good he could've been on defense if he only played one way. A true warrior.
Ive always wondered me why mike singletary was not voted to the 100th anniversary team for linebacker and I’m definitely not knocking anyone on this list, they are all very deserving. 10x pro bowl 8x all pro 2x DPOY 1980s all decade team 1x SB Champ
Coach has shown another side to his personality. When it is time for business, it is time to work, but when it is time to have fun and relax it seems he can do that. I know people in my life who were difficult to work with because of their intensity, but when you spent time off work or see them with their families they become another person. It is refreshing to see.
@@Patrick-tt3ig No. Reed was always a free safety he would just end up where the strong safety was supposed to be and pick of passes the strong safety would've been able to pick off if he was 10% as competent as Ed Reed was lol
Tell me why I'm wrong..... Luke Kuechly needs to be a late addition. He's been the best linebacker since Ray retired. He's walked away from the game earlier than a lot of players but his career stats and impact are on a level with the players discussed in this video.
I could listen to Ray Lewis talk football forever. I'm Not even the closest thing to a Ravens fan but they had a lot of great players , Ray being one of them.
