@@hasindukumara5358 thanks!, The cube was hand animated (rotation keyframes), and the controllers were just parented to the centers in the right position
Honored to be in Top 100! Mines here 9:12. First personal project I've done in a while because I have been stuck in a creative rut. So thank Bad Normals for putting this all together.
@@workromworkrom2853 thank you! Nothing to special on my end. Using Sky Texture node Nishita. Playing with settings and position. Also adding in area and point lights to light subject and interest. Glow mode in comp really helps as well.
exactly, so amazing that some people can create such storytelling with just 5 seconds, and then some high production series/films aren't worth a single second of them
Wow I can't believe mine almost got into top 10, thanks for such a wonderful render challenge! I absolutely loved the fact that you guys were picking the winners during the livestream and that you really listened to people in the chat 💙 My submission is the space one at 5:32 if you want to see it
Top 50 at 3:30. Thank you so much for this opportunity, you no idea idea how much I was smiling to see my favorite 3D artist viewing my work. Really happy I submitted to my first 3D rendering challenge, and I'll certainly catch you in the next one! Some day I'll be on the same panel as you guys :)
Although my work didn't make it to this Top 100, I was still glad to participate & I congratulate winners of this challenge. From this collection I like the most 06:44 (Mattew Revee). Snowy mountains match so beautifully with red cube. Looks bewitching.
0:16, This is mine! :D Although actually, I forgot to update the name from 3D-Man to CG-Man on Google Drive zip file's name before, but it doesn't matter. :)
My animation didn't make it to Top 100 but no regrets at all. I had lots of fun making it and will participate in the next challenge too. Also, congrats to winners and everyone else that was part of this. Great animations!
I really love these render challenge things because of how imaginative they are. It's like getting a glimpse of thousands of alternate worlds, every one is so detailed and I'm always wanting to see more.
You couldn't have worded it better!! It is so wonderful to see how the exact same object can be interpreted in different ways. Such collaborations are my favorite content to watch!
Just by watching these videos keeps me full with creativity something i used to struggle with, it has been super helpful! I also watch these videos outside of my own research simply to relax or simply enjoy some of the work, there's always something amazing to admire ❤️🩹✨️
These are some amazing entries!Great job and my compliments to all competitors! And also props to you Bad Normals for creating such a succesful Blender competition!
4:27 here's mine haha feels good seeing my lil render amongst these wonderful creations, ngl I am glad this contest happened, I think Maybe if I had more time for mine rather than just 5 days it would turn out more better, but nonetheless thanks.
@@hasindukumara5358 oh that's a Brachiosaurus, I kinda put it into the render for paying homage to the first jurrasic park movie cuz that is one of the first dinosaurs that appears in the movie.
@@abhishekrawat7610 Thanks you so much man means allot, and about learning I would suggest starting off with the donut series and then the ankle series, and make sure to practice allot and work on your own projects and it would take time but slowly you will get very good, just keep practicing
Awesome to see my render first in the video:D The crab at 3:16 is my favorite. Everything about it is great, the style matching between objects, the animation, the rock is WET
1:15 idk why but this IS adventure time. i know ive been watching that thing from start to end, thank you for allowing me to relive these amazing moments for a few seconds, Andre Chuang.
This is so inspiring to see how creative people can be with just the default cube, maybe I should try out some challenges, I get so overwhelmed when I start a project with the infinite options
I appreciate those compilations. None is better and none is worse, every single one is different, unique, evoking different emotions. So many emotions in such a small space.
Everyone did such a wonderful job I am blown away by how many ways this can be done. My favorites include: 2:54 3:15 6:28 and my absolute favorite is 7:01 The little cardboard people were so cute.
If I saw that on a first day of a beginner's workshop, I wouldn't be inspired; I'd be more like "what's the point when there's so much talent out there?"
@@gogyoo How interesting, I wonder what that is about? I don't think that is a common reaction - most people are like me and get excited by seeing what is possible, especially beginners, but I'll ask my students; let's see what they say. Thank you for sharing your perspective.
@@gogyoo They loved the video and said it was motivating, but we had a small turnout last night so our sample size was low, not conclusive. I would say though that it is not right for you or anyone to judge how you feel about something; feelings are always valid, and I appreciated hearing them. I recently saw a couple excited videos on the state of the art of AI and the imminent inundation of robots replacing human activities and found it all similarly demotivating. Anyway, I recognize that my assumptions are often wrong and try to accommodate other people's preferences whenever I can, thank you for raising my awareness.
Blender has such an amazing community of creative and super talented people. It changed the whole 3D artists community in such a healthy way. Always happy to see 3D Artists working together on so small yet big things. Thank you for this video.
I can't even explain how, but this video manages to move me: maybe it's the music, the beauty of these renders, the stories I imagine behind each one of them, the understanding of how much time these people have dedicated to creating these wonders, or a combination of all these factors, but watching these beautiful masterpieces truly moves me and now the only thing I want to do is to hop on my chair and start working on somthing new.
It was great fun watching most of the live stream yesterday. You guys did a great job working with the limited capabilities of RU-vid and ironing things out as you went. I hope you do another exhibition/contest cast soon. Right now I am enjoying watching the entries at .25 speed. The music is nice at regular speed but like all videos, at .25 speed it sounds pretty bad. I was just thinking maybe there could be a loop that sounds alright at .25 speed and good at full speed. Also, a time index in the description for each submission with links to the artists' channel would be nice.
Idk why, but watching these makes me feel sad and nostalgic, like there are so many worlds in the universe, all of them vastly different, but we’re just one of them. We haven’t even fully explored our own world and there’s so much that we don’t fully know. So many guesses and theories, all of which have the possibility of being true. It’s like feeling alone even when there are so many people aren’t you.
