@@RK3249 what took the mood away for me was being teleported here without my horse after putting the squirrel statue up in beecher's hope, trying to whistle for it, and john getting pissed off at his horse in front of his friend's grave that he had already seen, but didn't mark on his map or write in his journal about that and the 100% grind for this game being so worthlessly mundane and lifeless that it made me want to pull my toenails out with my teeth no game is perfect, though
Man I just played RDR2 for the first time and one of the end scenes where Arthur is riding to Dutch with the music and the voice is like “You’re a good man Arthur”, That scene took me out 😢
i don't have OCD. but my definition of "completing" this game requires every single little thing to be complete, down to the detail of collecting every "special hat" and even fully white bar'ing all compendium items including weapon familiarity and horses. i have not dared touch this game until MAYBE summer break rolls around. it takes my attention for entire days at a time.
It took me a full real life year to do this and I remember just sitting there crying because it was so hard and took forever and I was just happy they rewarded you with this. Amazing job getting there, its worth it.
I just finally did this the other day too! I was shocked exactly this happened and Unshaken played again. I left Arthur’s grave for last because it just seemed right but I didn’t know this would happen. What if you don’t leave this for last? It happens if you go again? Does it teleport you there?
I think it plays the same cutscene and teleports you to Arthur's grave. But yeah it definitely felt right to find Arthur's grave to end the 100% playthrough.
On my second playthrough now and am at 98%, just need to finish the legendary fish and fill the compendium... some of the challenges are just ridiculously tedious. The herbalist 9 challenge for instance, game literally tells you to use your compendium to track which plants you need when in reality the only way that would work is if you started the Herbalist 9 challenge before you ever picked up a single plant. Everything you've picked up prior to starting the challenge doesn't count so your compendium is already 3/4 filled by the time you get to this challenge.... love this game but damn I hope they do something about issues like this in the next RD. Sorry, I needed to vent about that one, rant over 😅
For herbalist 9 I just had a text file open so I could track which plants I have to pick up. It does not matter if you have picked them up before, you have to do it all over again. This challenge should have a tracker or something to make it easier for the player.
Grass and such is growing meaning there is a fine layer of dirt there. It's also a mound so clearly Charles brought in some dirt and rocks to cover him since the ground wasn't deep enough to bury him.
