Yes you need to upgrade your OS or have to upgrade the drivers to the latest one. If your system isn't accepting new os then u need to do the same step each time you restart your pc
Bro but what i can do if at the properites of high definition sound is written : the device is working proprerly? but it is not :(( like it is still unplugged
Sorry i did not get what you are trying to say. Could you be little more specific ? I believe you are trying to say your speakers or hdmi is plugged in but its not working ? Try to uninstall the driver and if its an built-in sound card then check out the driver of your motherboard manufacturer website.
I follow some tutorial in yt and i ended up getting my AMD HDMI audio driver uninstalled, deleted, and i can't reinstall it again (the tutorial say that i only need to restart the pc and it will automatically installing the driver), but in my case it didn't. I don't know how to install the driver again, please help me bro
Your sound card seem to be damaged. It should detect as unknown driver, if it doesnt, perhaps you need to check physically if there is no any damaged chip /board on your motherbord

You need to find out what sound driver your motherboard has it. You need a driver for it. If it's showing hdmi all the way then the generic driver is being installed which will not work until you install base driver of your sound card
If you have windows 10 or 8 turn off the power and turn on and immediately hold left shift button on keyboard until you see further windows options, it should be there
im trying this on my laptop that has amd high definition audio after using f8 it removed the error sign on my speaker at device manager but still no sounds :((
Xoro Blankz Make sure if the audio driver is not the realtek. What windows you are running ?? How did it stopped working? There are many reasons for device to stop working. It could be a hardware problem too. I recommend to try different driver first.
Puneet Jaswal my laptop was windows 10 and it works fine but slow so I decided to go to a local pc repair shop and had it reformat and downgrade to windows 7 but after that when I came home the audio wasn't working, but it doesn't and everyte I try to click test on playback it says something like error test
NinjaDragonL which graphic card do you have ?? Is it Intel, Amd Radeon or nVidia. Confirm your gpu first then goto their website and download the latest version. It will install the driver. Let me know if it fixed your problem
@@ni2opps AMD Radeon. I've installed the latest, the reccomended, and older versions but none of them worked. When I go to device managers and check the audio, I don't see AMD High Definition Audio, I just see Realtek Audio but I need AMD Display Audio Driver because I plug HDMI into my GPU in order to have sound play. When I use the AMD Catalyst, it says the Audio Driver is already installed yet it doesn't show in device manager or playback audios. Yes I pressed "show all" and unhid things.
Then your should right click on it and uninstall the realtek HD driver and after that press ALT + A + A on keyboard. It will re-detect the driver and if it still doesnt install, click on update and locate the driver folder which is typically at C:\Amd\ folder. And locate it. If you are able to view amd high definition driver select and install it forcefully, if it doesnt show you. Unclick show non-compatible drivers. Once you are done it will ask you to reboot your computer and then press F8 and follow this video procedure. It will work.
