In this video I will help you resolve your issue with not being able to play audio from your Laptop/PC to your TV via your HDMI Cable. So if you are only getting video and no audio from the HDMI cable then this video should help you out! This will work with ANY version of Windows. Enjoy!

Thank you very much; this video solved my problem. I installed an AMD Radeon 5450 on my old HP computer, and couldn't get sound through the TV. It was coming through the computer speaker. (Pretty crappy sound !) Now it is coming through the TV I am using as my monitor. This is a great video, clear, to the point, and gives the route to solving this problem.

Hey thanks for the video it was super helpful! Unfortunately with my new win 10 update theres a couple issues with your video..1 hitting windows key and r does not open run( you have to go to the bottom left and left click run) also the sound in the corner does not bring up device manager for me nor does searching in run for it...but what did work is going to computer management which then show device manage and your other steps worked just an fyi thanks again though most of it helped me !

Kay look, i was messing with drivers for Windows mixed reality, now, i have issue with black screens, headset got 3.1 usb jack and hdmi input, now, i fixed black screen issue but have the sound problem, all i jave is option "when windows portal starts, switch to headset audio" and that is not working, tried everything from reinstalling drivers, checking/updating everything in device manager, tried playback device, checked disabled devices, but no dice. I have sound on my speakers, but i need headphone plug back on working :(

i tried this and it didnt work but i did find that in that same menu there is a tab called Sound, Video and game controllers and in that i had something called intel display audio that had lost its driver so i hit update on it and that fixed it. posting incase someone else finds this and this helps them

I undeliberately have clicked remove to the hdmi sound from the playback list. Now i want it back. I already reinstall the audio driver of my laptop but it doesnt re appear.. Any solution guys?
