Whilst there, we aquascaped his son Max's tank in his gaming room. We went for an Amazon style and selected fish that would suit this setup. Hi chris, your tank looks great... not over planted so you can still see that lovely piece of wood ...... (without moss 😊). I do love to see the Angel fish in what I would call their original form , which I remember seeing when I had my first dip into fishkeeping , back in the mid 1970's. All the best Dennis.👍.
This is my favorite aquascaping channel and definitely fuels my addiction. In 3 months I have put together 3 nano tanks inspired by your designs. I don't know how long I will be able to restrain myself from getting something bigger. I don't really have any spare room in my house.... the addiction is real.
That tank didn't looked it's age of 22 year's, I love this scape, absolutely stunning. The angelfish and neon's are fabulous to see grouped together. Thank you MD and Christopher for letting us go for the ride.
This is great. You should do a series where you do a scape for people at their house. I’m sure you would have allot of people wanting you to help them.
MY FAVORITE TANK!! (my next setup) PURELY PERFECT!! Nice and big tank but not overly excessive big... all natural, nicely filled, nicely lighted. 3D set up. I LOVE IT!!
That's so awesome that kid is going to have so many conversations with his friends about who put this together so so special. Love it thanks for sharing 💗✌️👍💯
MD, adult angelfish will 100% eat neon tetras and maybe the otocinclus too Neon tetras are a natural food source for angels so they will start disappearing soon You may want to warn him 😅
We probably shouldn't be comparing, but after seeing how dirty the tanks look in the American fish shop, we appreciate the tidy-ness of Matt's fish shop✨😋
Beautiful tank indeed, however I'm sckeptical about Angel fish. I once had a large angel in a tank with a school of Neons and never once saw any sign of outward aggression but oddly enough, every morning there would be 1 or 2 less Neons than the night before. It was not until I stayed up one night to monitor the behaviors (After lights-out) that I witnessed the Angel INHALING and EATING a Neon! I re-homed him and hadn't gotten any since. Maybe isolated but something to be aware of
What an amazing looking aquarium, that wood combined with the 3D background is just fantastic. I definitely think that MD should do a set up in his studio useing this 3D idea.
Looks awesome! I will say though that my experience with large Angels and Neons and smaller Black Neon Tetras has been bad, most of my large angels eat the tetras, even cardinals which broke my heart as I had to sell a school of 20+ of them. Hopefully the plants fill in more and help with that, I had these problems in 55 and 75g tanks this been larger may help as well. I now only keep angels with Tetras like the Emperor or larger.
If I were to stock the tank, I would select a different tetra besides neon. They are too small to be eaten by the angelfish. Maybe now they are good but give it a few months and they will be angelfish food.
Stunning tank I just fear for the neons as the Angel fish get bigger. Angels have always picked my neons off in the past. Gave up moved to African cichlids now that’s another story.
I’m so glad you came to the USA or America!! I know Chris has been wanting you to visit for awhile.. as in years!! And man the work you do with the tanks is amazing!! Can’t wait to see the next video
Context is an amazing thing. I've never noticed you as pale before, MD! You're welcome on the East Coast anytime but it gets pretty hot here too. Great build as always, lucky kid
I love your US trip.. awesome What a shop... I hardly can buy any here in the Phillipines.. my local fish store has like 5-10 tanks for fish... and 1 tank for plants.... what mostly is empty.
Oh that looks so good! Great job MD and Christopher! Love all the choice of fish as well. Glad to see that one Angelfish came around ok! I saw the same worried look on Christophers face as I've had on mine when a new fish didn't look so good. And Chris, your son looked in awe of it all. He was so happy. This video made my bit of a crap day all better, so thank you so much!
Hey Chris @christopher_scott , thanks for sharing your tank and the whole setup with us. It looks frekin' awesome! Curious - what's teh background made of, and where did you get it? And @MDFishTanks - nicely done. I hope you had a great time here in the USA!
Ok question time 150 neons guaranteed to repro 5 angles an bunch of other stuff in a 100 gallon tank isn’t that to many fish I always thought you go off of 1inch for every gallon unless im very wrong or saying it wrong just a question don’t bash me
so what's the status of that 1 angel, at the end only saw 5 swimming, unfortunate if gone. not really a fan of neons with angels or discus, there like perfect snack food if they get to close to them. nice build though.
Another awesome setup MD, that wood hardscape looks amazing! We have been watching your videos since you started and you (and Fish Shop Matt) inspired us to create our own 5ft aquascape so thank you!
Dallas North Aquarium is a great store but they are CERTAINLY not cheap and very proud of what they sell lol. I sell a lot of neo shrimp to them and to Fish Gallery.
That is such an awesome tank!!!! I really like the fish that you added in there, my father and I have tanks as well. We both have 29, 10 and 5 gallon tanks.
Chris needs to hang that light up because it will still go out eventually from the water evaporation. Mine did an his will too, I’ve learned to hang mine up an they work better that way also the algae doesn’t build up as fast when hanging it up.
What wold be cool is md doing a Maidenhead aquatics uk tour and doing his aquascapping in store. Don't no if you have ever done this but sales would go up and your subscribers would I guess aswell. Just an idea
This is a stunning tank, both you guys are such cool people and it's great to have friends in the same hobby, hope your travels and time in the USA are good fun, hello from Australia.
Aye I was waiting for this video. When I saw your coming to America video and you mentioned seeting up a tank for your buddies son but I never saw the tank. Now I know why
Can you suggest which practices should i follow to make a fish tank for black tetras, angel and corydoras. How to avoid angel attacks on tetras and corydoras? Thanks
