Wrong information was given about Garali in Jorhat. Rhinoceros is not related to Garali. Here the word gar means the protection wall built by the Ahom kings.

Assam produces 55% of India's total tea production and 18% of global tea production. Also it's the second place after China where tea plants were discovered in 1823 by Robert Bruce.

Hi David. Well, let ne be very honest with you and I hope you or no one else feel offended by my comment because that's not my intent. I think I have seen a lot of India now that I tend to skip parts of the documentary. I will still watch but it doesn't hold much of my interest. However, this is the first time I have seen pork in any of the dishes. The haircut and shave were overdue and the massage was very much needed. I try doing that massage with my eyebrows and it hurts, as a matter of fact, it hurts when I try to do that massage. Better to have someone with the experience to do it. So not very much more to say except I am going to watch the one you posted this morning. I believe it is Shillong. Keep working hard. What you are doing is very much appreciated.🙏✌️❤️🇹🇹🇨🇦

hey @DavidsBeenHere I love the channel and the vibes as well as the educational side of the vids as well I've noticed it's been quite some time since you've been to Canada you should definitely plan a trip to Ottawa Ont. Canada I'd say summer is the best time to visit as we have a lot of street food , keep the vids coming loving the inspiration . Much love from Canada

Trust me a Canada trip is long overdue and I do have some behind the scenes plans to go back sometime in the relatively near future. I'll be sure to post about it when its happening!

@@Davidsbeenhere I'm most definitely looking forward to it as I'm very much a foodie myself and have been checking out the diversity of food we have and or have yet to discover here in the city. I also like to follow your saying of support the local business. Once again much love from Canada 🇨🇦

Just a random question David. I have seen westerns spend a lot of time in the thunder bucket after eating out on the street in India. Did you not face the problem yourself?

Do you possibly have weblink for anyone selling the carved animals from Assam? Many people may not be able to travel there at this time, but would like to support the local people. Thank you for sharing this part of India. Really delicious looking cuisine.

Been eating all my life using my hands and fingers. I don't know where you get the idea that you should use only three fingers to pick food up and eat.😂 Stop teaching people as if that's the way to eat they can eat anyway you want, there's no right or wrong way eating with hands and fingers. lol.
