Early 2000 we used human hair for micros braids only. I think I'm sensitive to synthetic hair, I had crochet in for one full day my scalp was itchy and I had headache. I took them down and the relief 😮💨 was instant. Im doing all human for my next braid style.
The hair alone is like $400-500 depending on color and length...and bc the hair is being left out i can see branders requiring they provide the hair...so it’s really a $600-900 hair style 😅. I’ve done it myself and i kinda understand why it’s the price it is....but it’s also why i stay home all weekend and do it myself lol.
I’m so glad I came across this video. I’m planning to do the boho braids on myself and have been looking for a video to show me how to do it because I can’t braid lol. This video really helped. I do have a question though what is the longest you’ve left your braids in without them looking bad ?
Glad I could help!! 🫶🏽 I hope your install goes smoothly 😝 I might not be the best person to ask because i’m quick to take my braids down 😭 but the average amount of time that people usually have them before they start to get stale is about a month
yes! i used 4 bundles total but these were pretty thick as well so if you were to get thinner bundles that’s something to consider and you would probably need maybe 5 bundles. & thank you!!🥰🥰🫶🏽
I'm allergic to a lot of braiding hair. I sneeze, head itches, and all. The only one I can use is EZ Braid. And I'm not a fan of using human hair. I have my own personal hangups with using human hair. I hope to find a good synthetic curly hair to do this style. I wish I could find someone with short hair to do this style, but I'm going to attempt.❤
This hair is beautiful! Where you located and for the ladies that had to remove the synthetic braid hair😢 could they have rinsed the braids after they were installed when they realized the itch began
I added a small amount of super glue to the bottom! maybe you could do the same to try to save them but be careful not to glue your hair!! I usually dip the ends in hot water when i’m using braiding hair but since these didn’t have any the water doesn’t seal it in place and I use glue instead. Hope this helps!
If your stylist dipped your human hair ends it was for no reason at all queen. The whole point of dipping braids (synthetic) is to melt/seal the plastic fibers that synthetic is made of. Heat is not going to do anything for human hair so she lowkey played in your face with that stunt
thanks!! and yes so far because my client still has them in they’re holding up well. it’s been 2 weeks. Just make sure to wrap your hair at night with a scar to reduce frizz
I tried the acv rinse a few times and I still had an allergic reaction. I even bought the “hypoallergenic brands” and it was just as bad. I’ve been doing my braids myself so I didn’t feel like I wasted hundreds of dollars. I’ve given up on braids to be honest.
Aw man that definitely sucks!! I’ve heard there’s a banana fiber braiding hair, maybe you can try it. I’ll definitely give it a go one of these days and review it
I’m allergic to braiding hair. It made my scalp burn and then my hair fell out. And when I did my wash after I took them out my hair just kept coming out. 😏 I haven’t had braids in so long because of it.
