This is such a wonderful series you are doing right now. I’m reading the first book in the Mitford Murders series and the beginning I found a little rough. My heart was just breaking for Louisa’s situation with her uncle. But I’m settling into it more now that she’s with the Mitford’s!
I was always into Ramona when I was young-but I never tried Henry!! I need to!! I’m also SO excited that 2025 is going to be my completionist year for Gaskell, like 2024 is for George Eliot-because that means I will FINALLY get to read Wives and Daughters and find out for myself why you’re always singing its praises!! ❤
Beverly Cleary is one of my favorite authors. “The Wind in the Willows” is a book on my radar to read in the future. Thank you for all the recommendations.
Henry Huggins is one of my tippy-top favorites! I've always liked him and his stories, even better than Ramona. One of the most memorable chapters for me is when he's at the mall grand opening with the balloon on his beanie. 🤣 Thank you for this series!
I love Beverly Cleary books! I haven’t read her books for decades so I think it’s time to pick up Ribsy again. Henry Huggins and Ribsy were books I read several times, in fact, I still have my battered copies. I’ll need to check, but I do remember reading a middle grade biography of Ms. Cleary. And yes, I do enjoy Jessica Fellows’ books. Thank you for this series of gentle reads.❄️
Hello! I like very much your series of life-softening titles! You manage to inspire me to read all of them! Some are already favourites like the E. Nesbit Bastable family others are completely new to me. Thank you very much!
