12 antique rear engine driven snowmobiles which have seen 50 years of service head out from the Naubinway Snowmobile Museum on a three day 100 mile adventure.
Cunning Cat oh heck there's been over 120 brands....the 70's had many but now sadly on 4. Suzuki, Kawasaki, John Deere, Massey Ferguson, Mercury, Evinrude, Johnson, Bolens, Harley Davidson to name a few.
I actually don't like the looks of the new Snow Go's very much, the hoods or cowlings are all way to short, they're mostly just tunnel and tracks. That look on the older sleds is cool thou. Something like a mid 90s Ski-Doo Summit is the right proportions for my taste. Of course Im an old school muscle car type of a guy, long hoods and rear wheel drive.
Cunning Cat Totally agree. They have character. All 4 brands look so similar except for the paint colour. And only having 4 brands stinks. No variety. The 70's were awesome.
I had a HC Pauls Autoboggan for awhile in the early seventies and my uncle had one also which is the first sled I think I drove. My moms first cousin was Harry Pauls from Winnipeg Canada orginally from Spruce Home Sask. The video is really good but the terrible music totally ruins it like so many orhers said, have to watch with the sound off.
