@@tyrone1450Spotify streams carry more weight than other platforms like instagram since they aren’t streaming the whole joint and other plats just pay less
not bought because i'm having the same issue. I have 33 million streams right now and it shows that I made $30 from those numbers but I'm being paid $90 from an album i did with an artist that has 40k streams right now. I need answers and help asap
@@echandler2638 Cause you don't really have 33 million streams. That's like $132k per Spotify's payout of $0.004 per stream. It sounds like you bought plays, or ended up on a bot playlist.
Music platforms pay $3 to $4 for 1000 streams so $300 for 100 thausand streams means you we're getting $3 for 1000 streams so Its correct. Its accurate
Well cmon now they don’t pay for fake streams, even if it wasn’t him it’s still gonna notice . It also depends on the streaming service like if they were Spotify and apple I think he would be making bank IF the views were real ofc
Look everyone, it’s because u guys haven’t got your publishing, that’s y it shows the “quantity” they show how much it has been bought/streamed/or used on social media. Distrokid doesn’t pay for all uses of social media. But ascap/bmi/song trust does. So that’s y u are not getting paid threw distrokid for all of the uses/streams of ur song. Do your publishing❗️❗️
@@squirtdajerksick best options for your personal music...I'm from South Africa and I want to do this the right way cause seeing South African artist suffer cause of this publishing and all stuff makes me worry sometimes bout my own shit
You paid someone to help you build your platform up and all he/she did was use bots. I learned my lesson and never paid any one for playlist promotions again. Keep grinding though 💪🏽
Wrong…I don’t pay for promo. I don’t even pay for studio time. I own my own studio and equipment. Buying fake streams or followers or fake anything ain’t in my DNA ✌🏾
That isn’t entirely real streams. U need to actually check everything wit all the info. There’s a glitch where we get streams from Instagram/Facebook which doesn’t make sence. I looked into my distro and it says I hit 300K……….about 200k was from instagram/Facebook whatever tf that means LOL. But yeah IK my self my song didn’t hit 300K so I ain’t trippin
Not all streams are the same. 68k streams on one DSP, from one type of account, from one country, in one month, will pay an entirely different royalty than 250k stream from another DSP, from another type of account, from another country, in a different month. They calculate pools of revenue based on these factors and split them accordingly. The more revenue that your listeners generate, the more royalties you’re paid, vice versa. Ad revenue is a fraction of premium subscription revenue for Spotify for example. They don’t make nearly as much from advertisers paying them than they do from subscribers paying them. If your streams come from free users, you split that smaller pool of revenue from advertisers. If your streams come from a premium subscriber, you split that larger pool of revenue from subscribers. Same goes for country, and family/student/solo plan. Not to mention that they also make different amounts of revenue each month, so even if all else was equal, there still would be variance in your royalties. Hope this made sense.
@@ChaceBonanno yes ! It made it sense. Most of my views came from around the world and most of the time my premium followers from the states isn’t a big number but I do see a difference
These are not streams, these are Social Media Impressions, which basically mean shares and reposts or when someone uses your song in their videos AND the views off of these reuploads and shares, that's it, they don't pay much but it looks good though.
That’s a lot of exposure despite the lack of revenue. Uploading to DSPs like Snapchat and TikTok makes sense because you want exposure that will ultimately lead to more listeners on other DSPs, buying merch and tickets, etc.
I made this random “screaming monkey type beat” and it blew up somewhere! It somehow got 36,841 streams and made me $225.50 so far. $234.77 total on distro. Pretty good if you’d ask me. I’m only 16. Took like 20 minutes to produce haha
Same situation, the majority of the breakdown for me seems to be TikTok/TikTok Music/Resso/Luna for a song i had 2m streams on. I think it’s paying for duration. If it’s on a short or 1 minute video i think it’s fractions of a penny.
Please let me know where you can buy over 200 Millions fake streams from…I’ll wait..and who buys 200 million streams and don’t buy followers or something like that too? Please make it make sense lol
100 million streams does not mean all that came from spotify, i have a milllion plays from facebook with payout less than 1 usd, it depends on where a BULK OF THE 100 mill came from
It’s important from wich service and which country the streams are from. For example I got 14$ for 5k German streams on Spotify. And all around like 30$ for 10k streams on Spotify.
Y’all need to stop the cap all y’all buying streams Spotify numbers mean nothing to me show me your apple pandora tidal RU-vid music we all know you can scam Spotify
G shit I got a song with almost a million streams and my streams all legit never paid for fake streams everything organic and it only made $12 . I got other songs with only 30k streams that made $80 so I don’t know why that happens . I ain’t seen nothing on the site or online that explains that especially if your streams are actually REAL and it’s still a low payout
Hey! Love your content! What app did you use to edit this video so you can appear in front of a screenshot? I know its green screen style but can’t figure out how if there’s an app you use? Thanks!
Am not able to link my husband account on my DistroKid account, because I don't have have my own personal account here in India, can I use a Nigerian account
Same thing happened to me I got 3 million streams on distrokid an they hardly paid me anything when I wrote them they said the streams came from Facebook and Instagram
So, fb & IG basically don't pay nothing at all basically. I actually been noticed how low they payout be from them. Everybody needs to make more videos talking 💩 about it until they change that fr
The most corrupt organization in the world is the distributors and those responsible for supporting artists. Congress has had opportunities to help balance this, so it favors the artist, as it should, but hasn't. Imagine a world without music. Impossible. We need ethics in the music and arts world.
bro i have more than 5 million views and $600 in profits, but I woke up to find that all my music had been deleted and all my money had been withdrawn. Is there a way to recover it? ( Mostly copyright)
Okay for this you have to understand each music platform! Some music platforms don't pay as well as others do for example let's say i got 25k streams on Spotify I would get paid roughly around $109, vs getting 25k streams on SoundCloud i would get roughly $82... Plus you have to differentiate the streams between premium streams and free streams. There's allot that comes to it, plus licensing, and royalties etc. there's allot. But that's just to give you an idea based on different platforms. Hoped that helped!
i can explain this to yall , there is a sample in your song, that sound got that many streams, but you dont own it, the owners gets a cut from all of yall using it .hes super rich
Can’t be true. I sample all the time. But the 1 of a few songs that I didn’t sample, got 9.3 million Facebook/IG streams or impressions idk. I only got $100 and I’m here tryna figure out what’s going on😆 And I would NEVER pay for an ad or bots so idk Wtf🥴🙆🏿♂️🤷🏿♂️😂
@@streetsillustratedinc you don't know, but somebody is claiming it. A company told your distributor , they own a sound on your song... Distro, will add the numbers on your song . But your song never got the streams ..
Cap even at TikTok’s measly pay rate this would still be like 20k; at Spotify pay rates this is like 33k & at Apple Music rates it’s $1m Homie changed SOMETHING via inspect element.
It's streams... plus impressions... cuz i looked at mine like... how I even got 4million ...something is off... and it's cuz the impressions from fb ig and snap... every single possible thing combined...that doesn't really pay lol
I got paid $116 for less than 25K streams, So maybe something is happening there or they’ll take a little more to pay you the amount you’re expecting. But this is CRAZY
Once again, who and where can u buy this type of shit from? Lmao I can’t even use bots to buy sneakers before they sell out lmao and I got over 200 millions streams now btw
