95/100 I really enjoy these mega quizzes and I know that it takes a lot of work to prepare them, edit and upload them Thank you so much for all that you give to them. You are appreciated!!...Boiling an Egg: Put the eggs into the H2O and set it on the range to bring to a boil. When you achieve a hard boil, let it boil for 1 minute and then turn the burner off and place the lid on the pan. Let the eggs sit in the hot water for 10 minutes and then, after a full 10 minutes, remove and put into ice water. Perfect hard boiled egg...LOL...at least that is the way I like them. If you cut your egg in half and you see a thin greenish line around the yolk, it has been cooked too long.
87/100....shocking as am an old 78 years. Love doggies best but relegated to condo living & not fair to a dog. Have 2 rescue kitties....Ms. Mouse & Lady of the Lake.
Cool name for a dog 🐶 Nice to see you are playing some of my older videos. Thanks 😊. I'm not able to post a video a week at the moment, due to other projects, just every other week at the moment. I should have something new for you, coming soon. 👍😁
Re the egg. Depends on the altitude.... water boils at a lower temp as altitude increases. Since it it is not possible to heat it over 100 c it'll take longer at altitude.
56/100.. not a totally bad performance I'd say. I didn't like the blend of questions much though. Many of them are asking about western food 😂🤣. As a Nigerian this was Hella tough for me.
It also depends on the method used. What is generally considered the proper method is to have the eggs in room temperature water, raise the water to a boil, then cover and remove from the heat for the appropriate time depending on how you want the yolks to come out. I have, however, seen people who keep a flame under the eggs and some who place the eggs in after the water is heated. These variations will change the cooking time (and may result in cracked shells).
We don't refrigerate our eggs in the UK there's no need to, and you’re right @eclecticeplorer7828, I boil the water first, though I recognise it's not generally considered the best method
Actually (or technically) the record speed was 33 1/3. I don't know about now but look at any vintage record player it is labeled 33 1/3 and not just 33. As teen (I'm 71) I'd save my money to buy a "thirty three and a third LP"
Plz,don't be so fussy. The inscribed speeds were 78, 45, 33 . There was a 16, as well. There was no way that " 33 and 1/3 " could be engraved onto a small dial..
@@lindafromcalifornia1155 True, but I think my last turntable ran at 34 or so. On some songs I noticed it and others I didn't. Made all my music sound a bit flat if I was trying to play along. But it balanced out, because the built-in cassette tape player was low, so... That's why I was a very early adopter of CDs.
While you are technically correct about what the speed values are, the control would usuallly be marked as just 33 without the fraction, so it is a matter of how you interpret the question. However, there was another problem with that question. The text read, "What speeds to record players normally have?" Note that it says "to" instead of "do." It sounded like the narrator said "do," but the text version was incorrect.
Digging up old quizzes, and I managed a 91/100 on this one. Nice selection of questions. I particularly like the ones that I know before the choices are given. BTW, I'm not a dog, cat, or bird person.... I prefer my pets cold-blooded, reptiles and amphibians. Mostly, I'd prefer snakes, but, I've never named one Elvis.... 😂 Thanks for the enjoyable quiz. Now, off to find some more oldies.😁
I got 61 good answers. I come from Netherlands so some answers are different like in the Netherlands a bear claw or as we call it a berenklauw is a croquet a crispy snack with all kinds of meat stuffed in really delicious 🤤
Ok so a few things. As a Floridian I've never heard a florida cracker be the name for a sheep. It's usually reserved for a Floridian as in person. 😂 2. Definitely a dog person. And 3. The C in E=MC2 actually stands for the constant velocity of the speed of light. Just to be technical. Loved this quiz! ❤❤❤❤
Sphinx cats are precious...I adore: Birds, cats, dogs... goats... lemurs.. all creatures great and small. Question: isn't a "Chippy" the person who makes fish and chips? Great quiz. Cheers.
58/100 And to question 7: “Kirsch” or “Kirsche” literally means “cherry” in German so I guessed it right even though I didn’t know the drink ^-^ And I guessed the “Karate” one right because I knew “te” means “hand” in Japanese :3 I’m not a native English speaker by the way.
The 2 that got me are-- What part are you holding when you have a potato in your hand? The seeds, The stems, The roots?;(I'm still trying to wrap my head around the question, let alone know the answer!) #2--- What is the real name of the Statue of Liberty? Heck, I thought it would be Karen! LOL.
if you think it takes 10--12 minutes your wasting energy. put a lid on the saucepan for 4--7 minutes! great quiz by the way, i like the fact you read them out. i can get on with stuff while playing
Great Questions that actually testify a good general knowledge. Only „Panzer“ doesn't mean armour in German. „Panzer“ only means tank in German. „PanzerUNG“ means armour. „Paul Panzer“ is also a famous german comedian btw He does no nazi jokes though
Sorry, you might need to go back to marine biology school. They are decapods, which means ten. The claws are biologically classified as legs. Here's one of hundreds of references that state lobsters have 10 legs. oceanfauna.com/how-many-legs-do-lobsters-have/
You are correct, except that's not what the question asked. It asks what c represents. 😁 For some reason lots of people read that one incorrectly, even though I read it out. 👍😳

I learned that the regulation height for a basketball hoop was actually defined in feet. Don't use Michael Jordan's feet though, that would make it way too high
I didn't count, but I think I got about 15 wrong. I was surprised how many I had no idea about but guessed the right answer- much more than 1 in 3. I guess I had some subconscious memory down there that I called upon. Probably 6 or 7 out of about ten.
