Where's Jester? well ya see I fucked up. I don't watch critical role so i didn't know they started a second campaign. I thought that Jester was a jester npc ( yes i realized after that it doesn't make sense for a player to do a npc voice in a DnD game)

yeah, especially in infamous second son, laura is fetch and travis is the main characters delsin(troy baker)'s brother reggie, so in the lead up to an off camera sex scene it was real awkward in the studio for a few minutes as travis had to watch troy fake flirt with his wife

I like how all 100 of the characters she voiced have their own unique tone, I honestly didn't know she voiced half of theses characters because they all sound so different.
Something I can't say about Liam obrien tbh. I mean he's good of course but has a much more limited range from what I've seen and I always keep hearing the same sort of thing
Idk about every character having a unique tone. Most of them, like her black widows and lucinas have the same generic "serious female" voice. But she definitely has a hell of a range when she needs it. Kid trunks, Keiko from yuyu Hakusho and Catherine were huge surprises that made me smile. Very talented voice actress.
Let's hope that the Abby from LoU2 controversy and the death threats that spawned from it are now over. That woman is way too nice and talented for this world. A thousand acclaimed roles and people attack her and her son online for just ONE hated role. Sometimes, I just want a portal to a better world than the one I live in.
Like they say, to each their own taste. But if a character is hated, it's NOT worth threatening to kill the actor AND their 2-year-old kid! Sorry if I seem to repeat it, it just pisses me off.
I love abby as much as Joel and Ellie but even if I absolutely despised a character I would not hate the actor. The people who threatened Laura and her child are completely psychotic.
I'm just now starting Critical Role and going with Campaign 2 first. I'm also replaying Persona 4 and going on Rise route. I have also been reading Fruits Basket. I think I might be a fan.
Honestly my favorite role of hers would be Kainè from NieR. She really brought such a tragic character to life, and I genuinely cannot imagine Kainè being done by someone else.
I'm so glad they got her to play Kaine again even though it's been over a whole decade since the first Nier. I hope to see her play as Kaine in the next Nier as I have a feeling the Replicant and Automata characters will meet each other.
I still can't believe how different she can sound, like when I heard that she voiced both Kainé and Lucina I was mildly surprised ( her Kainé is still my favourite of her roles and I think she was the perfect choice for that character ), but kid Trunks ? That and some other characters here I would have never guessed, it's so weird yet amazing

This is terrific, thank you for posting it! The first time I heard Laura Bailey (that I know of) was as Tohru Honda in Fruits Basket. Since then in other anime and games, then I discovered Critical Role. That has been amazing! And if you are reading this in or around October 2021, they just started Campaign Three so it is a good time to check her out. I mean check it out. Lots of fun!

And if you're going for realism go for fantastical realism where everyone is attractive. Simply put if you want my opinion I hold almost the opposite opinion. But the fact that this is not an insult to the people voice acting is a point that could be more easily expressed.

This is besides the fact one could argue that all aesthetics in a person are related to how genetically fit they are for sex, and reproduction. So perhaps when i say pretty, I mean pretty, and less clothes can also be pretty. You may use the word sexy if you prefer the idea is the same--how you get there is the same--all that is different is the semantics around it. Additionally there were characters in this that are pretty/sexy but not revealing.

K-ON is amazing, love japanese music's. Bleach is incredible. RWBY and Gurren Lagann is pretty kool. Winx Club and Suzuka is amazing and romantic. Halo 4 & 5 Guardians is awesome. Halo is my first favorite game, all of them. Justice League VS Teen Titans is a great movie. It's funny because the people who played it all the way through loved her role, as people were meant to hate the character at the beginning. It is tragic that people have no patience and jump to judgement. It makes me sad. I can't believe they'd threaten her family just because they didn't care to play the rest of the game.
you know this lady has gotten death threats for playing the most hated character Abby in the last of us, its really sad because she did a really good job in bringing the character to life.

Don't know what's going on in those people's heads, do they think the actors write their own role or something? Not that it would excuse such behavior, but it would at least make some simple kind of sense.
Laura Bailey as Jaina could step on my throat and I would say thank you, more please. But also, like, Jaina is such a fucking amazing character. Her story is the best one blizzard ever wrote, other than arthas. And I couldn’t imagine anyone else voicing Jaina than Laura bailey.

She is such a strong person, cant imagine after people finding out she was the voice actor of Abby Anderson in TLOU Part 2, she got so many death threats and harassment, i wouldn’t be able to leave my house after that if that were me!! I love her performance as Abby and I hope Laura is doing okay!

Everytime when i play a game and hear her voice i'm like: Laura? Is that you? And some of the game character she voiced they look like her, like Kait Diaz in Gears of War
Laura has such an amazing range! Its honestly sad that a number of her voices fall under the Black Widow/Serana voice. That slow, deep, sultry style of speaking. If I'm being honest, I love her higher pitched, friendlier voices. That said, I am enjoying the Southern accent of Imogen for Campaign 3 of Critical Role. It feels like a happy medium of being deeper in tone, but still carrying the young, friendly pitch.
Jesus... I never knew how much the person that i knew as "the critical Lady" was in my life that fucking much, she was in 70% of all of my anime, cartoons, and games as a kid to now, all the way back to Dragon Ball as Trucks, Dende, and Chi Chi in 1996, to Naruto and Bleach, to the 2023 spider man 2 for god sakes. So much respect to her.
You forgot she's also Kira Carsen in Star Wars: The Old Republic (who fyi is one of my favorite companions in that game as well as favorite romanceable character)
Absolutely not, her slavic accent in c2 is horrendous, as is her midwestern accent in c3. Also in uncharted 4 with her failed attempt at an afrikaans accent.
Every time I've seen Black Widow on screen weather in a game, or a show or movie. She is one of two people Scarlett Johansen, or Laura Bailey. Both are great

In my opinion one of the best and one of my favorite voice actresses ever she is great. Don't define her by a role define her for her talent and who she is. To be honest I think that was the only real category I really accepted for the game awards and that shit was well you know

Next should be Laura husband, Travis Willingham. He's also a voice actor who's been working for decades, and can be seen on Critical role as both Grog Strongjaw, the goliath barbarian, and Fjord, the half-orc warlock/paladin. He's also cast as Thor in Marvel media about as often as Laura is as Black Widow.
