Last year I snuck away for a couple days solo on the Wyoming BDR.
Here's 100 seconds of that trip!

Well that just looks incredible. Aspen Alley, water crossings, rough, rutted roads, all of it has me wanting to take the Himalayan out into the flaming foilage of the Central Pennsylvania mountains. A fantastically constructed video. I was glad to see the speedometer from time to time. You look to be going so fast but then I see you're not going any faster than I do. That was a nice salve for my riding ego!

Thank you. It was a beautiful ride. Met some really nice people along the way too. Like you, I often ride alone, so it’s definitely not a race. For me, rides like this are a chance to get away. I enjoy exploring new places and the adventure that comes with doing it alone on a motorcycle. I posted more of a full length video about a year ago, but this is a very short edit since the folks at @rideBDR were asking for people to submit short films. I wasn’t planning to do it, but saw a call for entries from them today and thought, “What the heck why not?“ and threw this edit together this afternoon. I’m thinking that you have ridden part or all of the north east BDR, right? You should do a short film too!

@@flatgrindrides I've only ridden a small part of the MidAtlantic BDR. I did the one expert section on my Vespa GTS. It was rough. I wouldn't attempt it on my Himalayan now. Too old, fragile, and smart now! 😄

@@ScooterintheSticks I still can’t believe you did it on the Vespa, LOL! I mean, I believe that you did it, but oh my gosh, that is not the ideal tool for the job! I bet it was fun for you, not so much for the bike. Those small wheels, practically no suspension, and very little in the way of ground clearance, with a beautifully painted underbody!😂
