I bought this press in January 2017, and have used it for 8 months now, and I am very satisfied with it. It is very well built. When I first contacted Redline, the folks there were more than accommodating and supportive from answering questions initially to final delivery. I use it to stamp nameplates, a little unconventional, but this machine worked perfectly for the setup I needed.
All about the safety features but not wearing the safety glasses. Luckily that wood didn’t shatter and splinter out through the guard. Overall this looks like a very handy press for any shop.
There's nothing stopping you from controlling the on/off of the press via an in-line switch from X feet away. Pretty easy stuff to accomplish on the electrical isle at Home Depot.
This video link below may help you. The first thing you have to understand, is that it's not possible to convert tons to psi. Tons is either pounds-force or pounds-mass. PSI is pressure, which is force over area. They aren't the same thing. The video will likely help a lot. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1i6yyef_36c.html
