In this video I show how I go about building a Hydraulic Press! My inspiration came from watching Keith Fenner! If anyone is interested in more details, I will be happy to update with more video etc.
The more I thought about it, the bigger it got! lol! What I had before was pretty much useless! Now I have a tool I use on a daily basis or at least it feels that way! How do I see your "Forum", This is new to me! Thanks for Watching!

@@Letsmakeitgreatagain. I thought it was a good idea also, you used the orange triangle welding clamps center hole to run the coolant line through when you were machining/drilling to position coolant hose at about 37 second mark
First class build, great work! Wondering what the dimension of the uprights are, I think you said the holes are 1-1/2". I'd like to see a slower pan or more still shots, the video went by too quickly. Thanks for sharing with us!
So sorry I just saw your comment! And yes the holes were 1-1/2"! When I shot the footage for my hydraulic press, I was not yet a You-Tube producer! My recording equipment is evolving, likewise my style of shooting has also changing! Hope you like what I'm posting and I will try and produce an update showing some of my attachments I've made for my press!
@@amybuono4840 Thank you for your question! When I decided to build my press the price of steel was much less than it is today! I also used what I had lying around my shop! I already had a 3-1/2 hp motor on the shelf! I did buy a load of hydraulic parts for $100, which included various rams, hoses and controls. If memory serves I think I paid around $150 for the steel! If I had to guess today it would be around $500 just for the steel! I’m glad I built it when I did! While I was in the designing process, I decided to add wheels, which was a great move! That added another $100 bucks! In order to raise and lower the platform, I bought a $25 boat winch! I wasn’t sure if it would do the job, but I was pleasantly surprised how well it performs! In conclusion I designed it to come apart. It can be completely disassembled and loaded into the back of a pickup! Hope this was helpful!
