Please tell me anyone.... if i say "husband's ring" in turkish, which is correct? "Kocaın yüzüki" or "jocanın yüzüki" ? i mean "ın" "nın" ?
@minniewonka
@minniewonka 3 года назад
"kocanın yüzüğü" you shouldn't use ' because this is not a special word
@minniewonka
@minniewonka 3 года назад
also koca means husband kocan means your husband
@minniewonka
@minniewonka 3 года назад
There are possessive suffixes in Turkish, they show who the object belongs to for example my husband's ring=kocamın yüzüğü her husband's ring = kocasının yüzüğü your husband's ring=kocanın yüzüğü and ring means yüzük ı think you already know that but when you are saying or writing this kind of words last letter will be soft for example kitap➡kitabı bağcık➡bağcığı Additions starting with a vowel to Turkish or foreign words ending with one of the sounds p, ç, t, k; The hard consonant at the end of the word softens when the construction or inflectional suffixes are introduced. With this softening, it turns into b, c, d, g, ğ. This situation is called consonant softening. I hope you understand, if you don't understand you can ask me or google 😊

How do I know when to use the word “numara or sayı”? Why can’t I say “iki sayı” instead of “iki numara”? Thanks 🙏🏻
@turkpolyglot..4854
@turkpolyglot..4854 Год назад
Numara daha çok "sıralı sayı" anlamında kullanılır. Mesela "ikinci" bir numaradır. Ama "iki" bir numara değil, sayıdır. Sayılara ayrıca "rakam" denildiğini de duyabilirsin. İyi çalışmalar 👋
@MrBephelgor
@MrBephelgor Год назад
We call numbers "numara" in specific situations such as when we mention a phone number, bank account number, student id number etc. Sayı is usually numbers used in mathematics. As an addition to my friend, rakam means the names of symbols from 0 to 9. Sayı is usually the combinations of rakams when we talk about numbers. So 15 is not a rakam, but it is a sayı. 6 can be both, depending on the context. Addutionally, we use rakam as 'amount' in daily talk. "He offered us a huge amount!" / Bize çok yüksek bir rakam teklif etti!

@gul3450
@gul3450 3 года назад
i can give you some examples kimi görüyorsun? - who are you seeing? kimi izliyorsun? - who are you watching? kimi seçtin? - who did you choose? kime gidiyorsun? - who are you going to? kime üzüldün? - who did you feel sorry for? (also you can say: kim için (for) üzüldün?) kime inanıyorsun? - who do you believe?
