100% Way to Fix a Water Damaged iPhone 4s 5 or ANY DEVICE [HD] 

Oh my god! I thought this was BS then I tried it, and it works!!! Not even kidding right now, i'm so happy. I found some greenish blue battery acid looking stuff and scrubbed it off, and now it works! It was dropped outside in a ditch and got water damage because it rained while I lost it, that was about 2 years ago. So now you know, how long you've had the water damage doesn't matter!

I searched for something like this video! I had an Iphone 4s water damaged for like 2 years or more, I tried this I it worked!! If you are trying this take your time !! I hope it will work for everybody who tries.

I don't know if this will work but your instructions were great, very easy to do and I found much corrosion that had been a result of an iphone day at the water park, i'm in the drying phase now, thanks for sharing your knowledge

Nice video ... but just a small FYI: The two small screws on the bottom of all iPhones 2010 and newer are NOT T5 screws. You can strip of severely damage them by trying to remove them with a T5 driver. The are called Pentalobe screws and require a Pentalobe driver to remove/tighten properly.

Thank you. it worked. it was difficult. and to get the phone closed up It took me a few times of tweaking and working the back plate,back on. with out scratching. but for someone who is looking to try this take your time and let everything dry a day or 2 before closing it back up. obviously if water is still trapped you can do more damage, arch fault. etc. thanks for the great video.

This works. I disassembled my iPhone that was absolutely dead and showed the red dots inside that indicate it had water damage some time in its past. I took out the main board, took the metal covers off as he describes it to give access to as much of the board as possible. I used a toothbrush and 91% isopropyl alcohol to lightly brush the components. Could see no corrosion but the phone was DEAD. I let the motherboard dry overnight. Put the metal covers back on. Reassembled the phone. Hit the power button as I'd done many times before and the Apple symbol appeared!!!!

My HTC One X+ started rebooting itself and having weird issues like the lock screen turning on and off after a few drops of water got into the headphone jack. After doing this method it's working completely normal again and I don't have to throw it in the thrash, thank you! I didn't remove the metal covers on my phone though.

Took my phone for a swim in beer, couple of days later tried this with isopropyl alcohol (ipa) and it worked 100% worked!

is it just the 5 screws that are different and the screws for the battery and by the attena and charger connector shield the same?

hello. i have an iphone 5 that i wanted to replace the bettery. when i lifted the screen it didn't come in one piece. i mean the glass and screen came off in one piece while the thin frame underneath didn't. i saw the screen was still working at the point in time. then when i was able to lift the screen frame, i noticed that one of the tiny screws holding the front camera was really loose so i tighten it up. i proceeded to replace the battery (i might've unplugged the battery before turning the phone off) and when i put every thing back together, the screen was all black, the phone doesn't respond to anything. i call it and it rings but the phone is just dead. i then plugged it to itunes and it was recognized just fine. any idea what could the problem be?! :(

The black sticker or Heat Dissipation sticker that you removed and stated that it does not matter, actually matters. So those that are going to try this repair, please be careful and do not tear or remove it. They can always be found on Ebay for a replacement. You might only find ones that come from over seas but when it does arrive, be sure to place one on the mother board.

Question.. my iPhone 5 was drenched in beer about 2 weeks ago.. I was not aware that it was wet because whoever did it dried it with a napkin and left it hoping they wouldn't get blamed.. when I grabbed it I pressed the home button to use it and it wouldn't turn on.. of course I had no idea it was wet, so I connected it to the charger thinking it had died (totally bad I know) I was later told about the incident so I decided to put it in rice hoping it would work.. it now turns on when it is connected to the charger, but it only goes as far as the apple screen and it has some black lettering across the top.. I'm not worried so much about the phone.. but I had about 2500 pictures I cannot replace and I would really like to get them back.. would the steps to this video help me?

Hello, will this still work after about 24 hours? I dropped my iphone in the toilet for a few seconds and it wouldn't turn on at all. I let it dry by submerging it with rice in a plastic bag for a few hours. When i check on it, it seemed to work again. But since i took out the SIM card before, i put it on again and the screen went blank. There seems to be water inside the screen on the top left...

I have an IPhone 5s, I dropped it in a lake, I tried turning it on and it wouldn't turn on but made buzzing noises, hours later I opened it up and dried some water out of it, it still wouldn't turn on so I tried charging it, it turns on, but only Shows the apple logo (still had water on the screen) for a few seconds then turns off, and keeps doing the same thing until I unplug it, I left it in water obsorbent beads for a few days, still does not turn on, only when I plug it in the apple logo shows up but keeps doing the same thing as before, is there anything I can do to fix this? I'm not sure if I should replace the battery. Help would be much appreciated

Hi i have a samsung galaxy s4, and my phone in my pocket when i was walking home from a storm. I got home, took my phone out of my pocket and dried it off, but after a few hours, the screen turned off. My phone was still on and the led light was still working. I took my battery out for a while and i put back in and after a several tries the screen started working again, but it turned off again about an hour later. Do you have any idea how to fix it

interesting..my water damage indicator is still white but the salt water looks like it got to the upper part of the phone damaging my screen connectors, so basically my backlight to my phone so the display doesn't give off light though the colorised pixels requiring sunlight to be able to see the display, will dripping isopropyl alcohol on the connectors fix the salt buildup? SOME ONE ANSWER

My iphone 5s was dropped in a pool but i got it out quickly and put it in a bag of rice, the next day when i checked on it it would turn on and work there were just a few glitches in the screen but after a few hours it worked perfectly and then just shut down and I can't turn it on or anything now, what should I do?

what about the lcd and digitizer when you get water damage the lcd is the first thing to go the water usually dosent damage the logic board right away ya you should go through and clean the corrosion on the logic board and connectors but I'm sure the people want to know how to fix there lcds i personally have been fixing phones since the first iPhone and can tell you that it was a shock to me when it worked but i just submerged my logic board in alcohol and went to work drying/cleaning the lcd and digitizer with alcohol keep in mind the lcd had done gone black within seconds of getting wet and boom when i was done it came back to life I've done it several times you showed the people some amateur night bs lets see you fix the water damaged lcd

so i accidentally spilled a bit of water on my iphone, it still worked its just the volume and sound was glitch af. so anyways it still worked and i only left it in rice for a bit. it worked for the next two days but then today when i came home from school it wouldn't turn on! someone please help, its now sitting in some rice. ;-;

I put it in a sock and swung it around to get the water out quickly, put it in a bag of rice on a vibrating surface then saw this video, Now i did'nt scrub with alcohol, but I took it all apart and put everything but the battery(didnt want it to warp) out in the sun( in the 80's so hot out) for about 20 minutes. put it all back together and it doesnt come on unless i put it on the charger, and as soon as i unhook it it shuts off, Any idea what going on or how to fix it?
