Watch me try this challenge: Build a starter base with only 100 wood and 5 stone - only use tools that you can get before Eikthyr.

The rules are:
1. You are not allowed to dig.
2. The materials you have must be enough for a workbench, a bed, a fire and a chest. This means that you can't build your actual house with more than 70 wood.
3. Your house must be livable, meaning that your fireplace must withstand a thunderstorm, you must be able to use the bed and you must be able to craft tools on your workbench.

it’s like watching a valheim player live like a minimalist which is actually pretty cool. Would love to see base ideas around that philosophy.

Cool idea! Could do different minimalistic builds for the different stages of the game. Minimalist Lifestyle in Valheim :) Maybe a challenge to see who can beat the game with the least amount of resources :)

@@just5moremins that seems a done deal. You always have that one dude managing it with essentially 0 resources by using some bug for the bosses.

@@dekippiesip well, one can always say no exploits :) its not that bad anymore luckily, and I would think people would do it for the challenge if anything. It would almost be like the speedruns in many ways.

The word "base" and having less than 10 chests don't equate in my Valheim brain. 😅

Thats what the first chest is for, to store all the wood you need for the loot room ;)

Thank you! Could probably shave off even more if one wanted since the bed only requires 1.5 length :) but got to splurge a little ;D

Yeah I used to make pretty large buildings for my bases but have been finding compact and cozy builds are more fun and challenging to create and design with decorative styles
