I have remade the base again but have not placed the big kiln yet :) only difference is to burn heartwood right now so not worth the space yet in a solo single slot build i feel :) but than can change of course so might have to find some place :D
@@just5moremins that would be fine too ..... but your wrong there because you can sepnd money to be a group ... that destroys the fact of beein a "social game"
Maybe this is possible without iron, using corewood, since you have middle support as well. so you can start this in early game and upgrade to Iron later
You should be able to do it with corewood, but will probably need some more vertical support and you would need to do wood floor etc of course :) and the fireplace would need to be on the ground unless you manage to balance it on a stone :)I guess you coul raise some ground as well for support.
Any tips on planting these? Mine are very picky. Either “need more space to grow” if I put them next to a wall, or “needs a wall nearby” if I try to give them a bit of space from the wall :(
What I found is if you snap a 1m beam to the wall and use the end point of that as a measure of length from wall it should be ok. If you are planting them along a whole wall, you need more space between them, maybe 2m of open space. If there are openings in the wall or like I did in the vineyard with the dividers, then around 1m. And the open space it needs are in a half circle around it out from wall.
hmmm, not sure, you would need to use a lot of vertical support beams if at all possible. It is around the limits of the core wood in height and tough you do get support from the stones it might not be enough. For a similar build on the ground it would be no problem.
Yes, its just with iron beams as support. You could go higher if you raised the ground as support in the middle, or used a tree as they also give the same status as ground for building pieces.
Beautiful yet simple build! Promptly yoinked it into our friend server haha. Just a question - how did you plant those small fern-type bushes? I have PlantEverything and BetterCreative yet I can only plant the round bushes/shrubs 🤔
Thank you! Glad you found use of it! :D Those fern types are just random if they show or not from turning ground to grass. So cant place those as far as I know.
No, just iron beams for this. With a Pine tree you could go even higher :) And could also raise some of the ground I guess for support at lower floors. This is just using iron beams and roughly how high you can get with that :)
I have the Gizmo mod installed for my creative mod profile but dont always use it. It does open up building some cool stuff though so I really want to try it more :) Only used normal rotation for this buiild though.
oh, sorry, forgot I was playing with the creative mod there, it has so you can place some things you normally could not. But there are a couple of ways. One is that you can raise the ground a little in a small spot, place the portal and then place the black marble around/under portal. Other options ares to place a Grausten Floor first and place portal on that and then place the marble around, or a Flametal Beam on top of the black marble, and then place the portal on the beam. I thought they had changed this since the beta. sorry :)

Thank you! I am glad you liked it :) I think you could use those walls for trophy type place also, I like the new pillars and stone wall. They are clean, so what you add to them shows more.
@@apocrising2758 Them troll be smacking your roof down too :) If you want to avoid trolls you need some defense. Simplest is raising the ground for a wall. And there are other options too. Cant hit you if they cant reach you :)
@@just5moremins I have spikes to perfection they can't even destroy them or get to them before they take a hit from the flowers staggered top hits them instant dead love those ashwood spikes. Wish I could make any spikes out of different wood or even stone.
