A classic piece of farm equipment is still in use after 100 years on a Midwest farm. Come with us to see a C.D. Edwards Road Grader in use. #grader, #farming, #familyfarm, #horsedrawn,
We've got a front dolly and a few bits and pieces of a old horse drawn grader in the yard for conversation.... When I was a kid, I remember a few around people still used.... Our County Highway Dept used a big one behind a dozer right up into the 60's. Thanks Dave.
I always wondered how good those worked and I always wanted one. It’s amazing how good is shape that thing is you sure are centered around a lot of nice old equipment. I really like that Meleoe drill all you’ve got in the last video. Can’t be too many of those are wrong.
It really works good. I drove back there yesterday and the driveway is smooth as can be. The Melroe is a nice drill but I continue to fight the clutch. Poor design that fails too often, but it places the seed nicely.
Good morning Dawn and Dave ☕☕☕ I've always wanted one. Almost had a couple tractors converted to graders. Almost had a horse drawn too. But they wanted about 3 times what they were going for. But then, it was 8 miles away, compared to 2,000 miles away 🤔
I have one of these graders its an Adams i believe and built in ilioni around 1860 it is one of the few that were fitted with a ripper .I am in IRELAND..
I worked for a neighbor that used one of those too. I was about to say that they were built in Albert Lea. For some reason the Edwards didn't wear all that bad.
