Dude , love your channel . Just found it by accident today and I have already watched quite a few episodes . YOUR A BREATH OF FRESH AIR ! You operate your own camera equipment, drive and maintain your RV, cook, clean, explore, investigate, repair broken boat motors.........you are amazing. I've been watching quite a few modern day you-tube explorers, but you are the most interesting! I wish you the best of health and happiness so you can continue to do your thing....and share it with us!

Great content, very well done. Definetly set yourself apart from other adventurers. Being born and living my early childhood 200 miles north of Whitehorse, Yukon....this reminds me of all the adventures i had as a little girl. How i survived not breaking anything, scrambling around the woods as i searched for relics of the past is beyond me. Seeing it now, as an adult makes me appreciate why i never told my parents what I was up to. I wonder if theres anything left of the outpost where we used to live in Beavercreek. Somethinf like a dozen mobile homes next to a pumping station in the middle of nowhere. Thanks for being a true canadian and not over explaining and avoiding stupid speculations, lol.

In 1968 I had my first 2 wheeler. It was a "banana seat" bike with the same handle bars. It had a green seat with white handle bars with streamers. My Dad added a bell and a spoke clapper (clothpin and playing card) then removed the streamers. He thaught me how to bike. Same bike at 11m49s! Wow! Thanks for the memories.

Recently discovered your show and as a wishful explorer that respects other peoples property. Including those that are abandon I really appreciate your own views and concerns regarding those that destroy and/or remove items from these sites. Your shows seems to be improving over time and your experience is growing, keep up the great work and thank you for providing us baby boomers with some interesting and honest shows. Peace.

As a full-time video producer for over 30 years and now fellow youtube producer....you found your balance! Less the docu style stories and more comedy/adventure exploring is why I started watching your channel years ago, well done....I honestly enjoy you just being out there unscripted then some of the newer ones! ...And trim that beard....think I saw a bird fly out of there!

Probably found you about six- eight months ago and have even went back and watched all your old videos too. Your personality and humor was always spot on but I can see over time how your videography and story telling abilities have become amazing. I am super jealous and happy for you. If I could I would be doing exactly what you do. Keep making them and eventually you won’t know what to do with all the money you have to cover everything. I can’t believe you don’t have millions of followers already. I tell everyone about you. Keep making great videos and I’ll keep watching and liking them all. You do a great job bud.

Loved this adventure!!! Thank you for taking me along with you! I can’t believe all of the foliage! Unbelievable! It’s almost like you can’t construct anything out of wood as it only is destroyed by all of the moisture! Things would almost, entirely need to be built out of concrete! I LOVED the beautiful house, so very sad that they tore it down😞 I love explores like this...all unknown! Thank heavens that you are a great mechanic, so you can fix anything that goes wrong!!!😳 Thank you sooo very much for sharing this wonderful adventure! I loved it ❤️

Very sad to see they tore the old doctors house down. Not sure if you've gotten to see any old photos but there used to be a big wooden bridge or walkway type structure from the doctors house to hospital island! Thanks for another awesome video! PS you can tell it's a lot easier to explore in winter months around here 😂 all the brush is gone so you can get around easier and see a lot more!

For those of you who are not familar with our beautiful country, Prince Rupert is about 770 km north of Vancouver. It is on Kaien Island near the Alaska Panhandle. It was founded about 5,000 yrs. ago by the Coast Tsimshian. Prince Rupert is on the inside passage where ships go up to Alaska. I grew upon the second property you went to. the first building you came to was the boatshed that was built in the 1920s by my grandfather. The second structure was the actual house we lived in the other structure shortly after that with the window was the wood shed that my dad built and the back boatshed was one that my dad and uncle built in the 1970s

Appreciate the time and effort you put into take us on your journeys! Three trips for this footage - it doesn't go unnoticed. Thanks for helping me explore my home province! Next time your down in southern BC there are plenty of places to check out along the Dewdney Trail and the Kettle Valley Railway Trail (I know you were around there last year but plenty more to explore). My dad was just telling me about his hike into Mascot Mine near Hedley back in the 70s (I guess there's an actual trail now in to it now) but plenty of abandoned sites around including Dukhobor historic sites (many have been burned down, obviously, since the 1920s).

It’s not reaally in the middle of nowhere there is a small community 10min away. Also the doctors house had a basement so maybe they just wanted to prevent people from falling in a hole 🤔 though mostly covered up if you’re wandering around at dusk it all kinda blends with nature

Up the hill from it is CBC hill another small building but it grows a field of wild daffodils in the spring it’s super pretty. That's a great idea to get the tour companies collecting trash! When I lived in my 4runner in Squamish I used to include cans and bottles as part of my food foraging regime, then take the money from them to buy oats and cinnamon and have a free meal with the blackberries or huckleberries. They should pay me to collect garbage too!

I’d say that last location that had a bunch of stuff still in it, definitely has all of the earmark signs of total abandonment, sadly… it’s always a strange paradox, in that, as amazing or even awesome as abandoned sites so often seem to be visually, especially when obvious signs of nature is taking everything back down to base elements, so too is it just another sad sign of a complete and total waste of material resources that SHOULD ALWAYS get repurposed, so at least all of them gloriously HUGE trees of yesteryear, weren’t all killed/cut/milled for lumber/timber, in vein.

Yo Dustin, I have a question for you if I may. What region/city/area of British Columbia is your favourite? I am a life long Albertan who loves B.C and I want to move to my dream spot, likely somewhere in the Kootenays.. But, I have never explored any of the Cariboo region, I have never been through 100 mile to PG before. A former trucker and lifelonger hollidayer in B.C I have been to most of the southern destinations from Sparwood to Victoria. I also have been through Clearwater via hwy 5 and I believe I need to explore more of the interior before making up my mind. My wife doesn't really like the towering mountains of the south. I think somewhere around 100 mile would be perfect as I could live near great fishing and she wouldn't be all twigged out by the tall mountains. Anyway sorry about the long rant here. Love your vids man. I feel like you and Foresty Forest need to cross paths.

The Cariboo is a beautiful place to retire. The only complaint I have, is that there’s no opportunity for a person like myself. If I was retired tho, I’d be fishing and hiking every day.

@@Destination_Adventure sweet, thanks for the reply Dustin. I'm a few years away from retirement (hopefully not if I win the lottery lol) but I am an arborist, a profession that will make me a comfortable living out there.
