Just stumbled upon your video of this beast. I just purchased a 2001 Transam this past weekend for $400 bucks at a custom auto shop. The teenager that owned the car blew the original Ls1 and made a deal with the owner to take it off their hands for next to nothing. That's when I stumbled upon it on Facebook marketplace. The engine, transmission and ttops were missing. But fortunately for me I have a LQ4, 4L60 and ttops already. I will be adding a 88mm turbo also. You got yourself a new subscriber bub.

theres a fan belt that is a qwuick change and it eliminates your AC you can change it and gain the extra pwoer then change it gack after racing before you drive home think about it ? it might help with just enough extra power to put you over that wall

When the a/c is off it doesn't effect power at all. That's a free spinning pully with the a/c off...

Very nice ! That is a fast car 9.7 is no joke , I can't believe that the 4L60 is holding up the input and output shafts are to small , my friend was snapping them like toothpicks , then he did a 4L80 conversion problem solved but 10k later !

I have to admit if I could start over I would have gone 80. Like most things related to car modifications my intentions were not as crazy back then. After I added a few things to the trans it just made more financial sense to stick with it. It does have billet input and output shafts though.

LegitStreetCars I do have to admit my friend has a supercharged Tahoe and I believe like an idiot he finally admitted he took all torque management out, that's why he was snapping shafts plus all that weight doesn't help , he even snapped a $1000 output shaft from Raptor and when that snapped it locked up and broke his , rear posi unit , center diff chain, and front diff busted , nightmare, Your car is very impressive! Very clean and stock appearing , it's not a noise maker,everything makes perfect sense, i would never believe its a mid 9 second car just by sight

I remember this 4 years ago. Now I watch Cletus clean clocks with a not so daily driverish El Camino with twinturbskis and a 427 cid lsx run 7's like its nothing, driving 400 miles from track to track for a week up in the mountains where there is no air and it's over 100 degrees. Just WoW!

I have a 2006 Pontiac GTO, stock everything. I love it to death, and plan on adding more power to it one day. If it somehow ever craps out on me, I think I want a trans am. They are the coolest looking cars I think I’ve seen.

Beautiful Car bro..I had a Black WS6. But when I was going through a,divorce I went and raised hell in it and blew the engine.😭😭. It started knocking and so after that I sold it. I loved that car..more then my Ex wife even..I wish Pontiac would come back..

Have a 2014 2SS Camaro with 1000 RWHP. 416 Stroker, Whipple, NOS, etc... I think you did a good job on your Trans Am.

Nice got a 99 WS6 Auto. Been working on it for last couple years MSD Automic air force manifold intake MSD 104 mm throttle body MSD fuel rails and 36PSI injectors , FTP 104 mm air lid, TSP highlift hot cam kit, TSP 3 1/4 headers catted Y-pipe with catback sppedtech high density tune. Im right at 400Hp at the wheels. Was looking at suspension and breaking + backend next. Stock Tranny just did a rebuild has 4500 miles after. 234k miles. Yours is dope was hoping to throw a procharger on it to down the line.

3.25 gears must kill on the highway i had a black 99 auto with a raptor hood black with yellow calipers and nostrils it was badass houston tx area. I also had 98 6 speed black. 02 ws6 black all fully loaded. I want another one that or a ls7 2013

Nice car man!! It's kind of rare to see a full weight F-Body to run 9's in the 1/4 mile. Even more rare with a 4L60 still in it. Overall.. Nice build! Hope to see more videos with it.

I miss my T/A....Stock block, PRC Stage 2.5 LS6 heads, Texas Speed Tsunami cam, 1 7/8" Texas speed headers, ls6 intake, 250 shot of nitrous....spun a rod and parted it out :/

i really love your car, its clean , i picked up a supercharged 00 ws6 about 8 months ago that i'm in the middle of building , i sold the vortech blower kit to fund the new 383 bottom end and going to be running trickflow heads and a fast intake set up, then the next step for me going to be running either a on3 or huron speed turbo kit , hopping to build a 9 sec driver . watching your t/a gives me hope lol

Not bad man. 2001 ws6 with D1 supercharger here. around 700hp conservative and I daily drive it also. I don't drag race it at those numbers auto is a must and I love my stick too much. Was thinking of swapping for a 88mm turbo this winter since I have had offers on my supercharger. Was wondering how much the setup cost without the turbo K member. Little tired of swapping out pulleys everytime I want more or less boost lol

This is a badass car man always loved the Ws6 cars I wanna turbo mine soon I have a 99 camaro z28 hugger orange mine just has headers exhaust n cam swapped now wanna boost it when get money that’s badass though man that you make that much power n can still drive every day hopefully you get that monster running in the 8’s. I know it’s a 8 second car 9 is still good for something you able to drive everyday this is a hellcat killer let’s see this raost a demon though 👍
