@@monaro-azz 1000hp is actually relatively easy,i think scania 730/770 and volvo 750 may be 1000hp just by software or chip 'tuning'. I think that these 1000+ trucks in these vids have a lot more than 1000,some more than 1500hp. That is more difficult and very expensive.
Doesn’t have shit to do with the intercooler or tune lol. Black smoke is unburnt diesel fuel, he’s got the fuel rail pressure turned up so he can “ roll coal” because idiots think it’s cool looking but the reality is you actually lose power doing it.
@@wrzl1675 unburned fuel is caused by too much fuel to the amount of air in the chamber, a better intercooler would mean more air (cooler air is denser) thus reducing unburned fuel, and i would consider changing fuel pressure changing the tune of the engine, its a more analog approach but one nonetheless
You must be an American. American cars, trucks and most everything you build is slapped together and poorly engineered. One rung up the ladder from China. As a mech. engineer I've seen a lot of crappy engineering, but mainly in China and the U.S.
@@antonfloor344 I take it you are not a Volvo man LOL. Listen Anton, since i have been a little kid i've been travelling on Volvos with my dad country to country. I have grown to love the Volvo trucks, so being a very good truck it's also a bonus for being on my top list mate.
@@ClaudioSilva-rv9zb Freightshaker? Volvo? No Scania are great Trucks. Freightshaker and Navistar sell poorly in Australia. Peterbuilt not sold, Mack is an off shoot of Volvo
That would be nice, but theres too many bureaucratic politicians who get all butt hurt over the emissions. Just look at states like California and the CARB bullshit. Its nothing but a money grab, and they're forcing alot of truckers out of business. Either buy a new rig that's emissions compliant, or update the one you have. That's it. Alot of smaller companies and independent guys are gonna end up screwed over this type of legislation.
Diesel smoke is like the only woman on a deserted island with 20 guys. Chase it because you got to be the first to tame it. Nothing better than diesel some in the morning. Like a double latte for diesel truck lovers. Big question is does it get better than 7.2mpg when loaded. As Macho man Randy Savage would say “ohh Yahhh”.
Weight? Lol. 1. It's empty 2. It's a short wheelbase pulling a tiny trailer. 3. It's got low profile tyres, thus reducing the amount of weight it can carry anyway.
