According to Musk, Tesla aims to build these robots at a volume of $10,000 per unit and sell them for $20,000, projecting a staggering $1 trillion profit.
Tesla has recently announced that it already has two Optimus robots working autonomously in its factories. Musk has also indicated plans to start selling these robots to customers next year.
At the shareholder meeting, Musk announced that he expects Tesla to have between one thousand to a couple thousand humanoid robots operational in its factories next year. However, he has acknowledged a delay in the previously shared timeline for this rollout.
