There's setting within Complementary shaders that allow you to just turn off the emissive ore blocks, thay way you can keep the shaders on without cheating!

Ok so I know the longer videos are more time consuming for you to edit but I absolutely loved it and I think it’s really worth it. It felt like watching an episode of a tv show with the way you edit, like when you were in the nether I was actually on the edge of my seat because of the threatening music you chose for that scene. As for the shaders, personally I prefer the look of complementary as it’s more moody and I feel like it fits the medieval style of your world better. The village is looking absolutely gorgeous, can’t wait for it to grow even more ! And congrats again on 1000 subs :)

I personally love complimentary shaders, I find bliss shaders a bit hazy. Also, if you are going to use Distant Horizons mod in the future, both shaders are compatible. Keep up the great work!🎉🎉

Do a mixture. As a spectator I'm see the world from your pov. Complementary shade make look like summer and it too bright. While the bliss makes it more like spring so the lighting is more softer. So in short complementary work better in Forrest area and bliss would work better for meadows and river biomes

Another great video Figgsy - loving how your world is coming together. I don't really watch much Minecraft content but there's something about your relaxed story telling that I love about the channel. Regarding video length, I would say your usual length is good for the majority of videos, but then an extended one like this where you're grinding out the world are also nice every now and then. Keep it up!

And later on the somewhat threatening nether part... I told it before, but I have to express it once again in this special episode: I think you have a really unique style of doing this videos. The mix of let's play and being in an episode of an intense and emotional television show is great! The cinematic parts really gets me and I can feel the world you're imagining... Well done! :-) Regarding the shaders: I like the complementary more. I agree with you, that's the atmosphere is better and it's a bit more vanilla (which I like). I personally don't like the glowing ores... I find it a bit ugly looking and it's a bit cheating I think. But I wouldn't judge someone for using it. Oh, and I like how the town is developing. The small spaces between the buildings are great. It gives a quiet realistic medieval feeling. A lot of progress! Good job. i like the glowy ores honestly

From my view bliss cranks up the colours, which I prefer in this video. The rain looks better too compared to complementary. Complementary seems to play more towards the realistic side of things, with not being as aggressive on the colours - and really shining with the clouds in the distance compared to bliss. Based on this video, i prefer watching it with the bliss shader. Lastly, and although it's a form of feedback from the viewers and adjustment from your side, i think that you're making the last call. What you enjoy playing with most, will spill over to your viewers because you'll be more authentic and honest. You're the one playing and working, therefore you should also enjoy it the most which in return will contribute to long-term success for you.

Videos between 25 and 30 minutes are a good time to watch and as for the shaders! Complementary shaders are by far the best. Good job on the video mate. Congratulations on the 1000 subs well deserved.

Sadly no leather horse armor does not prevent the horse from sinking into powder snow. I also use Complementary shaders, the "Reimagined" version specifically. As far as I know that does not require that much GPU usage and you can choose between the "Reimagine" or the "Unbound" look. BTW you can still use this shader while mining if you turn off the ore highlighting feature. In the shaders menu there is a button called "Shader Pack Settings" and there you can set all sorts of stuffs for the shader that is currently in use. I'm pretty sure there is an option to turn ore highlighting off! And yes it's pretty much cheating 😆at least for me. My personal experience is that viewers prefer shorter episodes like 10 minutes long videos or so. 30 minutes is just way to long for a gameplay. If a video isn't about some drama or some space or military related in-depth explanation stuff then not much people will get hyped. I used to put out 30 minute long play through videos on one of my channel and I don't have to say how it performed 😅. So yea. I would say shorter is better.

Longer videos are good as long as your overworking yourself. And like bliss more but the majority of the vote will go for complementary 😅

Grats on the 1k, it's an exciting milestone :) I think Bliss is better for RU-vid, it's brighter and clearer - makes watching easier. Complimentary seems a bit dark as a viewer although I know it's really gorgeous in-game. I do love the longer format but honestly the shorter vids are also great to watch. You-tube burn out is a thing so make the vids the length that is most fun and sustainable for you.

I love this episode! The video editing was amazing and the soundtracks were awesome!! Congrats on 1k subs! You deserve it!! P.S. I don't like talk of cheating in Minecraft. Minecraft is a sandbox game and in 1.21 Mojang removed the "Enable Cheats" button. They renamed it to "Enable Commands". You are already using shaders to make the game look better and even using Optifine to make your torch bright in the dark could be counted as cheating or using Optifine zoom and increase render distance. Minecraft is a sandbox game. There is no right or wrong way to play. And saying that one play style is cheating is just gatekeeping and very annoying. I do love your content don't get me wrong but this mentality of cheating in a single player sandbox open world RPG is just very frustrating. In fact, Mojang consider iron farms, gold farms, and using the Nether roof to be cheating but they still let people do it. So this just goes to show that there is no such thing as cheating unlless of course you are on a server or playing a game like MCC. Then it's different. But congrats on 1k subs. You deserve it. I love your videos. But you should remember it's your world your rules. Don't let anyone make you feel bad for enjoying the game however you want!
