Those guys remind me of home. Gotta love it and the thing about the cape is accurate, grew up with that Rt6 mess and went back there in June and was laughing about the exit numbers. No one was happy about that.
That ultrasonic machine is awesome! We use something similar in size by Omegasonics to clean our firefighter gear. You can even blue a gun in one besides clean parts or tools! They have different kinds of baskets & sizes too.
Was in a shop like that, took a 67 John Deere block in top was ruff they planned it down just right. They were working on race cars, boring out pistons stuff I never dreamed of.
I like listening to the shop guys talk. They have a passion for what they do, and they talk like you would expect to hear in that environment. Great video on a lost and dying trade.
The head stitching guy you’re talking about in Millbury Massachusetts is Frank Casey. An older gentleman who is an absolute genius when it comes to that. I’ve had him stitch everything from Minneapolis Moline diesel engine heads to power stroke heads he’s unreal how good he is. Magna flux crack testing, the whole 9 yards
when you're in a shop, the F-word is sometimes the only modifier severe enough to accurately describe some people's stupidity. I had my Mercedes diesel rebuilt in a shop up in Boston back in the 80's. 2 old Czech guys. I pulled the block myself. They loved it because I put all small parts in glass jars. I also hadn't been sworn at like that since I'd gotten out of the Army.
First off I like your videos you show the meat and potatoes of what you are doing. The guys at shop were great on cam I am glad they didn’t girl it up by not swearing they are just who the are. I know you are going to get mad at me but need more of Mr, Yenko he is the man. Keep these videos coming I am sure it’s not easy but I appreciate them,
Really awesome that you got this place and these guys on a video. Well done Mr. Duffy and Thanks to them for being so dang cool, wish there were more guys like them around
Nice I can see your pumped awesome. My sons know all about your engine. We have two p400 6.5 turbo engines here brand new. One is going in a truck soon. Old school is not gone my son is 26 and very talented my other son 37 also very talented. Enjoyed your video Mr Duffy have a good night.
I would love to learn stuff like this. I know of how to do some of this stuff but don’t know how to do it(if that makes sense) would definitely do some kind of apprenticeship in a place like this.
Hey Duffy can't wait to hear that thing fire up going to sound mint whats the name of the place good plug for them i need a motor done got a old big block mopar
Plug the shop! Maybe not though with how people are...thanks for posting though! Mind explaining what all was done? Did the motor blow or are you just looking for more power?
Hey Kid, I originally tuned in because you were wrenching on the same year duramax that I have. After that I got hooked on the farming videos. Please keep it up cant wait to see the truck running!
I doubt you have to worry about us too much. It's RU-vids demonetizing bot you have to worry about. Great video, can't wait for the build. Take care and God bless!
I happen to think that exit numbering is excellent and very logical! What happens when you add an exit? Renumber everything? If you know that it's miles from the beginning of the road/state border, and you are wanting Exit 25, when you see Exit 10, then you know instantly that you have 15 miles left to go. Having them numbered by order helps no one, because it's basically random then. In other words, it may be one mile between exit 9 and exit 10, and then 15 miles to exit 11. And then when you add an exit between exit 10 and exit 11, what do you call it? Do you have change every other exit, making all the businesses and maps change their directions? Or do you name it Exit 10 A and 10 B and so on? But by naming the exit according to the Post Mile (what the sign or paddle on the side of the road says), it is never going to change, and as new exits get added to new developments, they just get named according to the mile they are in. At least in some areas, if multiple exits are in the same mile, they will do 10A and 10B etc, but that's relatively rare except in cities, and the most I have seen is to C or D before they hit the next mile.
Engine looks good they said a 1000 hp they did that with out reworking the heads like porting out the heads for better flow they sure have everything in that shop to do a bang up job should make your truck scream.
I’m very happy for you that you got your motor back. Looking forward to seeing you break it in and once it’s broke in to see the first HAMMER TIME !!! Hehehehehe. As always WORK SAFE 😎😎🇺🇸🇺🇸
Them two old guys would tell some stories of crap that comes into the shop. They would be like W T F did he do. Can't wait to hear that dirty max fire up.
it is sad its dieing it reminds me of my days being an appretice in one of these places when it was fun and educational and cool unlike now im so glad i dont work for a company i see the life drained out of people today working in places now so sad
Nothing wrong with swearing. Just means the video is less likely to be monetised. If people can't handle swear words they shouldn't be on the Internet. We made it to get away from snowflakes.
I was a mechanic for forty years and now I’m a truck driver,,,, I swear constantly lol. It’s just who I am now and probably won’t change so no it doesn’t bother me I just it was normal
Old school Cool ? They Just know From Years of Fails and Successes. There's just the science of experience. You don't think they Tried thing ? You Bet your Bippy they did. That's why they know, It's like listening to the earth. It's the source Think ?
If they can't handle the language at the machine shop then they don't belong here. I'm surprised that they don't have some bikini calendars on the wall around the equipment for inspiration like most good shops do. 😂😂
But why? Now you'll have an unbelievably unreliable truck... 300-400 horse is plenty of power for a 1 ton Diesel pick up and can be easily achieved with bolt on mods and still be reliable...
I completely agree, but dizzle truck guys cant be reasoned with lmao. If you're going to hotrod it at least have a second vehicle thats left original for a backup when it breaks. If i had to service and maintain that much farm equipment on my own the last thing i want to do is make my personal vehicle more unreliable. I dont mean to be negative. I hope it's fixed and runs great again. Just go easy on it with the trailer hooked up.
Only ever seen that in race engines because changing the headgasket size changes the compression of the cylinders, unless he changed the length of the stroke or pistons
Looks like the perfect shop I would want to go to Everything looks like organized chaos You dont want to go to a shop that too clean (unless it's your manufacturers shop cause then tend to hold rules above the shop keepers heads on that)
