Which is why you build your engine around your shortcomings so to speak, it’s idiotic to have a huge turbo and not build an engine to match that rpm hang range to reduce lag
Yeah that was horrible. Really makes me reconsider going big build. 450-500 max. It took him 3 gears to catch pass him. If it was a different faster car it would look worse.
Are we taking into consideration that the camera car maybe a 450 hp car and that snail 🐌 in that Evo took a mighty long time to spoil up I say it’s around 800 or more it’s Rocken a parachute also, give a couple props for that 😂
It's probably tune to do highway pools or he didn't want to launch it and messed something up😅. But you're right, he's got a big snai...l that was a big lag
@@rileyramsey6521 I agree but I don't see 1000hp in that video. Maybe it puts up good numbers on a dyno but anything that size with close to 1000hp is gonna show torque
@@DRich17 I'd also say that that didn't look like a 1000, And if it was 1000 it was lagged out as shit And probably wasn't pushed enough in the video to get past 650-700 range. But top end, I say that Car could be making a 1000 horsepower and about 920+ ft pounds
@@DRich17 That and I'd also say at that Power he'd have to have the all wheel drive system upgraded slightly more than stock. They're good in those cars probably to about 700hp. My cars AWD system (1995 Eagle Talon TSI=Evo 3 AWD system) is good for about 600hp stock. Stock block is good for a 1000 and the internals are good up 500hp. And that's from factory. (1991 starting) They are incredibly underrated engines

1000 whp don't look fast on evos cause of how short their gears are so constantly shifting makes it seem slow. Tape him on a 4th gear pull and see how he lays that power down.
@@selimkantar1357 yea that’s true he has to re build all that boost back up so it’s just never hitting full boost unless he does it from a low rpm, plus he’s doing a pull with someone so it’s hard to estimate his true power but still nice car!🤙
@@gojanimartinbrake rotor sizes don’t change your stopping distance, it just dictates how many times you can stop. It’s a heat sink, brake pads and tires help with stopping.
The ej is a small 4 cylinder 2.5 L. it cannot produce enough exhuast gasses to maintain 1000hp. It produces 1000hp at like 7.5k rpm and for a very short time, and it needs 60 psi to achieve it. Most of the time it’s at around 700whp.
People dont understand its a drag car 2 things this guy could have done - Brake boost to build pressure and launch Or started from a dig and 2 stepped it
