Let it go, these aren't NA motors. When a boosted 5.0L coyote on takes out a NA 7.0L LS ford guys say same thing as you. Hardly any difference in displacement, don't stoop down to brand loyalty, real enthusiasts like them all in different ways as you see a Japanese Nissan with a Chevy engine. That guy clearly isn't brand loyal lol don't be that middle school kid "my dad's chevy is cooler than your dads ford." Or vise versa.
Street Science never disappoints. They always bring that hot fire straight from hell and hell is hot. As soon as I click on the video I automatically hit the like button cause I know I will be entertained by their footage. That 350Z was out of there. Picking the 4 8 od the tried and true 5 3 is a smart move if you are the type that likes revving to 9K. Really nice video guys all the races were well captured and fast. Keep up the good work.
@@slowvq9371 sorry bro ur not allowed to call mustangs shitty when u own a VQ, know ur place peasant. Have fun with ur 200hp trumpet tin can. The 350z is the only fast one on the planet and needs an LS to win bc it’s original motor is fuckin trash and weak
I had that car w a custom candy paint job. Stage 3 clutch, intake, racing headers, cam, stabilizer bars etc. I can’t imagine that car w 1k hp. I would be scared as hell to drive it. Just doesn’t have enough to hold it down imo. You have some balls not to have a 12 inch wing on that 350. I could feel mine coming up w just around 550hp. Be safe man and GET A WING AND SAND BAGS!!
Baby LS on boost, what is it about the 4.8 and turbos, I’ve seen other cars with similar set up surprising people. I really thought the ZL1 was out of his league but didn’t do that bad, those are some sick Mustangs, somebody got some $$ boosting the shit out of a GT350, don’t see that every day.
The title is precisely why I would like to have my 2016 Genesis Coupe 3.8 LS swapped someday. The 3.8 can reach 500 to 600whp with a built engine, but that is even more expensive and less reliable than an LS would be. Based on all the research I did on cars in 2020 and 2021. I wish I knew how much people are spending to do LS swaps.
That would be nasty, but those 3.8s are fun cars, they’re a very even match for my G37 sedan. I have given it some thought too, if the VQ ever quits but 140k and still not a problem.
Depends on what motor you start with and the parts you choose. People do junkyard style builds and some don't. I am almost done with the 5.3 ls swap with twin turbos in my 350z, and it isn't cheap.
The front view to the TT, n20, and whipple highway throw down…HOLY CRAP THAT WHITE MUSTANG NEEDS THEM DAMN HOOD-PINS. The hood was fluttering heavily and i hope the owner has fixed it
They weigh about 32-3300 stock, iron block 4.8 and plumbing might add 100 lbs, and he might have weight reduction going on, I’d say under 3500 definitely maybe less
@@streetsciencetx no doubt! And it’s a reminder of how important weight is. I’m tempted to throw a front skinny and drag brakes on my set up to be able to beat a plaid 60-130.
Na must be low boost. My buddy had a gen 5 whipple 3 liter on a stock unopened motor and trans and does 60-130 in the mid 4s and runs high 8s in the 1/4 on 19 pounds. No way in hell that whipple had anywhere near that
@@hassanosman523 Exactly what I was thinking. My car has ran a best of 4.7 60-130mph on 18psi in the street starting in 5th gear. I’m sure that at a track where I could start in 3rd it’ll be a 4.5. Add skinnies and drag brakes 4.3-4.4 at the same boost level.
@@OG.Pancho.Villa. well if you put a twin turbo coyote on a fox body on low boost it would do the same thing or imagine a turbo coyote on 1800 pound civic imagine on low boost imagine??🤔🤔
Your ls was fast because is on a lighter car. I thought mustangs should race Camaros but i guess they need smaller (lighter) cars or Corvette to keep up with coyotes.
