Thanks for sharing! Yeah those relay sockets.. anysand, salt, or moisture that makes its way past the headlights end up in there... On my previous XM, I put some waterproof sockets there. So embarrassing, when you have to get out of the car to jiggle relays because the lock out relay of the automatic gearbox prevents you from starting! :-) My current one only has one relay there. Are those windscreen wipers working for you? I had some that would start flopping about above 80 km/h
Yeah tell about it :D Even though the placement of the relays isn’t good I think that the biggest issue is the material that they used as seal between the grill and the lights since it rots away. Waterproof relay sockets would be best. Unfortunately, I could not find them at that point of time.
I totally forgot to answer to your wiper question. I know what you are talking about, my brother’s XM does the same thing with the Frame type of blade. I believe that I have Valeo HU55 blades fitted and they have excellent pattern and they aren’t lifting when the speed increases. I still have this other issue with my wiper motor, which is causing stiff movement of the wipers sometimes. I guess that it has something to do with the relay or the current.
