The bow probably draws a lot more than 100lb at 35' also he is using the long bow technique where he puffs his chest and slightly bends over and that stance uses a lot more back muscles than the normal stance
@@363.2McMastersYou are exactly right. I've seen lots of little old guys who pull back 80, 90, 100 pound bows. And alot of very big, very strong guys who can't. Technique is everything in archery. This guy has been making archery videos of himself pulling back 100+ pound bows for years, and he's made it clear that it's all in the technique.
Why are you taking this guy seriously? Why is this guy showing up on my feed all of a sudden What a joke I'm gunna have to have a word with management!
Depends on the area. Some people were way better with bows and manufacturing them than others vary quickly in human development. Differnt cultures had Differnt bows amd they had wild doffernt learning curves. Same function, diffently style.
@@Frostynes but if you think ab how evolution works and dominance within tribes , the men that were better at making/shooting a bow would more likely get to breed bc of their ability to survive and hunt. So the offspring would be better suited for using a bow, and it would get better with each generation. Like selective breeding caused by the life they live
@@humpty6838 yes that’s heavily apparent with the Vikings. I was being sarcastic because he literally stated the obvious. I almost called him captain obvious but there’s far too many captains already holding his position on this app. The person I was talking about was actually a Japanese samurai who could “sink a boat with an arrow” from a deformity of one arm being longer than the other. But he was caught and they cut his tendon. Back on topic how do you think we get innovations like the cross bow ? People doing what guy said above, so I thought it was just known that people try to be better. Apparently not.
Itd be a cool video if you showed a close up of the ring on the string (rhyme king, can't stop me) and showed us exactly how it works. As always it's fun watching your vids, keep it up man.
I have a 74 inch Osage bow with a draw weight of 80 at 32 inches. It’s not impossible to draw heavy bows, just got to know how to activate your shoulder muscles. This man absolutely shredded that drawback, quick and efficient. Don’t listen to all these people that can’t do what you do.
And you didn't explain a single thing on how it works. You just showed it to us and expected us to know what it what is and what it's supposed to do..... You're really smart at making videos....
Little bit more context on thumb rings, they are for a thumb draw specifically, which is a completely different discipline from the target style archery you'd probably first learn and shoot at a range.
The assembled war party gasp in admiration. "Very nice." Bate'mann leans back in his saddle. "Picked 'em up from the craftsman yesterday." "Good colouring." "That's bone."
Alot of ancient Asian armies were known for archery. The Samurai, originally, were known for being incredibly deadly archers. That is how they rose to prominence. It wasn't until much later in feudal Japan that they became known for their swordsmanship. But during a time when melee combat was the manner in which battles were fought, those who could accurately engage and kill an enemy at a distance were an incredibly valuable asset to any army.
Edit: Seen a lot of shooting in my day and that was way too easy, I thought that it was a 40-50lbs bow, was thinking “no way it’s 100!”, after looking deeper into your content, impressive is all I can say. Very cool stuff.
Nice! I have a leather and a brass but I get my first horse bow from deerseeker tomorrow! I'll finally get to use them properly. Do you like the horn better?
That was terrifying to watch, I was expecting even a little struggle, just like a split second of resistance or anything but you pulled it back like there was no string!!
Yeah, I make bows all with hand tools. As in I chop down the huge tree, split the trunk into staves, carry it out of the woods on my shoulders and draw knife them into bows so I'm as strong as a country horse. I myself shoot an 80lb white ash bow and it ain't easy to draw it to 26 inches. So I'm finding it hard to believe that that bow is 100lbs at 30.
@@buckfuhtt2083 no shit, right?!? I'm the pope if that's a 100lb draw bow. Id say I'm above average in strength/overall much bigger than this guy and my 75lb hickory @ 28 is quite the pull
People are clowning this guy for pulling a 100 lb’r then you realize malnourished dudes hundreds of years ago pull this shit with their guts hanging out and raided castles and still had better accuracy than most of us on here 🤣
Bruh. You just pulled that 100lb at 30 like it was a children’s toy with an elastic string. You must do this all day every day. I can only imagine how casually you could pull a guy in by the collar.
I'm a small guy, I had a hard time drawing a 46# at 26 inches. I think the average is around 50# at 30 inches. I'm mind blown that he can draw 100# so easily. The thumb ring definitely helps, though.
If that was truly a 100 lbs holyshit sir.... I've been turkey hunting for years with a 55lb and it 41 my shoulders are starting to feel it a little bit.. I can't imagine drawing something like that unless I was shooting for a grizzly... Hats off to you👍
Been lifting weights and shooting horsebows for years and still my shoulders would scream like rusted hinges if i grabbed a 100 lbs bow hah. All i shoot is 50's. Nice job man that was smooth 🏆🏆🏆
While watching this video I remembered the movie war of the arrows where the Manchuria commander said to his brother that I thought there bows are weak but he miss judge the draw weight by the size of this bow this is very thin looking bow no one will believe it is 100 lb pull weight 😮😮
Impressive how you get that 30in draw by compensating the string to your ear. I sincerely ask, has that ever caused any shoulder or elbow problems? Great stuff btw.
