I grew up around his hometown. 53 years old now purchased 3 bikes frome his dad and Chris was walking around as a kid selling bikes then lol. He's so good because he lives bikes. honestly.. i think the two brothers sounds better than graves and/or akrapovic in my opinion. and the color in this R1 is amazing. never been a yamaha guy, but the old school color combo is fire
They all sound the same… shorter exhaust is louder and longer pipes are a little quieter. The engine dictates the sound not the exhaust brand X,Y or Z.
I think it the two brothers exhaust sounds fine I mean it's an R1 the sound of the CP engine's are great, it's hard to fuck that up but I'm not a fan of the shorty exhausts systems in any brand. I want an R1!!! That is horrible luck with the tank fairing.
My cheap rear stand failed and my r1 hit the tank of a vstrom sitting beside it (2 weeks ago) big ole dent in my mint black 11' tank.. not the trim.. the tank. In addition to the front nose and zero gravity windscreen and front stay. now thats sad but, she all back together and 1 dented tank later still just as great as before with a tiny bit more character Needless to say, she sits on pitbull stands only here on out
Sucks, ordered my PB stand w removable handdle last week bc one of my spool mounts on the swingarm got damaged from road debris and I needed a stand w no spools from here on out. The spool only rickety multi-piece garbage in my garage now reeks of sketch. I recommend everyone watch the making of pitbull stands video detailing the engineering/build quality side of things.
I guessed 169hp stock and 185hp after flash. I was close. I didnt care for the sound. I think the Graves system sounds awesome on these. The looks are awesome though! Retro Yami !!!! Although Im not a street Yami fan! I'm Zook Nation Busa! and Kawi knee dragger!
@@intricategod3216 You know, there's nothing wrong with Yamaha's can. If you drop the horrific box and put in the link tube, it will sound awesome and make the power if that's what you're looking for.
Good looking bike 👍 the two brothers doesn't sound bad. Im guessing the cams may be different, more lift, duration, & or different pistons for higher compression. Definitely a sweet ride!

You show this throttle table all the time and how the requested throttle position is reduced at low and high RPMs even at 100% physical throttle, but isn't that an adaptive throttle table? In other words it is variable based on fuel quality, elevation, and weather conditions? I was under the impression with modern vehicles these values are always moving around based on conditions.
Can I send my ecu to you for that tune ? I have the 2022 R1 I need that extra horsepower. Is there anyway I can send a deposit and have you send a stock ecu so I can ride while you do your thing or can you sell me the tune and teach me how to upload it to the bike...? Your a hell of a tuner.
That bike is sick. So, just on an ecu flash it picked up 21 hp? Nice. I'm looking at this spec btw. Used to have a 19 RSV4 Factory. Looking at getting back on another bike.
I'd like to make 200+ HP but need some more go fast parts. Though it's a full header to pipe cat delete exhaust... No spark arrest... It's amazing sounding. And so short I love it. But I need it to run smoother and unrestricted access to the power on my wrist. Gimme HP!!!! Jk but for real how do I get the tune and what do you charge . ? Does it come on a thumb drive.. email... I have a really good laptop... I just race em... Don't build em. But ECU flash I can handle I think . 🤞🤞

Do you think it's all euro4/5/epa that has them rolling the throttle closed near redline? I read a paper years ago about how the most stressful time for a rod/piston is when when the throttle slams shut under high rpm and load. Basically the combustion chamber loses it's charge of air when the throttle slams shut to make as much compression putting the rod/piston under a huge tension load.
