101 Easter Eggs from Obi-Wan Kenobi 

I love the fact that Ahsoka’s strike took Anakin’s left side portion of his mask, while Obi-Wan’s took his right side portion. But only Luke, his son and redeemer, was able to take the full mask of Vader off

A detail i really like about the “Hello there” is that it’s much more similar to Alec Guinness’ delivery from Episode IV than Ewan McGregor’s from Episode III. Less of a cocky playfulness, much more of a friendly gesture.

Not only does Leia echo Little Ani's "Will I ever see you again?", she does so in the exact same intonation.

I'm surprised you didn't mention Vader's announcement that "He" killed Anakin. This means that the "Certain point of view" Kenobi references in RotJ was Vader's

The references to Jedi Fallen Order were amazing, I hope to see Cal Kestis in live action with the other Jedi that were mentioned in the Obi Wan show

The way Vader stepped around while he fought Reva without a saber, reminded me of how Sideious was stepping around and effortlessly dodging Maul and Savage, without any ignited saber, during their duel in the Clone Wars.

The fact that Ahsoka and Obiwan are like the only 2 force users that can rival vaders power at this time is so cool to me. They each get a half of the helmet, but Ahsoka chooses to stay for anakin while obi wan lets him go. Says a lot about the feelings of a jedi and how Ahsoka isn’t one. I also just love all the call backs, the “then you will die”, both saying anakin when they see his face, even the framing of the beginning of the fight. Some people may think it copies too much but I think that seeing how outside of padme these were the two people he was closest to, it makes sense they would have similar confrontations. It also just makes anakin feel much more cold in the rebels fight because he has been through this before, all I can think is him having flashes of Obiwan when Ahsoka ignites her sabers. Really wish Ahsoka would’ve atleast been referenced seeing how much her duel with Vader influenced this fight.

Thanks for the shout out. Nyche and Corran actually appear in Eps 5 and 6, with Nyche using a blaster. I loved the series and look forward to seeing what else is up for the Horns as new shows roll out. With Corran being the same age as Luke and Leila, the possibilities are endless.

In Part 6, Luke says, "I'm not afraid". He said that again to Yoda in The Empire Strikes Back. It may have been mentioned earlier, but in A New Hope Han dismisses the Force as "simple tricks and nonsense." I wonder if Han met or heard about Haja's con-artist tricks?

Vader duel wielding the sabers in front of a kneeling Reva reminded me a lot of the same scene when Anakin disarmed and subsequently beheaded Dooku in RotS. I honestly was surprised at the time Vader didn’t lob off Reva’s head too.

As to the eopie's name, in the first issue of the new Obi-Wan Kenobi comic series, it is revealed that the eopie's name is Akkani. Perhaps Obi-Wan had more than one eopie throughout his time on Tatooine, but my favourite name is honestly Akkani, since it is very similar to Anakin.

Obi-Wan's slicing of Vader's helmet creates the scar we see on the top of his head when Luke removes the helmet near the end of RoTJ. I thought that was an excellent touch.

The fact that each episode mirror each movie was amazing and not something I had thought about before. Also, "Gungan snacks" becomes a lot darker if it doesn't mean "Snacks for Gungans", but rather "snacks made out of Gungans".

I've heard that Lola was named after a pet bird Carrie had when she was around the same age as Leia in the show, if that's true, I love that a lot

I dunno if its just me but for whatever reason I wasnt on the lookout for easter eggs this time compared to Mando and Book, possibly because of the time period it was in, but it was still a fun time recognizing a few stuff. Jabiim’s mention was neat as I remember the Jabiim story from Legends continuity. The main easter eggs that got me was in the initial Path safehouse because of the Aurebesh etchings. Some of the names mentioned are massive deepcuts that by this point I think would only mean something to the most diehard Legends fans.

When Lola's eyes turned red in episodes 4 and 5, it reminded me of BB-9E from the Last Jedi

When Leia asks Obi Wan if he is her father I took it as a subtle nod towards the line that the actual body actor for earth Vader spoke “No, Obi wan is your father” which was just said to persevere the secrecy of the twist on set

Old Obi-Wan's ghost tells Luke on Dagobah in ROTJ "He's more machine now than man. Twisted and evil." Now we know how he knew it. He's actually seen it.

I came up with an idea for a droid named DZ-13E, or Dizzy for short. He is a Droid that was once owned by the Empire, but got hijacked by Han Solo when he was 12.

Question for the next Q&A: Now that Reva is no longer seeking revenge against Anakin, what’s stopping her from finally succumbing to her stab wounds? I presume that Disney wants to keep her around for future stories (and I would also like to see what it looks like for a dark sider to actually live long enough to do some active redemption), but now that she no long has revenge propping up her will to live, how will she survive?

I love all the Jedi names throughout the Path. I would love to see Rahm Kota in canon!

7:07 After watching the full series, I'm not sure why they used her specifically rather than another Inquisitor we know was active at this point given how little she did, it's not like she was used as a cannon fodder Inquisitor. 8:45 I heard someone mention somewhere that after it became a running gag/ongoing reference in the modern films, it's always been Witwer and Collins voicing the pairs of Stormtroopers, is that true?

I enjoyed the saber battle a ton. It was a great follow up duel to Mustafar.

17:44 this shot of Vader’s face looks beyond similar to the demon they flash periodically in the original Exorcist! You know it looks like that.

A detail I liked was Obi Wan’s lightsaber form in that last duel. It signals his return to his former self before he fueled with Anakin the first time.

I love how they respect legends to such a deep extent even though they don't need too, they could have given Leia's relatives new names, but they put in the effort to stick to something that's not even canon.

Hats off for translating the aurabesh. I really like the little details like that and its not just meaningless symbols.

Easter Egg #1 is definitely my favourite and one I didnt notice at all lol. Each ep mirroring the vibe of the films is a great idea, and it definitely feels like that in hindsight, even down to how 1-3 feels a bit more actiony and fresh while 4-6 is very galactic civil war

I'm surprised that you fell for the "Padme's apartment" thing. Look at pics of Padmés apartment. It looks very different, as do the buildings surrounding it.

I also find the first fight between Darth Vader and obi-Wan Kenobi very reminiscent of the first fight between maule and Obi-Wan in the clone wars Some of the fighting styles and the lighting and the scene at the end with the fire reminds me a lot of the fight in the clone wars Even down to the fact that both Vader and maul tries to draw out Obi-Wan by killing random civilians And the shot of Vader standing in front of the fire reminds me a lot of the shot of Kylo Ren standing in front of fire in the opening scene of the force awakens

In ep 5, many of the stormtroopers of the attack on the base are from the 501st Legion, the costume club. They have a mention in the credits and ANH armor instead of the newer type first seen in Rogue One. This is the second time this has happened, as they were with Gideon's reinforcements in the last episodes of Mando s1. I hope this will keep up, as a fellow trooper in europe it's fun to see. :P

This was presented like a movie, but nobody 'had a bad feeling about this.' Minor quibble. Loved the show!

I know there's a bunch of references that i noticed and were not in this video,but the one i can think of right now is that we see Vader in the bacta tank a few times before the fight with Obi-wan and he doesn't have the scar on his head that we see in "Return of the Jedi" but after seeing Kenobi slashing his helmet right where that scar should be, we know now that's how he got it. Also right before the fight he says " i must face him, alone" just like he did on "A New Hope" Vader also uses the force to crack the ground and making a hole, putting himself on the high ground. After his mask is broken we can hear that weasel sound when he breathes just like in Rebels and Return of the Jedi. Vader tells Obi-wan that He did not kill Anakin Skywalker, that Vader himself killed him, which is what Obi-wan tells Luke when he asks what happened to his father.

They have dropped too many hints for Corran Horn, so either the show writers are messing with us or their hinting at Corran Horn in Star Wars Rogue Squadron. As much as I would like to see Denis Lawson reprise his role as Wedge Antilles (maybe he appears as a general?), I can see a new actor portraying a young Corran Horn.

How do the t47 speeders fly up to the base, hang there a minute, then fly away without a single tie fighter going after them? Why didn’t Vader use tie fighters when he was chasing that ship.

I am not the biggest fan of The Phantom Menace but dammit did I mark out when I saw Qui-Gonn appear here.

This may not qualify as an Easter Egg, but the moon Obi-Wan and Vader led on is a nod to Dave Filoni and the Last Airbender. Dave worked on that anime show and the showdown between Aang and the Fire Lord was fought among such rock formations. Even down to the throwing chunks of rock at each other.

The only thing that does not click in my head continuity-wise is why does Vader say in TNH to Obi-Wan that "When I left you I was but a learner. Now I am the master.".. Even if he means when they said goodbye before parting ways in ROTS, still as comrades, he was far from a learner's status by then.

The obi-wan having a brother is a reference to the Obi-wan books in Legends. I don't remember the name of the series, but back when he was an apprentice to Qui gon. After joining the Jedi he did visit his parents again once or twice. (think parent visitation days) On one of those visits he learned he had a non-forcesensative little brother. He mentions feeling disconnected from this family and that the Jedi and Qui-gon are more like a family to him. It being a little brother is most likely supposed to mirror Anakin becoming like a little brother to him in the future.

I tend not to associate Obi-Wan's "Alternatives to Fighting" line to A New Hope, but rather the Clone Wars microseries where he uses a bunch of tiny bombs to take out droid forces, making things less fun for Anakin because he couldn't just go in and slice them up.
