The most annoying thing in the world is when someone keeps waking you up in the middle of the best dream ever and you try to get back into it but It doesn’t always work
Twice I've dreamed a nightmare and whe trying to wake up I still had audio-visual hallucinations about the dream. The only way I could get my reality and dream separated was to go back to sleep.
I wonder where some of these 'facts' come from, and how they are proven. I remember when scientists decreed that you only dreamed in black and white. But I'd once had a dream where the brilliance of color had convinced me that I couldn't be dreaming. (Then I woke up.) Then the scientists who'd been smugly telling me for years I that I was only deluding myself that I had dreamed in color, decided that people could dream in color after all. Another dubious fact I've been hearing is that "every face you see in a dream is one you've seen before"--perhaps some stranger who strolled across your field of view when you were 7. What the evidence proving this would even look like, I can't imagine. The statement in the video that "you can't read or tell time" in a dream is interesting. When I was younger, I certainly couldn't read any writing I came across, but the last few years (I'm 62, if that matters) I've noticed that entire sentences and even paragraphs of text are now as easy to read as when I'm awake. Maybe someday scientists will explain that one to me.
Once, I went to sleep at 11 pm and slept for what I thought was 10 seconds but woke up at 8 am. I literally shut my eyes everything went black then 10 seconds later woke up the next morning! Crazy shit
omg i know that feeling like one time when i was like eight i stayed the night at one of my dad's friend's house, and i just got up and wandered around. i eventually got bored and fell asleep on the spot, standing up still.
Has anyone else had that moment when you're drifting to sleep and your brain starts wandering and dreaming of walking or running or something and then suddenly your leg moves and you nearly have a heart attack from the sheer shock of it. I have had that at least 2 times and it is freaky as hell.
Yeaaaah I was about to dream about a game of dodge ball at school then my reflexes went crazy I woke up 2 seconds later. A lot of spasms happened in 2 seconds!
I had a dream where I was laying in a tree and began to lose my balance, resulting in me waking up instantly with a jolt and I kicked my cat clear across the room.
I fell asleep and dreamed something really weird but awesome... Everytime I would die, I would "respawn" at my local supermarket. The dream lasted for 15 hours.... I should make a movie about this...
Oddly enough, this happened to me before, but in a different way. I was injured and got stabbed by some guy, everything going black and I actually felt my body fall as I went unconcious. When I died, there was a "respawn" menu (Similar style to the one in minecraft) where there was 2 options; "Quit Game" or "Respawn". If I tried to choose "Quit Game" my mind would tell me I wasn't able to. So I was stuck respawning into real life, experiencing different phases, all dying various ways only to respawn back at my bed, where I 'woke up' multiple times. Well, at least I believed I woke up. This, is why you need to keep a dream journal.
+101Facts Can I ask something? I had a dream which was realistic, I have had nightmares for a month now every day and they keep being realistic and that I will wake up not knowing what is real what is not. Anyways... The thing is, one of the dreams I had was about someone saying "You ruined it" and "She is an idiot" about me. I was reading it. I didn't hear it, I saw it. How is this possible?
+Alltime Conspiracies I am personally....dream traveler i use and practice Lucid technique for control dreams or that that he said those are basics..to be aware in dream?basic of basics i can even meet with other dream wonderer like in different dimension i can't explain the felling....is more high spiritual..there is also level that i reached an it's way high...that is if you can believe that is harder more then invade or enter in dreams of others!! I know it sounds fictional and weird but there are places that are design by others they live there not every night but you can't change strong illusions of other minds...but i can meet people that i never seen in my life...in future or never i find them or they me but...how on Earth do yo tell someone that you know him from your dreams?? I stuck there it has many other confusing things...lightly sad ,....but i enjoy in every dream it is new travels for me! and i had never had a same dream insane is dream art you guys...would love that...my worlds..we don't have technology at he moment to animate or draw for you others that places they are beyond epic... homes of many...scary old solid illusions of all kinds of minds.some people who there are those who can stuck if they can't control themselves... usually gifted ones with really really miserably lives ...or masters of dream art....they can snap they get really sick...we call that ''fall in torn apple's''...it's a thing when a dream is countless times more pleasure then realty.... like addicts....how ever giant temptation may be you must always know how to come back(wake up) pick any sound or find some kind of a trigger people can die in the dream too i am sure that all of you know that so how then is not another reality?beautiful and cruel like this one?...and yes we are mostly insane...we must be:D
Aidan Drinks Fluids it's not false its scientifically proven to be true but for some reason I can sometimes read too I always just thought it was part of the dream like your not actually reading you just think you are
I once dreamed that Voldemort chased me around my living room.. then he got so tired of running that he got himself a glass of water. I escaped through the window while he couldn't see me :,)
Once I had a lucid dream where i was just kinda floating there.. i said out loud "show me something scary" and was prepared to close my eyes and wake up. Instead, a little turtle showed up. I said "are you scary" and it exploded. I then woke up :(
I get reoccurring dreams all the time. And sometimes get a dream then when I go back to sleep a bit later it carries on and ends up being really weird.
1. I can read in my own dreams, it's just I can't remember what I read properly. 2. Am I the only one who dreams that I can speak and/or read foreign language(s) and when I wake up I forget?
lol wrong joseph in the Bible. There was another Joseph in the Bible and he was an interpreter of dreams. No hate lol this is actually the best video i’ve seen in a while
More times than I'd like to admit, in my waking life, I have déjà vu or feel exactly how I felt in a similar moment from a similar space in a dream. I also confuse conversations I've had with people in my awake life vs my dream life.
REM isn't pronounced by individual letters like the band rather spoken (rem). I have narcolepsy and last year I experienced dreaming while awake which happens with this disorder apparently. Its hard to explain to make it understood as very cool as it is on the other side of scary. My bf has gotten used to it but the first time it happened I almost jumped from his truck on the interstate because of a spider the size of a toddler I was seeing in the backseat. Before understanding it was a sleep disorder they diagnosed people with schizophrenia.
I woke up one day dreaming i had opened a knife in csgo, then i woke up, at first i was really happy!, then i realized it was a dream and i got depressed....
I had sleep paralysis a few times, one time with a scary voice yelling at me while I couldn't move, yea... also I've had exploding head syndrome a few times as well. Still better than a terminal illness, chronic mental disorder, etc.
Lol that happened once but I was lucid dreaming so I knew what was going on and I was like WHAT WILL BE MY TOMMOROWS DREAMS I didn’t have a dream the next day lol
Remembering a dream doesn't always mean ur dreams are lucid. You have to know for a fact that you are dreaming. Like for an example I always pinch my thigh and if it's numb then I know. Not saying ur dreams aren't lucid
Is it just me or does anyone have a dream that they think they already had before like last night ot smth or another night and then dream the exact same thing again, but it turns out you dreamed that one thing that whole night and it was literally 15 or 20 mins? Or maybe even 10 mins.
I dream in color and fly like I’m dog paddling ! Weird I taught myself during sleep while dreaming since I’ve been 4-5, after I got it perfecti! Then.... I used to fly away from killers and people chasing me ! I also go back into the same dream if I wake
Lol the Joseph you're talking about isn't Jesus' papa but Jacob's son... He's from the Old Testament (in Genesis) and although they have the same name they're not the same person. Who'd have known that two different people could have the same name!!!!! #whoops
I have been a gamer since 2 years old, and now am 18. I'm pretty sure I've had sleep paralysis multiple times but Ive been able to snap out of it. I guess years of mental discipline to cope with anxiety and panic attacks combined with the gaming allowing me for better control help.
i have sleep paralysis too and its scary. for me it lasts about 30 seconds but all i see is darkness. i cant move and its scary. sometimes i'll have an itch and can't move to scratch it. but for some reason when i think of the word 'jesus' it helps.
You actually can read in dreams, but the words/letters will always change from what you originally read to something else entirely. (I have experienced that)
The R.E.M. joke got annoying very fast. So annoying that I nearly gave up on being entertained by this video and was close to switching to something else.
I once had a dream that In my room there was a creepy doll that I was gonna throw out the next day. I went to sleep and nightmares about lots of dolls. Then I threw it out. Had some coffee, went to school, came home, then actually woke ip
I once dreamed about going to Disney World for one of my 🎂, next year on my 🎂, i got a card from my Aunt saying that i would be Going to Disney World for my 🎂. It was a good dream
It's frustrating because I do reality checks in reality, and then I do them in dreams, and they somehow check out. I then proceed to behave as if it is reality, and when I realize that my body feels heavy, I think "hm, it feels like a dream, but it can't be, because I checked, and I'm acknowledging the fact that I could be dreaming, so I must be awake." I then wake up and feel immensely irked with myself. I've also thought "this must be a dream!" at the end of a nightmare, before waking up and realizing it was. I can't help but wonder if the meta qualities of my dreams is reflecting how characters in my books will casually acknowledge the fourth wall...
My dreams are usually very chaotic, and for some reason I never died in a single one of them. And if I were about to die, I usually just start a new dream or just appear in a different part of the dream.
I once had a dream I was riding a Charizard down the hallways of my elementary school, we crashed, it died and then the dream ended. FYI, I'm done with high school, I haven't been in my elementary school in a good 9 years. Random as fuck.
I remember when I was about 5 living in the village ,I dreamed that I met a zombie and became friends. Until it ripped my ear off with his mouth and ran into the forest and mayhem was caused everywhere. Then I woke up to Winny the Pooh
I remember a lot of my dreams and they strongly effect me and my emotions when awake. I'm almost always lucid in my dreams. I was running away from scary situation and I woke up trying to catch my breath and was so afraid.
My dreams have an emotional effect on my waking self also. Sometimes I will be motivated to do something I would ordinarily not have the motivation to do, because of something that happened that morning in my dream. Other times I'll be going about my day and suddenly feel what I call "dream sense", kind of like a "spidey sense" and when I focus on it, I realize I was just reminded of something that happened in my dream that morning that I didn't remember dreaming until that moment! Also I'm starting to wonder if my most interesting dreams are partially lucid dreams since sometimes I'll realize that there is a reoccurrence of a place or storyline. I choose to relax and enjoy wherever the dream takes me since they have more emotional engagement than anything I feel in my waking life. I refer to these dreams as "elevator dreams" as somewhere at some point I would have seen or passed an elevator in that dream. Around 6-8 years old I had 1 of 3 repeated "elevator dreams" every night for as long as I could remember so one day I asked my Mom about it. Turns out at 2 my father had me walk out the elevator on my own while he carried my younger brother to the babysitter and I didn't get out fast enough so I was locked inside for I don't know how long. My father had to quickly drop off my brother, then take the stairs to the lobby to eventually retrieve me. I don't know the details of how I reacted to elevators after that since it's a regular part of life but my family lived with relatives for 6 months and there were no elevators there and apparently when we returned, I was hysterical the first time I encountered an elevator again. (I would've been around 3.) So my repeated dreams was actually a reference to a traumatic event I had no idea happened to me. Since then I appreciate my "elevator dreams" even when the repeated ones ended after finding out their origin and the dreams became more varied just with an elevator spotted or entered at some point.
I had a dream that the alarm clock was going off and I started nudging my husband to turn it off. It turned out our house was on fire. It is a good thing he woke up. I had rolled back over to get back to sleep when I thought he turned it off. We all got out safely including our dog. The house was toast though.
These kinds of channels always blow up. Glad I caught this one early. No doubt it will soon be amongst the *many* listing channels. Maybe I should start a channel that lists things...
I always experience some kind of sleep paralysis when I lucid dream. My whole body is heavy and numb . I Kno I can't move I have great dreams and so scary it's almost sinister. But my most recent My son in reality was talking a nap on the couch and so I decided to take a nap with my daughter in my bed. I woke up in my dream knew I was sleeping in the bed so I refused to look at my body, I went to the kitchen to make a snack for my kids, I heard my son crying I told myself to wake up I thought he was crying for real . So I woke up back in bed and he was sleeping next to me when I realized that I was still dreaming, I could still hear him crying and then laughing ( like a overlap) all the while I can see him sleep, I woke up about 3 more times before I woke up for real and found him still asleep on the couch. It's not the scariest but I was confused for a second I thought he had came in my bed.
i had a false awakening once where in the dream i woke up to go to my room because in real life i was asleep on my couch. i only realized i was dreaming because one of the windows in the room was in the wrong place only to wake up again on the couch. it’s one of the most bizarre experiences i’ve ever had. and i’ve had a few.
So I wonder what it means when you've been having dreams that have been progressing like a story or movie. For about a month now, I have been having dreams about vampires. I was bitten and "turned" in the first one, remember losing control and attacking the humans in the group I was with previously. I remember the taste of blood, and the heightened senses that are still a part of the dreams currently. However, they are not as dark as they were in the beginning. The one who turned me took me to meet the others like us who have been teaching me how to control the more primal urges. Most of the dreams lately have been somewhat boring, as they have been about learning how to stay safe and hidden, as well as dismissing misconceptions about weaknesses and other aspects of vampires that have been perpetrated by Hollywood and lore. In all honesty though, they are still interesting and I am beginning to enjoy them. I will probably never know what these dreams truly mean, but I am okay with that. It gives me something to do while volunteering at the homeless shelter or doing lab work at my job. Titration tests get quite boring after a while lol.
I would enjoy them. My dreaming version of me has a far more interesting life than I do, even when the dream takes me back to the same buildings I had been in previously or some other thing happens that I recognize from a previous dream. I just find the idea of revisiting or having a continuity in the dream world makes it more real, like another dimension I get to visit each night.
You are wrong about Jesus' father being a dream interpreter. It was Joseph the son of Rachel whom the Father of the Jews, Abraham (Jacob), loved more than his first wife. Which is a whole story by itself when the man he worked for trick him and give him the wrong wife on the night of the wedding so he had to continue working for the man for more years before he can be with this true love. Because of this, Jacob loved the two sons that Rachel had for him more than the others. The other sons, of his first marriage, was jealous and sold the older of the two Joseph to the Egyptians. They told his father that wild animals ate him. In Egypt he was set up by the Pharaoh's wife for not wanting to sex her and while in prison he interpreted the dream his two prison mates. One was executed while the other was released. He told that one who would be released to remember him when he gets out. When the Pharoah was troubled by not knowing why he was getting the dreams he was getting and what they meant, the ex-prison mate told the Pharoah of Joseph and his skill of interpreting dreams. Joseph (not Jesus father of Mary and Joseph) was able to correctly interpret the Pharoah's dream as 7 years of plenty crops and 7 years of famine. Joseph was made leader in Egypt. During the famine, his brothers come to exchange goods for food and that is how they were reunited and settled in Egypt and then had to escape after Joseph died of old age and his family was being oppressed and enslaved in Egpyt. Then Moses came and lead their exodus back to their promised land.
