Absolutely LOVE this! My Daddy was 61 years young when I was born. I was blessed with a Father who took time for me and was with me frequently. I loved curling up on his lap and listening to his childhood memories. Daddy, is of course gone now. However, I still LOVE listening to old time memories from all ages.
My Daddy talked of getting an orange and a candy cane for Christmas. One Christmas they had a boy staying with them and he got one too. He thought that was really something. We have no idea how hard it was back then.
So silly of me but this made me cry. Brought back so many beautiful memories of my grandmother. She passed in 2007 at 92. I miss her and my grandfather every day it seems.
This is very special, this sweet lady telling of her childhood reminds so much of my grandmother and Aunt, my grandmother was born in 1899, my Aunt in 1920, they would tell me stories of their childhood just like the stories of this sweet lady, such great memories, love and respect your elders, thank you for sharing this, Blessings to this sweet lady and your family 👪 SUBSCRIBED.
