This video is an introduction to how a CNC router works, the operating computer system Mach 3 that runs it and ArtCam CAM program. This video starts you off from the beginning of CNC routers and a must see before you spend your $money$.

I have a symmetric design about vertical axis drawn on autocad. This design is fed to artcam which makes it machine readable. Problem occurs when I cut the design as it is not cut as per the design dimensions. One half is different than the other half. And it has happened on multiple occasions. I have checked the design in autocad as well in artcam but there is no deviation from the design. Then why is this error happening again and again. Please help me with this issue. Thanks.

Hi Roger, very nice intro to CNC, when I make a circle of 20 mm of diameter in ARTCAM, why MACH3 does it of 21.5 mm, I am using G-code .tap extension, or any other figure always MACH3 does it from 3% to 5% bigger, thanks in advance for reply.

Roger Webb ok and how when you don't want screw holes on the back ? :), i have claimed with 4 blocks on the side of the wood. it worked very well but a bit dangerous when the wood get loose it will lift the wood up :P
