Thank you very much I just found you as I was looking for No jelly plate. I have so much stuff I can't justify buying a jelly plate. I expected that someone would improvise. Thank you for your creativity ❤️💐
Love it when you go off script and experiment! What wonderful patterns. This is something that can be done with children. All the pix are beautiful. Its so awsome to hear your spontaneous laughter again. That when we know you are in the groove. Keep it up, you are such a great pied piper for all of us. Love.🤗🤗🤗🤗
But you saw it 😂….it doesn’t really matter, cling plastic would work too…just tape it to your table…it works exactly the same …at the 9;17 min I explain it.❤❤❤
Now I will most definitely have a go at this I love them all! As you say the Gelli plates are so expensive for what they are but this is a fabulous idea... thank you for sharing x
Thank you so much Annemarie, I really really enjoyed watching you Gelli printing without a plate, and I really really love ❤️ your result’s are really really awesome and I really really liked your way of doing things so I’ve subscribed and given you a thumb’s up too. Please stay safe and well too
You're a genius! I went to a famous craft store the other day and looked at jelly plates and they had them in 2 sizes: one let's say 8.5 by 11" and the other 5 by 7" (I'm guessing, as I don't remember the exact size, but close enough). The former was a whopping 26$ and the latter 16$. If that's not highway robbery I don't know what is. Oh sure, if one has plenty of money ..... fine! But for the rest of us? Nah! I like your method best. Thank you so much!
Hi, interesting video. looks fun Just wondering what type of plastic sheet is that on your worktop? It looks like the very thin, slinky soft polythene that clothes are covered with when they come back from the dry cleaners?
Hello, I’ve been subbed to you for a few years now, you’ve inspired me to give acrylic pouring a go and I’ve even started my own RU-vid channel. Can I ask, were you just laying your paint down on plastic? You went on to answer my question, but it would be nice to get a comment from you 😀. You would be very welcome in my crafty virtual coffee shop 😀🤓🤗🙏
I always answer 😄 I have done this on bakingpaper and an old silicone mat , in the video its on butcher paper with a plastic lining. Lots of success on your channel ❤
I've just stumbled across your video. What a pleasure watching you play and experiment. I've been looking for a less expensive option to gelli-plate, smelli-plate LMAO... really cool. Btw, where did you get your rollers from?
I have a cheap one that they sell where they sell wallpaper...but the real rollers are a bit more expensive but worth it...they clean much easier. ♥♥♥ Thank you ♥♥♥
This is just mono printing. No jelly needed. Any flat surface that you don't mind getting paint on is fine. But if you want to press really heavy items into it, you do need a soft surface with some give.
What might have happened if you put white on top of the paint that was too dry, and then done your print? I'm a big fan of Gerda Lipski - just love her work!
That one (at 8:25) with just a few white bubbles? I could see a little underwater scene...a seahorse perhaps or some fish or the like swimming on by. Great imagination activator. :)
Well now wasn’t that so cool! I love when you get into the mad scientist /artist mode! Oooh yeah the gold would be cool on those stencils Annemarie! Wahoo! Say! Is that a new robe you’re wearing? Did the other one get too stiff from paint? Love it! Hugs!
Here is a link for making your own permanent gelli plate. I have made over 12 for a class I am teaching. www.crafttestdummies.com/recipe-homemade-permanent-gelli-plates/
