Don't judge the reservation with only an exceptional example. Go see the ratio of ST and general category students it may be 4:10 . In top positions , the UR category holding the position then how you can say that this is wrong . Its the equality ,u accept it or not

The richest guy in my school was a ST while the poorest one was a GENERAL one. The ST got admission in DU's one of the top colleges Sri Ram College of Commerce with 60% marks while even with 88% marks the general guy didn't get addmission in any DU College . Hence thanks to the reservation St guy with no efforts and hard work got the best. And who cares about the poor.

In my opinion there should be reservation of economically weaker sections. There should be certain conditions - 1. Criteria of 8 lakh should be decreased. 2. Most important thing if someone falling in EWS category then he should get fee relaxation in examination forms.

EWS is very much needed for people like us who are from lower middle class family. In present situation in our country talent is not enough to get any Government job because of this so called Quota System. Because a candidate from SC or ST or OBC if score greater than UR candidate then why he or she will be granted in UR category although he or she selected his category at time of form fillup. If there is violations of constitution as per indra swahney case, then reduce caste base reservation & maintain 50% resevation. Also follow reservation rules mentioned by ambedkar which was not for unlimited time.

Being from SC community, I support reservation for EWS because it will allow Economically weak people to achieve what they can't achieve due to Economic Hurdles which perhaps the Biggest Hurdle in current times. Also there should be Creamy Layer in SC/ST reservation as aspirant like me who can barely afford any UPSC coaching fees can get selection instead of someone like Tina Dabi whose family is quiet Well Off. Why not abolish the reservation by 2047, while ensuring that by 2029 each and every child of India attends school. That will ensure them the equal opportunity. Hence when they reach 18 years of age there is no need for a reservation for them.

The previous reservation was based on the challanges and issues at that period of time. In today's scenario the Economic criteria also plays a major role for depreciation of a person. During that era it was social and educational was considered as criteria which was dominant but today now the economic criteria is also playing the role. Being a SC, I also support ews reservation because it gives chance to poor ones in rest of the category and those who are opposing the reservation system and demanding to end entire reservation, go through the daily newspaper you will find the discrimination happening daily in India and this is at that time when reservation is provided to them to equate them to general but top caste are always in mood to oppose this and support casteism.. First eliminate casteism in such a way that no one able to distinguish who was previously from general or reserved one then end reservation.. Casteism is such a worse thing that even reservation system can't provide any relief to uplift them at social level.

Though my children r not eligible for any reservation due to CL clause for OBCs but I believe reservation must be there for all classes based on their respective population. It is the most scientific basis for allocation of resources and opportunities. Merit has no meaning as high marks holder have failed to prove their worth a doctor or an engineer etc . Private Medical colleges are charging upto Rs2Cr for a candidate scoring 100 marks out of 720. Is it not against merit theory?

Every policy has to do to its time. And time has changed. The matter should be dealt with in conscience of post modern world situation. Govt. Policies don't only deprive sc st obcs there r lot of general people who are in dire situation. All other reservation should be abolished and economic criterion should be the basis. Reservation doesn't directly help in dealing with caste discrimination, for that there should be strict laws. And this economic criterion should also be abolished gradually after proper survey of its implementation.

Things need to be changed is the annual income,it must be less than 2-3 laks.A family income of 8 lakhs is not financially weak. General categories people are also suffering when their family income is not that much so that their childs can afford a professional course from a reputed college ultimately life ends at doing core graduation ultimately making them unemployed after studies. Those who do not have resources must be given opportunity not to those who are already having everything as i have seen with many IAS officers claiming their reservation inspite of coming from a established family.

In my opinion for humanity, reservation in much needed on economic basis instead of class basis because once the economic conditions improve postion in society also grows. If a person of backward class become rich he becomes powerful and gained respect in society. If a person of farward class becomes poor he looses his power and hence looses respect in society.

Economic basis doesn't take into account a person's social background which is a large factor in the opportunities he or she gets. A brahmin even if be poor would have all sorts of professionals in his extended family. This isn't the case for a poor obc sc st. Religion didn't demotivate Brahmins from studying like it did for sc st OBC.

Ews category is for financial weaker section my father earns 125000/-annualy by computer cleaning I can't afford a laptop as well I am struggling with my broken mobile any how I bought few books can't go for coaching as well was working in call centers but coz of the harrasement left and started studying with having a Tag line of General category. In our constitution our makers during that time came with sc and st reservation coz in those days the time was like that but now a days SC St and Obc many have all the benefits with them with well established and good financial support why they still require reservation. Correction is required in our constitution that SC St and Obc having income below 3 laks per annum should opt for reservation and rest should compete as normal without any reservation. On Top of that these person needs reservation on Ews also such a shame.If not given then saying breaching of Constitution. Do one thing no need to sit for exam take the seats like this only. For Ews 20% reservation should be there. Thank you I am sorry but this is a bitter and harsh truth of our society.I hope many of my SC..St and Obc category friends will agree with it.

There should be two reservation For Ews 40 percent (where General 10 Obc 10 including ncl,Sc 10,ST 10) For PWD 10 percent And rest 50 percent to be unreserved as per constitution. And here general ,sc ,st and obc all are getting benifit equally.
