July 11, 2021 - Nuway Grand River Rumble - Wisconsin Dells, WI Cole Krutzfeldt {R} of Steel Valley Empire NY defeated Ryder Shelton {G} of Bonhomme Wrestling Club MO by 6-1
also had a leg in on the left side cranking his hips to the right and cranking the half to the left, dirty wrestlers, what happend when he took the guy down, no points for that and no back points, that ref should retire before a wrestler is hurt, horrible officiating . got up 4-0 and did nothing the rest of the match.
terrible officiating ... . G got pummeled early on, then came back - at 4:24 mark with score it 4-0 R, G puts R on his back from neutral position - should have been an easy call for 5 points - 2 TD, 3 NF . Ref gave noting even though G clearly had control . from that point on G was more aggressive and you can see R stalling, trying to run out the clock - I guess R could dish it out early but couldn't take it when G fought back . Ref definitely decided the outcome here ... .
An excellent start to the match and for much of the match Cole was in control taking the legs out and keeping Ryder flat and using the hand on the back of the head and the arm on the neck to turn Ryder several times. I'm also not sure why Ryder wasn't credited with the takedown or near fall points at one point....was it because Cole had his arms locked around Ryder and that was deemed "neutral."? Ryder's frustration was definitely growing as the match went on. I'm sure it isn't a pleasant feeling to have his face rubbed in the mat several times, though that is part of what happens in matches sometimes. I was actually amused by Ryder's wave and kiss at whoever he felt was against him at that moment, though I'm sure the people present there felt differently about his actions. You can certainly tell he is passionate about his wrestling and brings a lot of energy to the mat. Great win by Cole though.
They were in a continuous scramble and neither wrestler had demonstrated control over the other beyond reaction time. I have been in that situation before where I regretted awarding the takedown too early because the wrestler in Cole's position ended up coming out on top, making my takedown call for the wrestler in Ryder's position look obviously wrong, so I understand why this seasoned state final official made the decision to hold the call until the action settled. Unfortunately for Ryder, the action settled out of bounds. Had they not gone out, I suspect Ryder would have eventually been awarded the takedown.
Thank goodness Shelton had all those fluffy curls, to cushion his head everytime he hit the map. Krutzfeldt wrestled well and was clearly the better of the two, but i agree with other commenters that the match was getting too rough and tumble towards the end. Felt Shelton really wanted to harm his opponent
Of course he's trying to harm his opponent. A wrestlers gonna go to the fullest extent that he's allowed to, to win the match. Refs fault for not calling if it led to bad case scenario.
Wrestler with thick loose curly hair Ryder came on strong near midway and at end of match but his bravado was no match for Cole's wrestling skills and early in the match riding time. Very energetic match by both wrestlers.
I agree the more I watched, it looked like it got way carried away. They'll all have broken fingers and dislocated shoulders if they keep it up. That's not clean wrestling.
Green was actively putting his own arm back in the power half to get out of the position by making it look like a potentially dangerous position. Red wasn't putting it there green was. Can see that at 0:24 Green actively move his hand back and Red grab his wrist and pull it back to front to complete the PH. Did this numerous times to get out of the pinning combination, than broke Greens little finger at 2:49 grabbing the right hand little finger with his left hand while it was underneath. Can see him pull it out. Red did well imo keeping his focus on the match with the broken finger. Didn't go back to that PH he dominated the first 2 periods with. I wouldn't either. Foul tricks indeed.
you dont know what your taking about, he was cranking the arm once it goes past the center line of the head its should be stopped to avoid injury, read the rules !!
